What happened when you root for a different character?

What happens when the actor u like is not playing your favourite character? Anybody here facing this issue ?

Example, 1) You love ksg, but u r rooting for Anu-Pre onscreen.

Or

2) You love Parth with Eri onscreen, but you are rooting for Bajaj/ksg?

I am the second example. Let me know if there is anyone else who fits here :)

Happens all the time with me. But I watch shows for interesting characters, so, my favorites change according to characterization. Actors are secondary for me.

I love PaRica but unable to root for AnuPre :(

I havent watched KSG before but I'm rooting for Bajaj cause I love grey people. But abhi bhi, I'm not into Bajaj Prerna shipping. I'll have to wait for that.

This is exactly what's happening with me slowly. I had never supported ksg when he was about to enter the show. But now I am warming upto him

I like ksg as an actor since qubool hai times...he is very intense but my hate for bajaj is bigger

I think you didn't understand. I am not asking which one you prefer? Both examples are the same. That of liking one character but supporting the rival actor.

I loved them initially. Now I just can't relate to them. CAN'T.

I wouldn’t say I love KSG, but I do like KSG as an actor the most and was looking forward to him. I so want to root for him, but Bajaj is just too nasty and disgusting for me to do so. I wish he was playing a different character I could root for. So even though I like KSG a lot, I am rooting for Anupre or whoever is the innocent and right for me is. Even if I love an actor, if the character that actor plays is bad, I can’t root for them. I couldn’t root for Nandini in Silsila for the same reason even though I love dd. I don’t know how most fans do it. I am character fan first I guess. I get connected to character first.
