Bomb has finally exploded.
The reason for marriage was nothing else but Sneha. I would certainly call it a shallow bomb by all means.
So, Mr. Bajaj who had been keeping an eye on his daughter to make sure she is safe, which rightfully is his right, saw Prerna & Sneha for like 2 times till now, both the times Prerna had saved the child & scolded the nanny, which any sensible woman would do if she had seen a nanny being so careless. I think he saw her only one time while he might have been aware about the other incident as well. And with that one time, he had made up his mind to propose that deal to her, even before she had revealed all her cards.
What surprises me is that why did Bajaj hide this so far under the guise of loyalty, rare possession & what not? It's not a crime to marry a woman for the sake of children. Many people do it in reality. Hiding it from her just made him a shallow person.
I am amused that in 2 encounters, he decided that marrying this woman who happens to be most careless about her own child, for the sake of providing mother to his own child, would be a good idea. So far, Prerna hasn't shown any strong maternal instinct, which Ishita had shown for Ruhi countless times. Prerna hiding about this pregnancy from Anurag is still her fault but would Bajaj consider Prerna's change of heart, she may have in future about her own child knowing about his/her real father?
When did he see Sneha behaving in anyway with Prerna? There were 2 meetings only in which all she did was scold. Sneha hardly had a chance to react or behave with her in any manner.
Now the bigger question- will Bajaj respect Prerna's decision if she refuses to do what he expects of her? Prerna is a woman who is about to have her own child & under no circumstances is she bound to take up this job under the guise of marriage.
Secondly, the bond between Sneha & Prerna is non-existent as of now. They met two times as strangers. I am sure Sneha must have felt the same with a lot of sensitive woman in her past. So, when he says I have brought a mother for my daughter, without mother's knowledge, why does he expect that this would be a good decision? For an experienced man, one thing he should have known is thst life works a little differently from business, especially when it comes to emotional bond. One can always defeat a rival in chess when it is all about logic but when it comes to emotions, game of chess fails miserably.
For a man who boasts of never using woman for business or his personal gains, he stripped a woman of her authority to make such a crucial decision about her life. Bajaj just didn't want Prerna's loyalty, he wanted Prerna's love, attention & time as well for his own child.
That brings me to the final point- how is Bajaj any different from Anurag at this point? Anurag said that he married Komo & betrayed Prerna to save everyone he loved including Prerna. Bajaj said he married her under a deal only for his daughter while conveniently hiding the reason for marriage behind fancy words even when the woman demanded the answer. With that partial deal, he took away Prerna's chance of making a decision in her complete conscience about being a mother to Sneha. While he knew of the baggage that came with marrying her, she was kept in darkness about what accompanied him. To think that a young woman would be fine in being a mother to his child which he thought of revealing at the right time is ridiculous.
None of the men thought it would be a good idea to take the other equally important party into consideration, who will have to deal with the consequences of their one-sided decision 24*7, even when that's not what she had signed up for. It will be convenient to say, Bajaj forged this deal cleverly to engulf Prerna to sign for things she had no idea about, even when she signed it willingly.
When it was about revenge, it was about breaking the enemy & Prerna had a say in that decision of marrying him.
Prerna's stupidity to rush into this decision in all her impulse doesn't excuse Bajaj of what he should have done in this matter even with his morally skewed compass. Motherhood isn't a one time deal. It's a continuous process, a 24*7 job where even the birth mothers can fail.
This one reason makes Bajaj as shallow as Anurag was when he betrayed her for his self-righteous reasons.
Conclusion- Prerna's mistakes to hers & Bajaj's mistakes to him. The post intends to separate Prerna's actions from Bajaj's actions on this one matter. So, avoid making it a war zone.
