This time Daksh resorted to harsher methods, cigarette burns in certain places not visible normally, Bani cried to Rano over phone one afternoon when no one was watching…
Nishikant and Taoji came and took Bani away…enough is enough, if Daksh is not undergoing treatment Bani will not be back….

Bani was relieved to go back home, while she rested, her mother and other ladies of the house were shocked to see the marks left by Daksh…how can a man who is otherwise most polite and respectful be so inhuman….while the family encouraged Bani to be her former self, Bani was having great difficulty to laugh and play around with the children of the family, she was under constant fear…
Daksh called up from time to time, while she spoke to him, Rano held her hand, her mother stood nearby, Daksh claimed that he had gone to see a psychologist and would like to have her back in the house as fast as possible….after a few days it was detected Bani was pregnant…

As Raghubir kept down the phone, and looked upset, the family knew what has happened….toh Jai Walia ka shaadi abhi tak theek nehi huwa, asked Nishikant while the ladies were now looking visibly upset…

Bani had learnt in the meanwhile that Jai Walia's first wife had died…lekin what scandal, Rano said that Ranveer told her that one of her male acquaintances was with her in the car when it had crashed, the newspapers wanted to make out a story regarding it but then Jai Walia had to make a lot of effort to stop it but some reports did come out…
What is wrong in that? Bani had asked….

Oh di do not look like that, in a city like Mumbai it is quite common, it is quite normal to return at that time, why that time sometime people return early morning even, Ranveer does it too…infact he told me that even if you walk into a party at 1 o'clock in the night it is quite normal and acceptable there….

Jai finished his breakfast and waited for the other members to complete theirs…the atmosphere in the table was a bit tensed and he knew the reason, yesterday evening Raghubir Dixit had called up to know if they had decided on the date as yet as to make preparations they need sometime, as usual Aditya told him, Jai is yet to make up his mind…Raghubir was too polite to say anything else only to conclude, aap mind maath kijiye Aditya sahab, keya karu ladkiwali hu…chinta laga rehta and disconnected the phone…
After Aditya was through with his breakfast, Jai signaled him and got up to leave for office when he heard masi's voice…
Beta Aditya, kal raat ko maine bahut socha, Raghubirji ko aaj phone karke ek date finalize karlo, kiyuki hum bhi ladki wale hai, jab Anu ki shaadi hogi, koi aisa karega toh humme bhi bura lagega, tumlog date finalise karlo…
Lekin Masi itna bhi keya jaldi hai, Jigyasa intervened…
Jaldi hai Jigyasa aur Masi theek keh rahi hai, Jai joined in, after all Ranveer and Rano do not want to wait so why delay unnecessarily….
Aur ha Aditya, Masi ignored Jai's comment, aaj office pahuchtehi mere liye ek Haridwar ka ticket kharid dena, mujhe jald se jald udhar jana hai…
Lekin Masi udhar aapko suite nehi hota hai, aapko thaand lag jati hai…
Beta udhar hi rehna hai mujhse toh adaat toh dalna hi parega, maine yeh maan liye hai ki zindagi me saab sapne pura nehi hota hai, maine udaybhaisahab ko bachan diya tha ki unke Jaiko ma ki kami nehi hone dungi, lekin Jai ka zindagi …khair abh tu bara ho gaya hai, apne marji ka malik hai….Aditya mere ticket aaj mile toh aaj hi ka le lena…
Masi aap Ranveer ki shaadi tak rukh jate…Aditya said…
Nehi beta, Ranveer ki shaadi tumhara aur Jigyasa ka responsibility hai, mera nehi, jo mera tha, usme me fail ho chuki hu…
Jai comes forward, Masi aap bekar me apne aap ko doshi tehera rahe hai, meera aisi thi aapko toh nehi maloom tha na…
Meera ki baath kaun kar raha hai, woh to mar chuki hai, past is past, mai abh ki baath kar rahi hu…Masi got up and left the table…
Jai and Aditya exchanged glances before walking towards the main door…

Jai had passed out in his study when masi woke him up sometime towards early morning….Meera's car had met with an accident….the Police had called up to report and is looking for him…
He was reluctant to get up….Keya ho giya beta to itna daru kab se pine laga hai…..Masi wondered seeing Jai not much reacting to the news…
Jai got up, Masi woke up Ranveer to accompany Jai to the hospital…
Meera was dead and so was the man with her, Jai did not know him but the police did, he was supposed to be a well known gigolo of that area, picked up by police quite a few times…
What was your wife doing with a man like that, the police asked….
How do I know officer, no idea maybe giving him a lift, Jai was dying out of shame inside…
The officer gave him a funny look, doesn't seem like it, he replied as road the car met with accident doesn't lead to your house nor this man's, they were on their way to khandala that too middle of the night, what kind of relationship you had with your wife Mr Walia…
A normal relationship, like any other couple we had our fights and love…

Just then Lalita Bua entered, crying hoarsely she informed that police that Jai was of suspicious nature, always accusing her daughter of having an affair, infact before she left the house, Jai & she was having a fight over this, she had asked Jai to accompany, who refused but accused her of infidelity nevertheless…Meera had left the house in a huff to teach Jai a lesson, that is what she had said over the phone while driving out of the house, meri beti ne mujhe rote rote yeh baath kahi hai, aaj agar maine aapna beti khoyi hu is admi ke liye…please arrest him officer…
Ranveer seeing things were going out of hand had quietly sent for their family lawyer….Jai who never had any scandals in the past was sitting with his head bowed, thinking that for the first time in my life will I be paying for a deed which was not committed by me…thankfully, his lawyer was competent enough and Jai's otherwise clean image came to his rescue, the inspector while allowing him to go home said, Mr Walia normally such deaths often lead to arresting of husbands, this is India and here things favour the girl's family for obvious reasons you understand, so in case you are innocent, you better start collecting evidence for the same because if your mother in-law decides to take the case ahead, you will have a tough time…and secondly please do not leave the city now….

