Part 1
"ye zameen rukh jaye… asamaan jukh jaye…hmm mmm…tera chera jabh nazaar ayee"
humming her favorite song Bani starred out at the beautiful city from her balcony. She was especially caught in the beauty of the Eiffel tower that seemed to look more beautiful at night then the day. Every night, since she moved to Paris 2 months ago, she stood outside on her balcony admiring the view. But every time she found the city to look even more beautiful under the full moon.
Waiting for her husband to come home from his business had become a routine. They had been married for only 1 month when he had broke the news to her that they would have to move to Paris to rescue a branch of his business that was located there.
Bani never minded waiting for him. She trusted him and loved him with all her heart, after all that's why she married him. Bani bent over resting her head on her arm that was rested on the railing of the balcony. She had on her long, silk cream nightgown that complemented her figure beautifully. Her hair was put up messily with a pencil while few strands upfront found way to shape her face naturally. She was always known for her beauty. Through out her collage years many proposals had come her way but her husband was the only one whom she met and knew right away was the one for her.
"kabhi to nazaar milao…kabhi to kareeb aao…God how I love Anand Sami's voice…Where in the world is he..he's never been this late?"
Bani turned around to catch sight of the digital clock rested by her bed. One minute till 2.
"He's never been this late" thought Bani again as she turned with a confuse face to stare at the city again.
Five more minutes went by and Bani gave out a yawn. Tired as she was, she couldn't go to sleep without seeing him…
Flashback
Bani was sitting on a bed surrounded by a beautifully decorated room. Though it was nothing compared to how Bani looked that day. Her veil covered her face waiting anxiously for him to come. But as always he was late. Even on the wedding night he rushed to work due to a call that informed him of loosing a contract if he didn't come in to sign papers immediately. Bani fiddled with her fingers while waiting…
" 'I won't be that long..' that's all he said… now what am I to do here waiting…" thought Bani irritably. She got up from the bed and with much hard work with her heavy dress made her way towards the window…
" Fine if he wants to be stubborn.. .then so will I. This is my promise to the stars…I will only sleep when I see his face" said Bani crossing her arms like a little child.
Back from flashback
"Abh mein kya karu… I can't even go to sleep.." pouted Bani….
But her attention was quickly caught by the sound of her bedroom door opening. She knew it was him, though she was irritated with him, she was glad that he was finally home. She could never remain angry with him too long. She crossed her arms and ignored him in curiosity. Footsteps grew closer towards her and eventually she felt herself engulfed in a warm built body. She loved that feeling; the feeling of being protected. His arms grew tighter around her waist as his heavy head found her shoulder to relax on.
" Aap agaye…Jai" Bani said quietly while swaying in his arms
" Nahin.. it's my ghost" whispered Jai.
Bani hit his arms innocently and both smiled.
" You seem tired. I've put your night cloths on the bed. Why don't you go get changed…" said Bani as she got out of Jai's hold and started walking towards the bed, but was stopped by a strong grip that held her arm. Bani turned around to finally catch a full view of Jai under the starry night. His thick black hair, though messy, was perfect to compliment his innocent face. His tie was half done and the top two buttons of his stripped white dress shirt were undone. His sleeves were rolled elbow high and the hand that had Bani's arm had the most expensive silver watch and a wedding ring to compliment the attire. All that hard work at the gym had really paid off. His tight body pleased Bani.
" sigh… he's perfect…" thought Bani… but was interrupted by Jai
" Bani?… Bani?… Bani?!... are you okay?!" …Bani nodded yes as she came out the trance. By that time Jai had come face to face to Bani and held her face gingerly within both his hands. His innocent eyes starred into hers " … you didn't even give me the chance to apologize for being late" whispered Jai.
" Did I ask?... I know you probably got caught up at work" smiled Bani while undoing his tie.
Jai gave a quiet laugh while looking to the side, but then found her eyes again and captured her in a tight hug "hmm… I don't think I could love you anymore…"
Bani shied away her eyes. Jai took the opportunity to take in the rest of her beauty. Jai's eyes grew intense not loosing his gaze. Bani finally got the courage from the silence and met Jai's eyes . He moved in to find her lips, but once again Bani shied away knowing what was coming.
Jai snickered.
"After so many months of being my wife.. your still shy" whispered Jai as he moved towards her neck all while taking the pencil out of her hair… Bani couldn't help but fall in and wrapped her hands around Jai. He understood and picked her up in her arms and walked her towards their bed and placed her softly on the bed. Jai couldn't help but continue to stare at her face that now met the light from the moon. Bani on the other hand couldn't open her eyes. It wasn't as if it was the first time. Though, the feeling of becoming one overwhelmed her in a good way. She loved him so much, trusted him so much… she loved feeling protected by him. Slowing the silhouette of two beings became one …
