Yes it is like that, and there is a BIG reason for that.
when Sam doubted Anurag it was insecurity :
both prerna and sam know that anurag doesnt love sam. He loves ONLY prerna. and not 'as a friend', but as a lover. And anurag too says this openly that he has only loved one woman all his life- prerna.
So, Prerna thinks sam's behaviour is justified. because prerna knows that anurag doesnt love sam.
Bajaj doubted Prerna its a sin
Prerna thinks rishu is committing a sin because he is doubting her even though she has 'beinteha pyar' for rishabh in her heart. Prerna believes that she loves him, and that he loves her and so there should not be insecurities due to friendships with ex-bfs and ex-gfs.
Sam-anu marriage happened when prerna pressurized anu. She wanted him to have a companion in his sunset years- not sam in particular but somebody... ANYBODY..who can live with him. If not sam, she would have found sm other 'wife' for anu.
But prerna-rishabh marriage happened because they were both pining for each other. and really wanted to marry each other.
A marriage based on compromise can have insecurities. It is natural.
But a marriage based on love cannot have insecurities. It is sin.
