in the evening :
maasi and alana were sitting in the hall with their family pandit to discuss the shub muharth for robbie's marriage with kasturi.
pandith:'..aaj say panthrah dthin bath ek shub dhin hai.uss kay alawa dho mahee nay kay baath hee hai...'
alana:'two months later is fine.we will have ample of time for preparation..'she prefered the later date.
maasi:'wa hee teek rahay ga...😊'she too agreed.
next day alana went to chawala house with maasi:
JP and ajay greeted them while shaatha served them with hot tea and biscuits.
alana:'kasturi dhekhaa yee nahee thay rahee hai...'her eyes searched for her.
ajay:'she is on the terrace,i think studying.shall i call her...'he was about to call her.
alana:'no it is ok.not now later.before that we want to say that our pandith has said shub date two months later.....in the month of march...'
JP:'march mai!😲😔....thab tho kasturi kay semester exams hongay...'
alana:'oh !...i see ...that doesn't strike to our mind....'
ajay:😕
alana:'we have one after 15 days...'
JP:'shaayath wo teek ho ga...'
maasi:'ithnee jalthee😲....'
alana:'we have less time..😕'
JP:...hamaray pariwaar kay ek sathasya ko hum abhee abhee kho yeah hain. iss leyeah hum chaha thay hai shaathee bahuth simple say ho.waisay bhee hamaray family mai shaadi mandir mai hee karthay hai...'
ajay:'papa...issa kaisay?....'
alana:'it is fine with us.later we will have a grand reception...'
maasi:'robbie ko jalth say jalth wapas aajana chahee yeah na😕...'she started worrying
alana:'maasi robbie ek hafthay mai aajayeah ga.shaadi tho dtho hafthay kay baath hai...'
when they were discussing kasturi came down jumping two two steps from the stairs.
kasturi:'shaantha aunty...mainay kabsay...'paused her sentence looking at alana and another elderly lady sitting beside her.
maasi:'yeah koon bachee hai...?'she scanned kasturi from top to bottom.she was wearing black designed dark pink synthetic short skirt until her knee and tight short sleeve black cotton blouse just touching her shoulder and two short ponnies waving on her shoulder.
alana:'ushhh...maasi yeahee hai kasturi...'she whispered.
maasi:'😲...kya...yeah tho bahuth choti hai...😕'
ajay:'kasturi...thum kapaday bathal kar awo...'he tried to send her in.she was waiting for that chance ,immediately turned to go in.
alana:'kasturi ether wao....'she did not allow her to go in.
kasturi halted for a second and walked towards them with note book in one hand and pencil in other hand.
'lollipop will suit her better...'alana imagine lollipop in her hand instead of pencil and try to control her smile.
alana:'in say milo yeah hamari maasi hai😊...srif maasi nahee maa hai...'she hold her hand , made her sit between her and maasi.
maasi:'thum kosi katsha mai pad thee ho?...wa hee saathwee ,aatween...'
alana:'maasi...yeah school mai nahee university mai padthee hai...chemical engineering...'
maasi:'bagwaan ! yeah thay ko 😲! lad ki banee engineer.....'
alana:'maasi thum kis zamaanay mai ho.aaj kal ladki yaan sab kuch kar thay hai.engineering tho maamooli ki baath hai...'
maasi:'padaaye teek say kar thee ho...?'she asked patting on her back.
ajay:'ji...ek number mai aathe hai...😛'he said behalf of her.
maasi:'ithna chota number?😲...'
alana:'maasi ek number mathlab sabsay avwal...😊'
maasi:'tho...pakaanay wakaanay nahee aatha ho ga😕...'
alana:'uss ki kya zaroori hai maasi...?😊'she supported her.
before they leave maasi took a blue velvet rectangular jewel box from her hand bag .
maasi:'yeah robbie kay maa ka zaywar hai. hamaaray tharaf say shagun hai.'she opened that blue velvet box and showed to kasturi.in side there was a traditional dark pink ruby simple set for neck,ear and finger.
