No, he won't take Mukti's side any time soon. He might take Prerna/Mother India's side soon, especially if Sharad ditches him or he has a deal with Mother India for returning the evidence... but not Mukti's. I think he will realize very slowly Mukti's worth, when it'll be too late.

Know what I hate? How Sharad's all predictions are coming true. Now I am afraid that, like SHarad predicted, Mukti will be afraid of all men and she will run from relationships. I was hoping she'd move on from Prem and find a life for herself.

Don't you love it psawyer when Prem/UD screams "Don't touch me!" I mean really you wouldn't expect a guy, especially one like him to acts to be so nonchalant and so in control, to say something like that. Beneath all those layers of UD does lie somewhere a little boy just yearning for love. It's also interesting that with Prerna/Mother India, he screams "Don't touch me!" but not with the authority and the anger that he screams with at Mukti. I mean, I've never seen him so angry and so vulnerable at the same time than on valentine's night... with Mukti. I think he really hates that he showed emotions, plus he really wanted her to understand this was not going to continue and there was not going to be any love between them. Which is why the 'morning-after' he puts on such an impenetrable mask on his face, barely talking to Mukti, and he blows her off later on.

i agree, i loved the scene when prerna was apologising after finding out about aparna and he was like "don't touch me" and he even told anu to tell her to get away from him. his vulnerability is shown in those scenes..the rest of the time he wears a mask that is impenetrable.
