Hey guys, thanks for the comments. I'm having a lazy weekend so heres part2. The beginning is kind of crap cos I have no interest in the random business stuff they put in these shows, but it's a necessary plot device to get the characters to do what I want (they don't like listening to me 😉 )

Chapter 2

Parvati decided Shruti needed to be kept busy so she told her to take a more active part in the family business, at first Shruti was unsure but found it was actually fun and that she enjoyed working. She was working on a major project when mama told her she would have to work on a project with people from the Bajaj Group of companies.

"Why me mama? I was already in the middle of something" Shruti complained. Parvati said "It has to be someone from the family and you're the only one who has enough time and knowledge to do it. Krishna is still in Hong Kong so it has to be you"

Shruti was annoyed; she didn't see why she had to give up her project for some merger deal she had no interest in.

Prerna walked into Prem's room and announced, "I've decided you're going take charge of a project and earn your money instead of sitting here and wasting your time" UD put down his magazine and said "Whatever Mother India. I'll go to the office, just don't expect too much since there's nothing in it for me" Prerna said "No, we're working on a major deal with the Agarwal group and you're in charge of it" Prem looked horrified "And if the deal doesn't go through, forget all about your property" Prerna added with a smile, pleased to get the better of her son this time.

Shruti stomped into the coffee shop, her mood still bad from the earlier conversation with her mother. She bought her coffee, turned round and smacked straight into someone. She spilt her coffee all over her top and landed on the floor with a bump, bruising her backside.

She looked up at the guy. He was wearing baggy jeans and a black hoody with some sort of silver necklace round his neck. He was smiling at her; irritated she got up and started yelling at him "What the hell are you doing? Dehke nahin chal sakte? You made me spill my drink.."

UD smiled at the girl in front of him, he recognised her as the girl from the car park, she was cute, ghussa was definitely good for her. Too bad she had such an attitude. He hated that in a girl, too much work to deal with. She finally paused in her monologue so he held out his hand.

This guy disturbed Shruti, here she was yelling at him and he was grinning like a clown. What was his problem? She started to ask when his grin got bigger and he held out his hand "UD" he said. What kind of name was that she wondered, "Let me guess U D Man?" she asked annoyed. He laughed "Well, if you want me to be, honey" He winked.

Shruti got even angrier. "That's the lamest line I've ever heard. Does it work on anyone?" He laughed again "Not as much as I'd like Princess, how bout I buy you a cup of coffee and you can teach me some better ones?" Shruti couldn't believe this guy was trying to chat her up with such third class lines. She was angry enough to hit someone now, it would probably be for the best if she left before she did some damage. She stormed past him with a well-placed elbow to the gut as she exited.

UD looked around the shop, the place was silent and everyone was now just staring at him, he hadn't even noticed. He casually sauntered up to the counter and ordered his coffee, looking like just another observer in the scene that had taken place. He smiled as he thought of the girl; she had a temper that one. He could vouch for that, he thought rubbing his stomach absently. It was almost fun he thought, but he was better off away from such a high maintenance girl, she would only get in the way……
