******Chapter 11******
Prem cleared his throat.
Prem:No it's okay carry on. Kasak tum hai nai pata ye loke kitni zaroori batein karai hein??
The sarcasm was clearly audible in his tone and he felt satisfied at getting his point across.
Prem(thinking): shaad aub ye doe no chalai jayein gai!
He was instantly joyed over by the fact that they would FINALLY leave.
Sneha: Sorry Prem laikin tum jantai toe ho yai Mukti kitna bolti hai! We'll whisper now!
Prem(thinking):WHAT! They'll "whisper" why not just get the heck out??!!!Mother India ko choru ga nai ma, wo hee inko chor ke gai tih na??!!!
Prerna: Oos ki koi zarrorat nai hai Sneha,kyon kai hum abhi ghar jarai hein.
Prerna walked swiftly in through the door. With a satisfied smile on her face.
Sneha and Kasak at the same time: Laikin Mama hum yahan hee rai gaih Mukti ore Prem kai saat!!!
Prerna: Ma nai abhi doctor Mehra sai baat ki hai, oon ka ka na hai kai ye do noe bil kul teehk ho jai yein gai. Agar yai aup nai bed mai rai.
She looked at Prem when she said this.
Prerna: Ore wa sia bhi hum kone sa humaisha kai liyai in koe chor ke ja rai hein. Phir a ja yein gaih na mil nai kai liya.
Sneha: haan laikin...
Kasak: Sneha mama sai ka rai hein dekho na peech lai dou(2) gantone sai Prem ulti magazine par ra hai.
Prem fumbled with the maazine while cursng himself silently for being an idiot.
Prem(thinking):YE Kasak ko toe ma daikh hee loon gah, what does she have against me??!
Sneha and Kasak burst into laughter seeing Prem get so ambarassed. And each took turns hugging Mukti and Prem then left through the door.
Sneha Aup na khayal rakhna Mukti.
Kasak: aup bhi Prem bhaiya!
Prena went upto Mukti first and reached out and pushed a loose strand of hair away from her face.
Prerna: Mukti aup na khayal rakhna ore khana bhi teehksaid khana.......
Prerna, overwhelmed with emotion hugged Mukti instead.
Mukti(thinking): Laikin muj hai kya ho ya hai???
Prerna took once last look at her and went over to Prems bed where, she noticed, he was pretending not to pay attention to her and Mukti.
Prem: You dont need to worry i'll be fine Mother-India.
Prerna: Mai paraishan hoon bhi nai. Ma jaanti hoon kai mai ra baita kitna barah ho gaya hai, aup na khayal khud he rak saktai ho tum, laikin rakho gai bil kul nai, yai bhi achi taran sai jaanti hoon ma. I dont want you to get out of your bed, understood??
Prem finally looked up at her and was surprised to see that although her voice was strict her eyes were teary and sad.
Prem: teehk hai.
Prerna made to hug him but stopped herself in time, realizing that he was was hurt and bandaged too thouroughly. Prerna touched his cheek gingerly and smiled.
Prerna: Ma chalti hoon.
She was at the door when Prem spoke.
Prem: Mother India, aup please darwaza band kar kai ja yein, kya hai kai isse waqt bohte shore hota hai or ma sona chata hoon.
Mukti felt her throat tighten.
Prerna smile and closed the door behind her.
Prem smiled satisfyingly, and let a deep sigh escape him.
The room was now deathly quiet, except for Prems heart monitor and Mukti's heart beat , which too her seemed like it would beat out of her chest.
Prem cleared his throat uncomfrotably, trying not to look at Mukti, while Mukti focussed all her attention on the hospital window, which let in the slightest ray of street light.
Prem(thinking): Oh great now what???Oone sab ko baij to diyah tah laikin aub ye Basanti se kahoon bhi toe kya kahoon???!!
Mukti(thinking):Mukti tu peraishan mat ho....just close your eyes and try to go to sleep....or ye bar bar Prem khansi kyon ja ra hai!!!!
Prem was now even more frustrated with the increasing discomfort he was feeling with being in the room , alone, with Mukti when.......
