Part 6

Inside the ward Bani rushed up to the beds where Ganga and Krishna were lying, both prepped for the transplant procedure. Krishna lay happy on the bed, unaware of the gift she was going to give to her big sister. Ganga lay pale on the bed, tired and sleepy. She had to go through a conditioning treatment of chemotherapy necessary to kill the disease cells. Only once the test came back positive could they proceed with the transplant.

Tears fell from Bani's eyes as she hugged Ganga. She could help but whisper over and over again, "Baby you are going to be alright. I am right here with you." Ganga flickered her eyes and looked at the strange face holding here. She turned and focused on Jai, Ganga stretched her hand out, "Papa!" Jai quickly stepped up and held the trembling hand in his. "Hi baby. You will be alright. I brought a special nurse to take care of you for a while you are in hospital. You can call her Aunty Sharma. Now give me a smile."

Ganga tried to smile but instead tears crept out the corner of her eyes and cried out. "I want my mama!" Bani quickly picked up Ganga in her arms and in a soothing voice, "hush baby I am here. Please don't cry. I know what a brave girl you can be, won't you be a brave girl for your mama and papa?"

Still sobbing Ganga nodded her head. She liked being held by the nurse, she felt warm and fuzzy just like her mama, she snuggled in further. "Will you hold me for a while? I just want to sleep with you for a while. Is that ok papa?"

Jai nodded his head and squeezed Bani's hand. "I will wait outside till the doctor come."

Bani whispered quietly, "Could just give me Krishna too, I want to hold her too."

Jai picked up Krishna and put her in Bani's arms and watched for a few seconds as Bani sang in a whisper to her tiny daughter whom she missed so much in the last few months. Today she felt happy in a longest time. She didn't care Meera was sitting outside, for now she was going to live this short term happiness.

Part 7

Meera was getting increasingly uncomfortable with the closeness that she could see between Jai and the Nurse. But was helpless, Jai was not prepared to leave his daughters for a second and the Nurse was always there. The only time Jai or the Nurse were away, Massi and Nattu took over. Even after all she did she couldn't get close to Jai. She was sure with Bani out of the way and her taking care of his brats he would come to her.

Well, now that Ganga was fine and being discharged, her three months of torture were over. She would make sure once home she takes over from Nurse Sharma thus taking away their excuse of being together.

In the meantime Jai and Bani were catching up with Atharva, happy to note that he was now crawling on his own and like Krishna he could now stand with support.

How they missed watching these changes in their babies...but Ganga had needed them more. Clinging to Bani or Neeta Aunty ( as she now called her) Ganga was beginning to feel that papa was right, mama was indeed around.

" Bani, tomorrow we will be able to take Ganga home, and I am sure Meera will try her best to make sure you donot come along...should we talk to the doctor to keep Ganga in the hospital a little longer." Jai said softly , trying not to distrub Atharva, who was finally sleeping. He had been too excited to get the undivided attention of his parents after so long.

" No, I think you take her home, I will visit her every day...but I want to get this over soon. I want to be with you and the children without any fear." replied Bani.

And thus began the complicated and risky " Mission Get Meera".

Back to present.

" Sweetheart, I am here" said Jai happily, and a bit loudly so that Meera could hear him from her hiding place behind the hedge.

"Game over Jai, I have seen your love nest....now you will see what I do to you for two timing me" thought Meera as she walked away.

Jai and Bani watched her leave, knowing that there was no turning back and this was their only chance to catch her.

" Did Nattu install the camera's etc as I asked him" enquired Jai turning back from the window.

" Yes , Bhaiya I have, infact as planned we have set up the monitoring room in the basement. Pushkar has spoken to the phone company and we have access to all the calls that Meera makes or receives. The special security team you employed in the US is also here." replied Nattu.

Seeing Bani worried, he added " Why don't you take Bhabhi to the park while I do a final check, Pushkar should also be back by then. and don't worry bhabhi I will not let Junior out of my sight."

Nodding, Jai took Bani out for a walk to try and get her to relax. And he knew just the trick for it.

" Now Mrs. Walia how about continuting our interesting conversation" started Jai

" What conversation?" asked Bani not catching on.

" The one where we agreed we needed more romance...something along the lines of clandestine meetings...." Bani looked shocked at the gleam in his eyes, finally she caught on.

Great part guys..So the "mission get Meera" is already on a roll..Its getting interesting..Looks like Meera has fallen to their trap...Looking forward to their next step of action..
