Some Posted here for TRP for the serial saying how the tracks motivated them to present 'FACTS'. The long post and efforts made there motivated me to do my own fact checks for 2018, 2019 and 2020 years.

Below TRP is very good analysis to look back how the entire serial panned and some of the steps that makers took. And i also had in background reading silently many TRP threads way back last year and many observations stay true even today when you look at one year or whole serial TRP trend.

I also believed that Channel and PH is here for Business and NO charity; TRPs reading clearly why they did what they did.

ALERT: FOR LONG POSTS

Please note FOR BELOW DATA. I have tried to be as factual as possible with accuracy with

*TRPs have been taken Solely from one Salil to maintain consistency hence the larger trend should remain. i took data from twitter account than to skim through TR threads (this maintains a consistency). There are variations depending on source but 2018-2020 trend should remain same.

* I was more inclined to used IMPRESSIONS the official data of BARC is that which gives viewership (in '000 ) rather than TRP because the calculations have keep changing.

*Salil' data can be used for TRP, Slot position, Channel Position. For Ranking and Impressions i have dependents on iwm website and Tellychekker

The data is listed YEAR followed by WEEK followed by EPI Dates and then TRP/ SLOT Position 1st or 2nd or 3rd mainly Star, Zee and Colors competing there/ CHANNEL Position for All slots

Conclusions i could derive from the data

*TRPs above 2.0: 13/ 14 WEEKS it ran for 2018(Only ONE week 45 it got 1.5) else it has above 2.0 all across which is good for new entry.

*What matters more is SLOT POSITION across channels, KZK started slow but slowly and steadily gave competition *edited by DT* which is where it is competition for viewership or revenues for Star Plus CHANNEL. It slowly rose to 2nd or year ending 1st position.

*Another good index is among Channel Position meaning as whole Bunch of viewership/ revenues where it stood. Here also among prime time slot 7-11 pm it quickly entered TOP 3 along *edited by DT* and steadily grew to TOP 2 at year end.

*Overall Position among all Shows surely improved and it was within TOP 20 but it did better later. But as said for Channel what matters in granularity is slot and channel position (no channel kills it most popular show Top 3/ 5 unless the channel as a whole is doing bad).

*Hence contrary to what people assume it did VERY WELL if not the BEST for the show at opening.

Conclusions i could derive from the data

*TRPs above 2.0: 4 / 9 WEEKS (It was mainly due to low trp across channels and Komo Track of S1)

The only worse track than this for 2019 was Bajaj track when TRP constantly was below 2.0.

There was steady decline from last year end TRP 2.9/ 2.3 during this phase

1. It was attributed to Komo entry and discussed at length here on this forum for taking S1 route.

2. The decline only stopped in WEEK 4 (TRP 2.3) and SLOT Lead gained; the week Anurag realised his love for Prerna. The SLOT Lead was only gained for WEEK 6 EPI 95-100 Love Confession; The TRP 1.9 for that week is low as because it was generally low for all serials that week (Bhagyas came down 2.1 to 2.3)

3. I am amazed at correlations here! People who questioned if AnuPre story worked need to ponder. There are many more such examples ahead. Surely it was highpoint and need to gain TRP.

4. The declined later when AnuKomo marriage was fixed EPI 106-110 and EPI 111-115. But there was also in general TRP declines across channels

5. Silver lining was the it was Still Channel Top 2 show by end and continued for entire next track and it had now firmed itself for slot leader position giving serious competition to other channels show *edited by DT*

PRERNA AT BASU BADI TRACK; THE BEST FOR THE SHOW AND FIRMLY SET

*BALAJI PH competing with *edited by DT* ON TRPs

Conclusions i could derive from the data
*TRPs above 2.0: 14/ 14 WEEKS it ran. Two WEEKS 13 and 20 It beat *edited by DT* to emerge Overall 1st Position

1. Komo1 turned out to be best Antagonist despite S1 line due to efforts put by FL to fight back.

2. The serial did very for Channel on SLOT where it was SLOT Leader for all duration and Channel' Top most show as well. This is the most important for revenue stream for Channel. Hence all talks of flop, mahaflop is guarangutan error as no serial who has such track record can be bracketed there!

3. It competed during this entire duration with *edited by DT* and beat them to achieve topmost position making top 3 for Balaji PHs as well.

4 . During entire 14 weeks duration the Show was also in Top 5 across (except 3 weeks when Top 10)

5. The dream RUN should have continued with Serial set firmly on the TRACK but fate had other designs and DISASTER loomed on it in next TRACK.

