Prerna is one of the worst ITV characters ever, but even then, I feel like Anurag and his family have been so ridiculous in the past few episodes. All of them pressurizing her and putting the onus of his release on him. I mean how on Earth did Mohini think Prerna can get him released? What ON EARTH? Where is the logic? And Anurag doing the same. She'll get me out. She is there. You're there. My god the pressure. They were actually supposed to understand her mental space and tell her it'll be okay. That kind of ridiculous pressure and emotional blackmail shouldn't be brushed under the carpet either. Honestly it's just funny, how Prerna was suddenly the one with the power to get him released. What about the Basus' affluent connections or Nivi's brainsmarts? LOL. This show is so SO BAD, even talking about is a waste of your mental capacities.

And then of course, Prerna's mahanta circle and the stupidest move of all time. She's just going to marry him now. I can't with this girl. She hits a low every time and I don't even want to talk about her.

My main problem is with what they're doing to Bajaj. Instead of building a character from ground up, they're basing him off the hype of S1's Bajaj. Somehow he's already established. Somehow he's this big shot who keeps telling everyone what a bigshot he is. I wanted him to be cruel and a little psychopathic in his emotional range. Someone who actually came off as menacing and sent chills down your spine. He on the other hand is given scenes here and there to mouth heavy words and just act cocky. I'm not against the attitude, but it kind of ruins the kind of intensity and gravitas I expect from Bajaj. He's supposed to be dark and grey but THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE THE GUTS to portray him as that. It's an all-around frustrating watch tbh. And the only reason I'm sticking is because I've waited so long to see KSG do a grey role.

My same problem is with Bajaj as well. I don't want to see him turn goodie goodie right now. I want him to do those shady things again & again to restablish that he isn't a morally uptight man in conventional ways. I want to be one of those who hates to love Bajaj for things he does at this moment. But they are playing safe with him.

Klaus-Caroline, Damon-Elena are everyone's OTP of that era. They did shady things to Caroline & Elena & yet convinced audience to root for them when they showed character growth. Klaus begins with forcing Tyler to kill Caroline but then sweeps in to save her, wish her brithday with a present & a lesson on how she is made for more while Caroline says she hates him & he remains unaffected by that. That was a good grey character.

Prerna has always been loyal. I remember first PRB marraige where she felt nothing for him, still she tried to be a good wife and an excellent mother to Bajaj's children..

See I feel all r wired in this serial

Pre I don't know what actually she is doing

Now anu's family want her to meet bajaj..... they were actually giving her pressure

Anu in this situation dreaming about honeymoon.... Idk when he will think about his business

No comments about sharmas, they are forever bechara

And I'm not actually understanding why bajaj is marrying Pre.... If His main target are basus then he should destroy their business more..... I don't think after marriage he can attack them otherwise Pre won't live with him .... So he just wants to make anu jealous?

Whole show is ridiculous

Bajaj can't be blamed for Prerna dealing with this case with so much dumbness even when he gave her first necessary clue.

You know when would Bajaj have been truly unjustified, when Prerna would have made an attempt to ditch Bajaj after getting his help & in return Bajaj would have thrashed her down into fulfilling her part of deal or if he had put some ridiculous condition before marriage - like forcing Prerna to not tell Anu about the child or if he had refused to accept her child but not let her go free from this deal or if he had forbidden her from telling about this to her family or if he had asked her to marry first & then help Anu out of jail.

But he actually agreed to every damn condition Prerna has put which doesn't make him dark at this moment but someone trying to earn goodwill. Prerna has mentioned each of her weakness & surprisingly Bajaj hasn't exploited most of them as of now. Bajaj put up a deal even when he clearly mentioned that he didn't file the complaint. He didn't protect Ronit as well to trap Prerna into saying yes. She said yes & Bajaj helped her immediately. It's Prerna herself gravitating towards Bajaj because of her own stupidity.

In all of this, Prerna is calling more shots than Bajaj is.

