He will do many questionable and downright grotesque and detestable things. But I'm here for them. There's a reason people tout S1 ka Bajaj for being this iconic character. He introduced grey to tv and his journey had so many shades, it was hard not to be fascinated with an unconventional character like that.

What's important is for us to differentiate between understanding an action and justifying it. I hope no sane Bajaj fan justifies his wrongs. But he's the one who's hooked me to this boring af show. So I'm interested in his journey.

That's what I am doing. I get all these things he is doing but some of his acts don't stand justified at all, just like this one where he hides a crucial piece of information behind fancy words.

I am reminded of Klaus Mikaelson who did everything in The Originals for his daughter only but then rest of the characters were equally grey & interesting to make his actions justified everytime.

That's not the case here. He is the only character who plays games while rest just suffer the consequences & that's where it's hard to justify the actions. A grey character is all about justification for his wrong actions, which will be impossible if they continue to make it one-sided.

I think he's someone who trusts his gut instinct. Something he's sharpened and honed for years. And he did take her to Swiss, alone, to understand her better. Obviously, not a lot of time. But I get the gist.

Again, I think her love for Anurag wasn't the point. The point was her loyalty to the people she loved. I think he expects her to love his daughter, and provided they will be in the same house, she's bound to love her when she'll care for her. And he made a gamble. He gambled because he didn't really have time. He couldn't have waited because then she would've married Anurag. So he had to gamble, trust his instincts about what kind of girl she was and what she could do for the people she loved.

Again, the CVs didn't properly build Prerna and Sneha's interactions but by going for what they wanted to show--which is Sneha's response and openness to Prerna, something she's felt for noone else--I think the reason fits. Above all, Bajaj's action was in reaction to his own daughter's singular interest in a person. Everything else is secondary.

That's where they should shown atleast one conversation between Sneha & Bajaj to establish the background & the fact that was the first time, Sneha had reciprocated so far.

The whole marriage thing (even of Anurag-Prerna) could have been delayed in so many ways to build this track properly with this reason.

Klaus Michaelson was just another level. I think comparing him to Bajaj is doing him injustice.😆 ITV can never. I agree, his act isn't justified, any of it, but I can understand why he did and where he's coming from. So I can connect with his psyche. I couldn't at so many points during the swiss track and that was why I felt so disappointed and disconnected with him. As long as I can understand him, I'll keep watching him.

I also agree about the interesting characters part. I've repeated this so many times but a character can only be as interesting as the dynamics he plays against. Although, an interesting point about Bajaj vs AnuPre is really how fickle morality can be. I remember how selfless Anurag was after he redeems himself. SO SO SELFLESS, he was self-destructive in his love. It was beautiful but people who expected him to win at life for his karma are in for a shock because the guy suffered until the end. He never got Prerna, and he died because he couldn't leave her deadbody in the cold or he couldn't imagine living on without her.

Sometimes selfishness gets you far in life. And expecting to do good so you'll get good, isn't the point of doing good in the first place.

Like there are so many dynamics to explore if the story is done justice. For now, Prerna needs to grow a backbone and play Bajaj's game alongside him.

I completely agree. Which is why I say this show's writing is extremely shit. So many cigar phooking scenes. They should've shown Bajaj with Sneha instead. What waste of buildup for their fake suspense.

My only hope is to see this game getting balanced.

One sided victories don't entertain for song unless there is a tussle & a fight instead of mindless surrender.

Even in this case, I want Prerna to give him earful for hiding this. This time it is her right to show her anguish even when she is the selfless one. There is no crime in showing selfish traits even in the selfless ones.

Get this damn game balanced with strong counterpoints & not some mindless ramblings.

I agree! I'm so so friggin tired of lifeless Prerna. The girl needs to give him an earful, make his life hell. He deserves it. She needs to stand up for herself. Also unless the character suffers, has to make difficult choices, and grows through those choices, there's no point really. I want to see all three of them grow, and play the game. Although I think the show will focus on emotional dilemmas far more than it will on business or political. We'll have to see how that goes.

I dont find it as coercion. I dint felt that bajaj forced her into anything......he proposed a deal which stated that she has to sacrifice her life for anurag and she did that. He knew that prerna loves anurag that much that she will do it for him.

Yes it was a sacrifice for prerna but bajaj was the one who set the trap for prerna so that she could sacrifice.

He proposed a deal but forced her to accept it.

I have been trying hard to make this reason work in my FF & show a different dimension of selfless Prerna but the damn show lacks inspiration of any kind & it's difficult to keep yourself in the character's shoes to continue the plot.

Anurag Basu got into the fight mode. I don't know when will Prerna madam get up to the task. Even today, all she did was cry in front of her mother & have slaps as her dose.

I am disappointed. The fooled with revenge track and gave us this.

I still hope Bajaj anu rivalry has its meaning.

He clearly said its bot professional.

Ok peeping into Bajaj mind, I guess he sees no right or wrong when he sees his daughter.

He wants to make his daugher happy, uske badle sab unhappy ho usse chalega.

He wld do anything to make her happy. Added to the fact that she is a spl child, he might want the best for her. Not justifying him here. He shld have told abt the baby earlier. Prerna tab bhi deal le leti I guess.

Show kachra ho gaya. Meri ulti ginti chaalu ho gayi hai alvida kehne ke liye.

If they really drop the revenge track, babye

For me Bajaj didn't have the kind of intensity I enjoy in my characters uptil now. But that vulnerability and intensity he showed for his daughter in the precap really won me over. I want more of that. Helpless, vulnerable, angry, losing Bajaj. And I want a strong, independent, fierce Prerna. Someone who at least has 50% of the personality Sonakshi Bose had because Erica was so good as Sona. And Anurag needs to make something of his life. I doubt his destruction arc is a positive one.
