The passionate viewers of Kasautii Zindagii Kay should be prepared for the unexpected on the show. The ever venomous Apo*na (played by Gitanjali Tikekar) is slated to make a comeback in the coming episodes of the show.

The Bajaj and Basu family have not forgotten her malicious and wicked ways. Her scheming mind tormented everyone. Her past always precedes her as the Bajaj and Basu families are wary of her designs.

For the uninitiated, just a quick recap of the show. Aparna, a simple girl from Kolkata, marries Anurag (his third wife in the serial) and gives him emotional support when Prerna leaves him. But later, as the plot thickens, it turns out that she is already married to Yash Tonk and has married Anurag only for his money.

The final act of betrayal is when she attempts to bump off Anurag on a Karva Chauth night. Later, after a leap she does a disappearing act and tries to manipulate Prem by double crossing Komalika to harm Prerna and Anurag. Now, she is back in the show and no one knows what she has on her mind this time around. Mr. Bajaj and Prerna forgive her, decide to give her a chance but only on one condition that she will never cross paths with them again in the future..

And how was her time-off period? "Well, it was work all through. I was busy with Karam all that while and now with Kasauti again opening my track it means all the more work. I cannot think of new projects at the moment."

With Aparna making a comeback, the drama in the show will certainly create fresh ripples. Is the audience listening to the good news?

Very soon her fans will see her in a new avatar. The petite and chirpy Tina Parakh, better known as, Mutki of Kasauti Zindagi Kay, will now anchor a new bollywood based countdown show, Idea Ek Se Badhkar Ek, on Star One, along with her on screen lover, Manoj Bohra, aka Prem of Kasauti.
As the show takes off tomorrow, we caught up with this bubbly Marwadi babe, who also features in, Kahani Ghar Ghar ki. On a rather excited note she says, "I am really looking forward to my first innings as an anchor with this show. Hosting a show is completely different from doing a serial. One has to be very spontaneous and on the dot as an anchor."

She further says, "Being a bollywood show, there's a non stop chatter banter in between the shots to sustain viewer interest. So, for me right now its lots of rehearsals and research. The best part is that for once, I get to be myself on screen and do my own thing. Since, both Manoj and I are both very headstrong individuals, we always fight in our personal lives, and the same has been carried forward to the show as well"

The hour long show will have a filmy based theme like the Top 10 Action Heroes and Top 10 Love Triangles. The anchor couple will give lots of interesting and funny information about the behind the scenes happenings in Bollywood.
Tina is one of the few lucky Balaji actors to have a good track in Kasauti and Kahaani. "Currently, I have parallel leads in both. Though, I had taken a break from the latter for some time, but now Shruti is back with a bang after the Parvati bhabhi makeover."
As for Kasauti, Tina refused to label her current character of Devaki as negative. Her earlier character of Mukti was bumped off to create more drama in in the serial.
Talking about her new track in Kasauti, Tina says, "I wouldn't say that Devaki is a negative character.She has had a bad past and her way of facing issues in life, may not be the correct way. But then, the poor thing has no other alternative. Also, remember that Devaki has not harmed anybody, so I would call her a grey character instead of black. "

A few months ago there were rumours of the show being taken off air, but looks like the new starcast has added a breath of fresh air to Kesar. Along with celebrating a special event on the 27th of this month, the Balaji show is also in for a major shift in the track and narrative.

The occasion in the script is Shweta Chaudhary aka Muskaan's birthday. (Kesar's daughter who doesn't know about the whereabouts of her mother who had left her fifteen years before) and to celebrate it a bash is organized.

The creative head of Kesar, Bharvisha says, "the bash is seen apt by the protagonist (Kesar) to reveal that she's the real mother of Muskaan. The plot would now highlight Muskaans life post the revealation phase. Also, in the coming episodes viewers will get to see a wedding sequence and the story will revolve around the young generation."

To spruce up the episode, the creative team has also added scintillating performances by telly stalwarts like Ronit Roy, Urvashi Dholakia and Gurpreet who would groove to numbers like Chali Chali…Baghbaan, Gori Gori...Mein Hoon Na among other hit numbers. Comments Ronit,"It was a wonderful experience shooting the dance sequence for Kesar. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the show."

The lead protagonist of the show, Prachi Shah aka Kesar is very excited about the whole event. "I have always enjoyed every bit of my association with the show and this episode would be of great interest to the viewers. Also, the important revelation that would happen in the coming episodes will add to the drama" says the actor.

The show has seen major changes in the past when Nandini Singh who played Kesar in the show was replaced by Prachi Shah. The channel and the production house are trying their best to woo more viewers. The special episode on the 27th being a part of the same strategy.
