I SO KNOW THIS. Brings back memories. I didn't remember for a second, and then I was like, I have watched this some five six times on TV itself coz back then internet was very expensive and I had only 1GB BSNL for one month, internet mein dekhna wasn't even a possibililty. 😆 Completely off topic, but since I remembered the reference and clearly recollected as well, I said it off.

Life was peaceful though, I wasn't even on IF, so didn't know anything about TRPs. It was gross, but it had so much drama, I am not even surprised it had such high TRPs. 😆 I remember making my entire family watch it

I will not go back to explaining about how and why the Husband-Wife relationship has importance for TRP.

That’s what doesn’t work in the TRP world. The duality and complexity!

That’s simply my point.

Just to put things in perspective. There was a show long back and the online audience were angry at the FL keeping a Karwa Chauth Vrat for her so called ‘Grey’ husband and eating some food picked up from dustbin.

There was anger and Furore but, guess what? That episode had the highest TRP ever!!!

It’s a SAD REALITY. It’s VERY SAD.

So, what you wrote are great points, logical too. But sometimes life, stories and business models of ITV works very differently. It’s not about LOGIC, it’s about the shock value that sells and then kitchen politics and finally MARRIAGE sanctity.

I get what you are trying to say but from what I have observed, Kzk’s core audience has always been different. This is one of those rare shows on itv where barc and online ratings have mostly been in sync

I find it quite hard to believe that the general tv audience do not invest in the characters emotionally. They may not discuss and analyse the show the way we do but is it possible to watch it everyday just for the sake of drama? Some emotional connect has to be there . I have heard of a few instances where tv vamps were beaten up by a mob because they hated what the character did onscreen. This would not have happened if the character had not evoked strong emotions in the minds of the viewers.

I don't think we can generalise ,categorise or judge what audiences trp or otherwise want.

We watch or read what entertains us and that is the only justification really for any fiction. It may be morally ambiguous or even reprehensible but as long as it entertains us, we will watch.

I am entertained by the awkward Prerish scenes so I overlook the speed at which Bajaj has fallen for Prerna and am irritated instead at what I consider Anurag ogling Prerna . I assume those who are entertained by Anupre interactions can justify them and probably find Bajaj repellant.

Charu 🤗I like discussing with you. It’s hard to find rational discussions despite having different viewpoints and not being attacked and war zoned.

😆 i loved that episode too..but again ,everything boils down to what the character feels. If she was ready to forgive her gray husband who ruined her life , And he started showing signs of humanity which she went fida over, Why would the audience complain?

🤣 That’s what I want to tell everyone, the show is about characters and what they feel and not we want them to feel I wanted to give two kicks to the FL in her butt for doing this rubbish but my MIL gave me sermons of how glorious a wife she is.

Similarly, till the time prerna accepts bajaj as her husband, from all her heart ,bajaj has No right to act like an insecure husband . He has to earn her love, respect and trust after what he did to her. He needs to be redeemed. Infact He is not complaining at all to prerna. He said he trusts her and that's it. He is annoyed with anurag alone . It's between them . First the husband wife should move out of bb instead of blaming anurag for everything.

True

Anurag is not "touching" her in an objectional way that the audienxe is creeped out..honestly I also dont want near her because he can't see , She has gone too far and he as an individual should act decent enough with a married woman specially when she is telling him to back off.... . But if prerna let's it happen ,it's between them..again.. .it's not an ema because prerna is constantly avoiding him and asking him to move on. Audience i am sure are not miffed with situations that these characters are creating and suffering due to that..bajaj came to bb , reaction will be anurag and prerna clashing every moment . And anurag and bajaj too..

It’s not about the TOUCH it’s about the TOUCH of emotions that swoops upon her. This challenges a TRP audience’s brain cells. Psychologically, we as a society are conditioned to believe that a woman BELONGS to a man. And, that belongingness should have been with Bajaj as per their expectations.

This is not in response to your post but generally . I agree with you, I knew it from.tbe beginning that komo repeat will never go down well with the audience, specially given the way they execute all tracks. First prerna showing attitude to anurag and not any guilt for ruining him, then she suddenly started trusting bajaj and doing wifey duties and now bajaj getting attracted ro her . Its happening too soon and not happening in a good way..

I agree it’s happening too soon and not in a seamless way!

I would like to add something more to throw some light on the psyche of people and society as a whole.

When a woman fights and CLAIMS her right, it’s seen as EMPOWERMENT, but, when a man does the same, it’s seen as ENCROACHMENT.

We strive so hard to establish EGALITARIAN society but the problem lies with the years of conditioning .

We live in a STRANGE world.

That's right . We can't generalize specially on the basis on the forum reaction and opinion..we are here for the actors, trp junta? God knows what they want. Afterall shows like nagin and nazar are superhits..kzk is a regular show..itna deep analysis is scope nai hai

I was on IF but watched the show only in 2015 .

I actually read a lot of posts on the forum after watching the show and yeah there seemed to be a lot of fireworks on the forum 😆but there were also a lot of very well written posts on there as well.