When he entered the house, Jai broke down for the 1st time in his adult time standing in front of Masi as he could clearly see that Masi had the same questions as the people outside, what is wrong with him, some news channels were already showing what happens to spouses married to people with such suspicious bent of mind…
He took Masi to the study, closed the door and handed over the packet, just see the dates…masi was shattered, she could not accept Jai was a wife beater or a man with a inferiority complex but Meera the girl she knew from childhood, the girl whom she always wanted to have Jai married to could turn out to be such a girl, masi could not accept…keya kami hai mere Jai me, she got up and took Jai's face between her palms….beta itna der tak mai tujhe kus rahi thi, soch rahi thi, tu ne aisa kiyu kiya lekin abh mujhe koi rokh nehi sakega, yeh saab tasbeer me puri duniya ko dikhayungi, agar tune usse accuse kiya toh theek hi kiya….
Masi started to walk out of the room, Jai caught her hand, masi tabh bhi nuksan mera hi hai…
Mai kuch samjha nehi beta
Isiliye agar mai duniya ko yeh bata deta tabh duniya meri mardangi ke upar sawal puchhegi,…
Mardangi, tu mard hai isiliye na yeh sab sahen nehi kiya, na marad hota toh…
Masi aap samajne ki koshish kijiye…
Keya samjhu beta, isme samaj ne ki keya hai, saboot saaf hai, aur keya chahiye…
Masi aap sochiye log keya kehenge ki mai apna biwi ko khush nehi kar sakta tha isiliye woh dosre mard ke pass jati rahi…by the time I prove my abilities and maybe after undergoing several medical examinations etc etc., the newspapers and the news channels would already have made a mincemeat of my image….
Masi sat down, she did not think of this angle, she only knew that this is the ultimate humiliation any human can face….
Masi Lalita Bua is already after my hide, sab kuch jante huwe bhi woh mujhe doshi tahara rahe hai….

Meera ne kaha ma ne nehi rokh saki toh tum keya rokoge…shayad woh apne haato se Meera ko kai bar pakar chuki hai, khair jane dijiye woh bhi toh beti khoyi hai…anyway since she is accusing me already, I will not like to go into anymore mud flinging, if she accuses I will defend aur utnahi jitna kam se kam reveal ho, after all she died as my wife…mera parivaar ka hi toh naam kharab hoga…
Masi listened to Jai in silence, she felt cheated, Meera was a relative from her side of the family, Lalita ne itna bara dhoka diya, she got up, picked up the packet from the table, Jai Lalita ko tu mujh par chhor de...tu tera duty kar, tune apne biwi khoyi hai uska kiya karam pe dhyan de….
Jai did not know what Masi told Lalita Bua who definitely back tracked, Jai had concentrated on Meera's last rites, followed by other rituals…he played the role of a perfect dutiful husband, accepting condolences, standing with his head bowed…
Jai Jai, kaha khoyi huyi ho tum, Aditya called out as the car approached their office,
Keya baath hai Aditya…
Jai, Masi wants to leave with no wish of returning, kuch toh karo Jai…
Keya karu Aditya, you know about my thoughts about marriage, not again Aditya…
Why not Jai, see I am married to your sister, we do not have a perfect relationship, it could have been better but still we are stuck to each other as there are some good side to it too, specially our children and our family, I cannot imagine to live in a house without you, Jai, you are almost like my son but then we share a relationship which I do not share with my sons even. Your marriage to Meera was a fiasco but then it ended quickly, think what would have happened if you would have still stuck on together with Meera refusing to give you a divorce..
I donot have any girl to whom I want to get married to…
Aditya gave a half smile, what about Liza, he asked….
Jai darted a glance towards him and looked away, Jai knew even he tried his best to hide his affairs from his family now, Aditya always got to know about them…
Liza is not marrying type…Jai replied…
Aditya sighed, he knew Jai who had remained away from girls till recently now got into affairs just to satisfy his physical need, he no longer brought his girl friends home like he used to do before he got married…Jai still is wry about emotional relationship but Aditya is with Masi, Jai needs to be pushed, otherwise he might never take the step…
Maybe you are right, since you do not have any girls in mind, can I ask Masi to look for one in that case…
Jai kept silent still engrossed in his thoughts, Aditya knew he had heard him nevertheless…he waited for Jai's answer…the office had arrived, the driver was waiting for them to disembark ….
Jai, Aditya called out again…
Only to someone Aditya, who will understand my pain….
Aditya smiled, yes obviously Jai, I will inform Masi right away that she cannot leave for Haridwar, she has a duty to fulfill…he opened the door and got out of the car…
Jai followed him with his head bowed and lost in his thoughts…
