What happened when you root for a different character? - Page 5

Unpopular opinion but do we always have to root for couple?

I am a pakka Ejfian! But never liked SS/Erica or Devakshi.. I used to watch kuch rang for the story and for Sonakshi..

But I fell in love with AnuPre.. Dont particular like Parth/Erica as a couple.. but then suddenly, I got disconnected with AnuPre and it started during Vikrant track when AB suddenly became insecure and possessive.. Ever since then I couldnt connect to AnuPre as a couple.. In fact, I feel like I can’t recognise this Anurag Basu...

I am not rooting for PRB but if RB can change Prerna and make her the better version of herself then I am ready to give them a chance..

I have always watch a drama for the character and not really for the couple.. Because the moment grey turn into white or bad boys turn into good, everything becomes boring..

I might start watching a new show if my favourite actor is a part of it. However, the craze for the latter would only last a few days and it's the character that would matter in the long run.

Ditto ! If the character is good they can earn more fans....but not the other way round....i abs loved parth as manik but i cant bring myself to like anurag . Sometimes he is good sometimes not ..but i am not in awe of him like i was with manik . I know he will shock and rock in the swiss track bec thats his natural style... Ekta ke shows otherwise r a staple.diet ..dekh sakte hai.

My case is little different..I love parth but I could not at all enjoy ANURAG.and also his pair with erica..I feel AnuPre are sober !! I don't know but from the beginning I tried very hard for AnuPre. I liked erica in her previous show but here I dint like her.,so may be I won't like her with ksg too.there is something about her performance which I could not connect with....but I like ksg and I am liking here as Bajaj too and he is impressive..

The reason for not liking anurag could be manik....but my dislike for AnuPre is definitely not MaaNan..its purely thier performance and characterization..

(And I like ksg,gurmeet, harshad ,shaheed and Iqbal Khan.. I like sanaya,drishti, surbhi., pallavisubshah...and many more)

this happened to me

once I used to like/ship a pair onscreen. female lead replaced by someone. though I dont like her acting, still stick to that ship. dang... one fine morning pehli wali dusre avtar mein wapis aayi. I was shocked. I dont know what to do, pehli ship ko support karoon ya start shipping new pairissi confusion mein show dekhna bandh kardi maine😭

I think sab (who knows me) guess kar liya hoga whom I'm talking about😆

Then there are black characters , i feel they deserve a lot of appreciation bu5 actors r hardly liked due to their characters..except for maya , such characters come once in a decade..ppl still liked her for the fab acting and portrayal of maya..

I am not looking forward to a romantic story bw bajaj and prerna..prerna must give it back to him with interest..if this happens , who wont like it ? Anurag must fight bk ..it totally depends on the story....ksg will still be liked and appreciated but anu pre will be loved more ..only if they stop portraying them as victims but fighters..

Karanvir Bohra's character Viraj Dobriyal in Saubhagyavati Bhava.

Boy he was dark & evil by all means to the extent that you would want to kill him if you got your hands on him but actor was tremendously loved for that role. That show was all about Viraj. Just like how Jack Glesson was loved for playing Joffrey even though everyone wanted to kill Joffrey & some wanted him back once he died because he was such a fascinating thing to watch.

Then Vatsal Seth & Simone Singh as Shourya & Sakshi Goenka in Ek Hasina thi. Both were dark & made the show so intriguing.

Arjun Bijlani as Deep & Alisha as Tara in IMMJ. Though the show got ruined later but its starting was Bang On. Both of these characters were dark till the end.

Shraddha Arya's as Ayesha Sareen in Dream Girl. There are many more but these are few dark characters who were loved for their negative & dark roles & whole show revoled around them only.

Phle fandom Arohi-Deep ko ship krta tha. Jb Arohi ka character kisi aur actor ne replace kr diya to saare Deep-Tara ko ship krne lg gye. Itni khichdi thi ki samaj me bi na aye asani se.