BAJAJ TRACK; THE WORST TRACK OF KZK2 SINCE START AND DAMAGED THE SERIAL THE MOST

*SLOT LEADERSHIP LOST and moved to SLOT 3rd by end of it

Conclusions i could derive from the data

*TRPs above 2.0: 5/ 20 WEEKS. Worst Performing track since start (one year complete by end of it) and Year 2019. Blame this track to bring KZK2 between 1.5-2.0 range consistently for 1st time.

1. It started with 2.0 and some hope of not repeating S1 (EPI 186-190) but subsequently it was ALL downfall over long term

2. The track was so bad compared to previous runs that at end of last 5 weeks it is clear why it was ended abruptly and actors/ characters shown the door without clue of change of tracks. It makes all sense when one see 20 weeks OR last one year data for this serial from Channel'/ PH eyes who only care Business as i said. Typically a track/ character/ actor EXIT is preceded by 4-5 weeks of TRP drop and KZK TRP values between 1.6-2.0.

3. The channel lost its SLOT LEAD by end of it and Serial was also NO more in TOP 2 affecting Revenues/ viewership for PH/ Channel. But it did gain in NEXT TRACK SLOT meaning all was not lost.

4 . In this track it started with Top 10 Overall from previous track and by end of last 10 weeks it went from Top 10 to Top 20 shows following the decreasing trend of TRPs

5. Any who wants to check for Prerish as any hope need to go and check Episodes for Favorite Uninterrupted scenes and TRP for that week, it is lowly. No wonder makers never gave them any chance.

3. But the other important factory which is Serial' contribution to channel as a whole was lost as it remained in Top 4 and not Top 2.

Conclusions i could derive from the data

*TRPs above 2.0: 4/ 12 WEEKS. Rest of time between 1.7-2.0 with one 1.5

1. The track started with 1.9+ TRPs tried to reach 2.0 but could not sustain. This show how Komo 2 track (contrast it to Komo 1 track) and later Viraj track did not that well.

2. Infact the pulling of Plug on Viraj track followed exactly same trend in dropping to 1.5 when it was pulled abruptly like Bajaj 1 track making a clear habit of Channel/ PH on how they make decisions.

Typically a track/ character/ actor EXIT is preceded by 4-5 weeks of TRP drop and KZK TRP values between 1.6-2.0.

3. The channel mostly maintained Slot 2nd position it was still a loss for Channel not be Slot 1st

4. But the other important factory which is Serial' contribution to channel as a whole was lost as it remained in Top 3/4. *Edited by DT*

5. Which explain why another shock/ leap was. I think the strategy was some how gain SLOT lead and better Channel ranking to protect revenues. But it bombed in beginning itself, that week TRP was 1.8.

And then covid came.

I will continue the thread for 2020 post covid also but it is clear what many said including this forum

I had said then and say it now Bajaj track 1 set this serial on path to death because no subsequent recovery meant Channel would be forced to take action.

The PH instead of focusing on writing brought the stupid AnuNePrernaKoMara and Bajaj Track 2 which did sound the death bell in my opinion after covid start because there audience had made up their mind after Komo1 / Bajaj1/ Komo2/ Bajaj2 tracks.

1. FACT: shows take time to settle down when they start. It's not uncommon for shows to take 1.5 to 2 months to reach their peak. In fact there are many shows which never reach their peak of topping the charts through the course of their run and yet are termed hits.

2. Next, there's something called a tragectory. An upward or a downward graph. And even going by the slot data posted by one member, the tragectory is clear, that the show had a week on week upward tragectory. I. E the show wa simp roving in its rating through the course of the Naveen track. In fact the rankings started dropping again when the show lost its momentum post Naveen's exit and picked up again only when the track again went in the direction of anupre eventual love confession, as can be seen in the data.

3. Next, komolikas full fledged entry and anurag and komolikas marriage actually dropped the ratings and the show lost is slot. (refer to the post made by a helpful member). The show regained momentum only when prerna entered as the first wife and the pre vs kom began.

4. Next, what, pray tell me, does a Komo centric plot mean? Honest question, but have members who call it a Komo centric track actually watched those episodes? Because anyone who watches it can see that komo is clearly at the LOSING END in these tracks. Prerna keeps winning every challenge, there was an overload of anupre moments for the viewers, and it was obvious that the end of this track would result in anupre reuniting again. How this becomes a komolika centric track beats me? I guess definition of "centric tracks", are changed here. Because the way any average viewer sees this and what he understands from it is that this was the only track of the show which was anupre centric. Prerna was anurag's wife, they loved each other, prerna was fighting komolika and winning.

I think the story of this show in terms of the ratings and who and what didn't work has been clear for a long time. However convenient narratives have happened in the past and will continue hence forth too.

Its all for 2 more weeks. With that, the show will end, and so will these trp discussions. 😤

Happy ending news promo didnt work much for the online audience much given online trp is around 18.4 i guess hope trp audience is looking forward to the happy ending 😃