shaantha:'bahuth sundar hi ji...😃'she peeped in and took it from them.
next day alana called robbie and discussed about his work progress.during their conversation she did not speak about his marriage date,she want to keep it as a surprise for him.'he will be back with in a week.for sure he is going to be a surprised to know about his marriage date.'her thought brought a broad smile on her face.
as because he was unable to complete his work, unfortunately that week robbie could not return india.he was compelled to stay in UK for yet another week.
maasi:'ab kya karayn?😕...yeah lad ka bhee na ?kuch bhee kaam chalsay chalth kartha nahee hai...😔'
alana:'maasi yeah gharka kaam thodi hai?.hamaari marzee say karnay...mehndi kay subha wo aajayeah ga...'she tried to convinced her.
maasi:'shaadi kay kapaday tho silwana hai...😔''
alana:'maasi...desiner rajan ko robbie ka measurement patha hi.wahee tho uss kay concerts kay kapaday banatha hai...'
on the mehndi day from the morning alana was constantly checking on the net and continuously contacting the airlines to know the where about of robbie's flight and its landing time.she started worring when she came to know, because of bad weather the flight was diverted and halted in between.
the flight was suppose to arrive delhi early morning 8am , but landed delhi airport safely at 6pm.she took a peaceful breath after knowing robbie's flight landed delhi airport safely .
when robbie reached home it was around 8pm.in and out of the sabarwal house was decorated with tube lights,serial pulps , artificial flower strings and other decorating stuffs.he wondered looking at the decoration.the parking area was as bright as day.there was no place for him to park his car.
robbie:'kya baath hai ramsighn?😛.aaj diwali tho nahee hai...😉'he raised his doubt to his driver while getting down from the car.
as soon as his car entered the sabarwal house ,
'robbie aagayeah...robbie aagayeah...'his cousins came running, shouting with joy.
cousin:'thank god..finally you arrived..'she took the baggage from his hand.
divya:'bhaiya...'she ran and came from other side and hold his hands.
robbie:'thum..!'it took some time for him to speak.
robbie:'divya...thum kab aayee bording say?.school ki chutti ho ga yee kya?'he pulled her towards him.divya is robbie's cousin sister,maasi's only daughter doing grade twelve in ooty boarding school.
cousin:'bhaiya thumai nahee patha?.kal thumaari shaadi hai.aaj mehndi..'
robbie:'come on mazaak bandth karo😡.i am tired of my journey...' he walked ahead.his cousins followed him.
alana:'yeah log sahee kaha ra hay hai...😊'she too came out to receive him.
robbie:'dii.. 😡thum bhee milga yee in log kay saath saath...'
alana:'wo such kahay rahay hai...😊'
robbie:'wofo..come on dii.don't trouble me.i am tired.' he entered the hall with dis belief and stood still.
in the middle of the sabarwal hall there was a stage decorated with flowers.kasturi in a simple light green salwar with less accessories was sitting in the center of the stage with her fair palms stretched elegantly ,surrounded by girls of her age and some ladies of middle age.they were designing her hand with fresh green mehndi.beside kasturi the girl who was sitting was non other than her friend shivani.only after seeing shivani robbie realized that they are not mocking him.
alana:'i think you need to sleep for a while...😃' she said patting his shoulder.
robbie:'😡...dii..'he looked with a false anger.
alana:'achcha laga na surprise...😃'
robbie:'ummm...😛😳'
alana:'tho ab chalow.jalthee say fresh ho jawo...😊'she said holding his hand.he walked in holding alana's hand and looking at kasturi as if walking under black magic.
shivani:'robbie came...'she whispered to kasturi.
without shaking her hands kasturi raised her head.her sight traveled through the crowd ,catched robbie's and stood still on him.robbie looked at her admiringly with a sparkling eyes.he was focused on kasturi.the surrounding people were out of his sight.
alana:'robbie...chlo..😛'he came out of his black magic when alana pulled him forward.he followed alana, claimed the stares continue staring at kasturi. kasturi followed him with her sight till he reached the top stare.
