******Chapter 10******


Kasak: Mukti aup ne balone ko daikho kya haal bana rakah hai tum nai aup na!

Prerna had left to speak to Prems doctor, leaving Sneha and Kasak with Prem and Mukti, about his new stitches and increasingly bad health.

Sneha: haan daikho na kya halat rakhi hoi hai aup nai balone ki!ik mint mairai purse mai comb hoi gih...

Prem thought Mukti looked beautiful, her hair looked so silky and so shiny that he ws tempterd to touch it. He found himself appreciating Mukti's heavenly beauty, but he did'nt dare admit it because he felt that it was'nt his to awe over. So he contemplated by sneaking glances at her from the corner of his magazine, he hoped she could'nt see him but he guessed she was to busy talking to Sneha and Kasak, who had all together forgotten about their brother.

Mukti: Ouch!!!!Sneha itni keench kai kyun ball brush kar rai ho?! Dookh ta hai.

Sneha: Sorry! And what do you mean "dookh ta hai" or kya nai dookhai gah??When the last time you brushed your hair??

Mukti:Tum se matlaab??Paper mai chaap na hai kya?

Sneha: Aik toe acha kam karo ooper se...

Kasak: Thats enough you two!Ktina jahgar tai ho!Kabhi toe bas kar diya karo.

Prem was still sitting up in his bed opposite them, reading his magazine of....."food for life"??Now he was annoyed. He was happy that his sisters were here and that they cared so much for him and Mukti both but at this time all he wanted was to be alone with his thoughts...and Mukti. He had been unsuccesfully trying to distract himself with everything he had at his disposal..which was'nt much.

For the past two hours 10 mins and...43 secionds,after his dad and Sam had left with Mohini dadi and taken that Shravan with them, Prem had been patiently and quietly waiting for his sisters to leave. He had hoped that MotherIndia would take them with her but she went off somewhere with Dr.Mehra. For atleast the first hour he put to work on getting some sleep in, he felt like he had'nt slept for days; but he guessed that was the pain talking.However sleep seemed undeamable with Mukti so close to him and her voice drowsing to his ears whenever sleep tried to overcome him.

Then Prem, giving up on the sleep resolution, contented to the magazine that Shravan had left near his bed. It was, he read to his disgust, "Food for life"!!!Had that loser Shravan actually been reading this crap????He doubted any guy he new would read a book for women who wanted to learn to cook. But finding himself desperate to avert his qeen interest and attention on Mukti to something else......anything else he browsed through the magazine lazily. And now an hour later he was still "browsing" through that same magazine and he felt like he had read every word, no every letter inscribed on it!He finshed reading it 5 times and each time it seemed to have gotten worse then the first, it felt to him that Sneha and Kasak were REALLY pushing it now!

Prem(thinking): Agar yai doe noe abhi nai gai to mai khude hee ooth kai chalajahoon gah! Ore yai Basanti....!...I thought i told her i NEEDED to talk to her.....is she doing this cause she does'nt wanna talk to me??Is that Basanti avoiding??

He could hear her now talking with Sneha and Kasak, they were'nt exactly whispering, and he found that this Mukti was different from the Mukti that greeted him. This Mukti was the real Mukti, the one he knew as "Basanti". She smiled and joked and fought and argued and did all those things which he thought she had forgotten how to. He realised then that she had'nt really changed. She was still MuktiBasanti for everyone else but for him she chose to be a stranger. He felt hurt at the prospect of her being so indifferent to his feelings. What were his feelings anyways??Were they feelings of concern?Of love?Of friendship or of guilt?And were they for her or were they his own feelings of regret and penance?

Prem glanced at Mukti from the corner of his retched magazine, which was brought up close to his face...but not to close after all he did'nt wanna look like an idiot, least of all infront of Basanti. Sneha had finished brushing her hair and was now enthusiasticly exclaiming how good it looked.

Sneha: aub lagh rai ho na Mukti?You should be happy i was lucky enough to have a comb.

Mukti:Haan agarh tum na aati toe ma nai toe zindagi barh aup nai baal hee nai brush kar nai taih.....

Sneha:You know i dont appreciate your sarcasm...laikin it's okay maa jaan tie hoon tumara kya matlaab hai, but it's okay you dont have to thank me.

Mukti: Thank you for what pulling a considrable amount of my hair out??

Sneha: You know mujh hai samajh mai nai atah kai ma tumhara kya..

Kasak: oho! Tum doe noe chupe bhi hoe gai!Agarh aup ko chan sakoon nehi passand toe Prem koe toe so nai doe!

Prem almost choked, and quickly brought his attention back to the magazine and away from Mukti.



Okay!Im sorry i did'nt update sooner but im like REALLy preoccupied with some stuff right now so i hope you guys undrstand!I know i stopped chapter 10 at the wrong place but i'll update sooner this time!I hope you guys like my update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😳 Also im REALLY sorry this one's short but i plan on writting soon!😳
