Anurag did a mistake...a very stupid one and I have been screaming from the rooftop that he needs to apologise to Pre. But is whitewashing the right word to use? When you repeatedly use that word it looks like you are accusing the makers of covering up a grave crime like murder for him. I read your post on how both S1 bajaj and s2 Anurag have been whitewashed. There can be no comparisons between the two characters. Whatever Anurag did was an act of selflessness for his family and Prerna’s family. He is a pure soul . How can such a character be whitewashed even if the cvs want to? Him not apologising is more a lack of consistency in the writing. I wouldn’t call it whitewashing of Anurag Basu

Well said DG😊

When Prerna agreed to marry Naveen, she ended up hurting her parents, stupid decision but that doesn’t mean her intentions to protect her family were wrong.

Here Anurag made a stupid mistake to protect his and Prerna’s family and ended up hurting the women he loved but his intentions were so that Prerna would move on in her life.

And if people think Prerna’s forgiving nature makes her a weak character then they have not really understood her well. To me this is her biggest strength. Why focus on the mistakes of the past when you can live in the moment, as she puts it.

The creative have not given time and thought to developing anurag and prerna after the komolika fiasco. Had a single episode been dedicated to anurag explaining in front of everyone how and why he did what he did and then apologised to prerna for how he treated her, there would be no complaints with anurag now and anu pre will be easier to connect to.

But that doesn't take away from Anurag's reasoning for what he did, his sacrifice or his pain.

Exactly they could have given us at least a 5 min scene for that. I see it more as lazy writing rather than purposefully whitewashing the character

Ha ha ha....So funny😃These two traits are not mutually exclusive. Somebody who according to you is brainless can also be a pure soul

If you call making sacrifices at the drop of the hat without having the courage to stand up and fight pure , then that’s your issue. That’s basic escapism .

The way everyone forgot the komo drama as if it never happened was the biggest blunder by the cvs..they continue to do it by hiding prernas pregnancy..they had 1 epi dedicated to it on holi and now its not there..can it get stupider? Anurag may be a pure soul but not owing up to your mistakes , or does he think it wasnt a mistake at all is mindboggling ! This is the reason i think that their love is fragile and paper thin without any depth . Those who just blame the destiny or wait for things to change and not put any effort in changing it are lazy and will mostly gey kicked around.

There is big talk of destiny kasauti durga ma blessings soul connect blah blah but no action from the leads !

Prerna did the same during Naveen track, sacrificed at the drop of hat without fighting back, that she doesn’t mean she is not a pure soul anymore.

Its not about being called a pure soul. It more about being naive and an escapist which both Prerna and Anurag have in common, this season
