I have to disagree here because:
1) This show is seriously very low on drama...that too interesting drama...So far every track churned out has been a copy of tracks already shown before in this very season. Started with Naveen track, then Komo, and now Bajaj...There is no new drama for people to get interested in. It is THAT boring and uncreative. And by the way its not only the tracks itself, but the scenes are also the same scenes repeated like yesterdays accident scene...Pretty much exact carbon copy of what happened in Naveen track except minor details. So its hard to believe its the drama which by the way rarely has a high point, is what the TRP audiance is attached to in this show. The only times that high drama has sold is where the leads are shown to win against or in the process of winning against the villains so far shown in the show. Be it Komo track or Naveen track....The highest peaks of TRP has been during those times with both the leads in close proximity. Otherwise TRP audience would have been disgusted with Pre residing in BB after Anukom marriage.
In KzK2 even the kid drama ie, introduction of Kuki, which has been introduced for the first time in the show, still did not increase its TRPs. A track that almost all TRP audiences relate to...I believe this is also because of how the kid was introduced to the show being a major detriment to and used as a major cause of anguish and destruction to the lead pair they have been showing for 9 plus months.
2) The kind of show that you gave an example of are where the main lead is a so called 'grey' hero...NOT the third angle.
There is a reason I feel that practically every show has a lead pair around whom the show is built on. Its to form a basis for people to relate to keep following a show continuously..Other wise why would makers pay hefty amounts of to bring big actors as lead pairs if they belive TRP audiance have no loyalty to a lead pair at all through out its course.
3) Given my two above points, I don't see any scope for TRP audiences to feel Bajaj is "wronged" if the former lead pair is shown to interact even a little bit in a cordial or caring manner since Bajaj is the one who was instrumental in separating this pair and that too without showing ANY remorse.
We all have a basic sense of right and wrong...what ever religion or country. Showing someone arm twist a nearly 2 decade's younger pregnant girl to marry a 44 years old man to save her former lover/husband/fiancee from a jail sentence that would be wrongfully put on him, does not give any basis for people to feel that person is wronged when that wife is not showing affection for him or still being a bit caring to her former fiancee/husband.
I feel if they want TRPs, they need to show a little bit more confidence and give time and scope to Bajaj and Pre to come together as a pair and make Anu move on or have Anu take a break or completely let go. Old audience can't warm up to a new pair when the old one has been destroyed and one half of that pair is constantly shown to be still immensely hurt and in complete despair. Those who can't let go of what Bajaj did to Anu without any redemption would move on to other shows, and new people would have to come into fill that space, but they have to prepare for the initial drop till they develop a loyalty to the new pair.
The fact that they are reluctant to move forward and let Anupre go completely for now, shows that they are still banking on the hope of Anupre and those who connect with Anu mostly to still be there to watch the show. Ekta made a big mistake this time in giving so much scope to Anupre for the past 9 months...They made them stick to each other no matter what for too long that they won't welcome a new pair with either of them without affecting the TRPs. And they are making a bigger mess of it by having all of them at the same residence too. But then here also it shows that they want Anupre to still interact and keep that audiance intact even now.
BY the way, just out of curiosity, have you watched this show from the beginning?
This topic is going round and round in circles and I agree to disagree with you. If I start, I would be saying some repetitive things.
I watched from the beginning and was BORED. I started watching for my fondness of Parth. And I still am amazed by the scope of acting his character provides. He is an excellent actor and Anurag is totally endearing to watch. I wasn’t excited enough to participate in discussions or even invest a second on Anupre because I couldn’t relate much to their story.
Having said that, old audience, new audience etc etc doesn’t matter. A story progresses and as long as it brings in numbers and is a thriving business, senseless logics will come into play.