I loved the main post too. Coz it is starkly different to the general perception in the Forum. It is also a neutral perspective on Bajaj, which I personally can't think of, coz I am biased towards him. But I sure can appreciate one when I see it. Even in this post, you are right. Your analysis is amazing. You have presented something impartial, and asked pertinent questions, and Prerna has dulled way more than before for me, coz your ideas are sensible. They make sense. And when you said she's worse than Anurag. You are right. She is. Coz he's ready to face the world with her. But she isn't doing anything. I haven't seen the shoe before this, bit right now, Prerna is bad.

I am trying to see all three characters & only Prerna is the weakest link & that is affecting Bajaj's grey character as well since this whole rushing to marriage is making him sound like a funny man & not dark. I have no issues in hating Bajaj for his dark deeds at this point but atleast make me. This Bajaj can't be hated for even proposing that deal because he has been thoroughly moral in his own twisted way while Prerna has been ridiculously dumb.

One of the best posts ever summing up the character of Prerna and Anurag 👏

I think you've decoded what's been bothering me about RB's characterization so far...They're treating him as an established character without actually providing any prior details..The soap pretends as if we're supposed to know about him already...which is a very ridiculous writing choice...among other sins...moreover, as you correctly point out...Prerna's total lack of resistance or logical sense isn't helping the situation either...She can easily reveal the deal...She can still back out of marriage but she is doing nothing...I don't understand how she's compelled..I don't feel her compulsion or majboori...I don't feel the emergency of the situation...This is all so casual and not intense at all...There is no element of tension in the plot or the conflict...They've made a royal mess of this track...I don't understand anyone or their motivations...That includes RB...I've been complaining about his lack of establishment from day one...He is very much a cardboard character still...Ekta basically got a big name for the character...and put it all on Ksg to carry it...But he needs at least minimal writing to back him up...😆

Right now...I'd prefer if Ekta would actually turn RB into a proper villain or something...That'd be a better utilization of the character instead of this nondescript dude who doesn't inspire emotions...Also, the entire situation is very laid-back for a supposedly horrible situation...Disengaged tears, bland conversations...Boring is the word...I remember contract marriages from Ekta shows and they managed to affect me to some degree...I feel nothing for this...😆 And it's not just that but every aspect of this soap...Nothing seems intense or dramatic in a good way...Just basic crying for no reason, boring villainy and general blahness...😆

Para 2: Yeah putting the onus on Prerna made NO GODDAMN SENSE. I mean, I have seen shows where the heroine took charge when all else failed and rescued the guy. But here, they skipped the all else failed part, and out of nowhere, Prerna became responsible. Nobody else even tried. No lawyer, no Nivi, heck they could have showed them bribing the authorities and failing!

Para 4 : About Bajaj. I gave up thinking about that. In the beginning I was all, why are they showing him as a stud without establishing him as one? And you are perfectly right. But I doubt they'll ever do that. They are hell bent on making this Season shallow and basing it on the characterisation of Season 1. I think they are doing it to Prerna too, I think Prerna last season was strongly characterised and shit ( only heard never watched), so they have assumed Prerna here is strong and shit, without once feeling the need to ESTABLISH that in the first place.

Couldn't agree more!!!

Can't feel the helplessness of the situation. As a matter of fact, I was supposed to feel the angst of separation or the hatred of this deal but I can't. I can't feel the emotions!

Can't feel the pain.

Infact we can laugh off most of the things.

As for Bajaj, it's all loosely based and vague. But atleast new to my eyes and it'll take time for me to get bored of him (which I hope I don't get ever).

But other characters, I don't feel anything at all lol.

Yeah this is my problem also...I can't feel anything for any of these people...The writing has successfully removed all layers of intensity or tension from everything...I neither feel Prerna's hatred, nor the sadness of the situation...It's all very yeah whatever scenario...Which should never happen for such an important track....😆 As the popular saying goes, the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference...I feel indifferent to all of it...😆 People overstate the role of hatred in destroying the viewership of these soaps...People don't necessarily stop watching when they hate it...But when they become indifferent...This track is the definition of indifference thanks to the bad writing, development and other things...😆 Every situation is framed as casual incidents....Nothing seems momentous...

About RB...Yeah well, I think it'd be better if he is a psychopathic villain instead of whatever this is...😆 He is barely in the soap and when he is in it, there's no development...
