Um.. this update well is the build up to the actual dinner. in a way.. anways here it is and oh. sorry sharan and sheena..the kids dont really make an appearance in this part bt wil definitely do in the nxt! oh and its not that long.. sorry!

Pushkar was sitting in the living room waiting for Bani to come downstairs so that they could make their way over to Jai Walia's.

'Right Pushkar..' he said to himself. 'You've got a mission to do.. Bnai hates kids so the first plan of action is to get the children to become friends with Bani. Once the children are friends then Jai Walia will become a friend automatically! Right Pushkar that's your plan of action, now no distractions, focus on your goal'

Bani stood in the doorway watching Pushkar talk to himself. 'Um.. Pushkar…' Bnai questioned…

'Yeah.. sorry..just thinking over something… Lets go'

And they both made their way to Jai's house. Pushkar looked over To Bani. She was wearing a simple pair of black jeans and a fitted black top. 'Bani.. you could have dressed up a bit more..' said Pushkar.

'Kyun? Muhe koi dulha dekhnay aa raha hai?' Bani questioned. She was still obviously upset over the whole dinner thing.

'And anyways' she continued. 'If Krishna and Arthva are there then there is no point of dressing up. I always seem to be their target when they get upto some mischief.'

Pushkar chuckled. That was true and she was not out to impress Jai, anyways, it was the children who she had to make friends with. 'It's just their way of showing that they love you'

Bnai gave him a look to show that she was not convinced. 'Chalo.. ghantee bajao..'

Pushkar ran the doorbell and heard the sound echoing through the house.

Jai was in the kitchen when he heard the doorbell ring. 'they're here' he thought. Should he open the door? He didn't want to seem to eager but if he stayed in the kitchen they might think he was not being a good host. While he was pondering over this, he heard the door open.

'Pushkar Uncle..' He heard Krishna scream.

'uh oh' thought Jai. Thw twins and Bani did not get on. He rushed out of the kitchen and greeted both Pushkar and Bani. He showed them to the living room and asked them to sit there while he got some drinks for them.

Massi was making her way downstairs and she saw Bani and Pushkar sitting in the living room. 'Ok' she thought. 'First step is to get Bani and Jai closer and then work on Bani and the children.

They were all sittingin the living room, Bani and Massi on one sofa, Jai and Pushkar on armchairs facing them. The kids kept coming and going out of the room. Massi was telling them stories about Jai when he was younger.This was to make Bani more comfortable towards Jai. Jai from the armchair, kept glaring at Massi, trying to tell her to stop. But Massi was on a role, she ignored all his gestures.

Meanwhile Pushkar was trying to get Jai to talk about the kids. He thought it would be good if Bani heard some cute funny stories about them. Maybe she might develop a soft corner. But Massi would not let him interrupt.

Massi was thinking, 'Yeh(Pushkar) toh aur kahan say aagaya.. ek toh main baat kar rahi hoon Jai kay baaray main, aur yeh beech main, Krishna aur Arthva ka mantra pard raha hai.'

Meanwhile Pushkar had some similar thoughts, 'Yeh Massi bhi.. pura plan kharab kar rahi hai. Har baar, 'jab Jai choota that oh,' Soch Pushkar, Soch' he said to himself.

And that day fate (moi!) was on his side. The children came running into the room towards Pushkar and asked him to come see their room.

'Aao na Uncle.. Please.. Meray kamre main ek bara sa teddy bear hai.. pata hai?' said Krishna.

'yes, this was it' thought Pushkar.. 'Main Bani ko bhi saath lay ke chalta hoon' 'Chalo Bani.. tum bhi aao..'

Bani hesitated. 'Nahi Nahi beta.. tum jaao bachoon kay saath, Bani hain na yahan. Muhje kitchen main thora kaam hain to, Bani aur Jai thori baatein kar lengay!' Massi was also not someone to pass an opportunity like this!

Pushkar was stuck, it would be rude if he persisted to take Bani along with. 'Ab kya karay ka??' Massi laughed silently. 'Ab tum Jai Bani kay beech main nahi aa sakte!'

Pushkar tried to think of something, but Bani said, 'Nahi Massi, main bhi aapkay saath kitchen main chalti hoon,'

Massi was not expecting this, 'Nahi Nahi beta, tum yahan baitho.'

'Nahi Massi, aap chalo, batao muhje kya kaam karma hai' Bani went towards the kitchen and Massi had no choice but to follow. In the kitchen Massi was not concentrating, it was mainly Bani doing most of the work, while Massi was trying to think of another way to get them closer. 'The dinner!! They can sit next to each other!' Massi was delighted.. Yes!!

Pushkar was upstairs with Jai and the children in the twins' room. 'Soch Pushkar' He made appropriate comments and sounds when the children and/ or Jai talked to him, or showed him something, but his mind was working on other things. 'the dinner table' he thought, 'she can sit between the kids, or atleat woth one of the during dinner' Pushkar mentally congratulated himself and made a note of getting Bani seated before Massi could intervene!

Soon, Jai, pushkar and the kids came down to dinner. The dinner table was round and could seat 8 people. Massi and Bani were bringing out the dishes and placing them on the table. The children were having a sword fight with their spoons (they weren't sitting down) while Jai and Pushkar(seated) were talking about the stock exchange!(they're men.. that's what they do!).

Massi was watching from the kitchen as Bani placed the last dish down and went to sit next to Pushkar and an empty chair. 'No' thought Massi and Pushkar, 'don't sit there'. As soon she sat down, Pushkar got up. 'you have to sit next to the kids' he thought.

Jai also got up and asked Pushkar if everything was fine. 'yeah, I just got up to seat the kids' sid Pushkar. Jai looked at him curiously. Pushkar smiled nervously 'that was such a bad excuse you idiot' he thought.

Massi saw and this and quickly called Jai in the kitchen on the pretence of some work. 'Now when you go back, sit next to Bani ok?' Jai nodded and made his way back.

Puskhar was busy setaing the kids, right next to Bani! He had already seated Arthva on one side and Massi had noticed this. 'Yeh Pushkar to aur..' she thought angrily. 'magar main bhi kam nahi' she quickly called Krishna into the kitchen and gestured Jai to next to Bani. Jai obliged.

Pushkar looked at massi angrily. 'yeh to aur…' pushkar muttered a slective choice of words and took his seat on one of the empty chairs. Massi sat next to him while Krishna sat next to Jai.

(so it's Bani, Arthva, empty, Pushkar, Massi, empty, Krishna, Jai)

'oh damn, main kahan phas gayee' Bani nearly cried. Between Arthva and Jai??

But Massi and Pushkar were quite pleased with themselves. 'chalo, dono nahi kam se kam ek kay pass to baithe.' Thought Pushkar.

'Munna ke pass baithe to sahi, nahi to yeh Pushkar pata nahi kahan aa jata hai har baar'

'The perfect family' they both muttered.

'huh?' they looked at each other

'Aap ne kuch kaha'?

'Tum ne kuck kaha?'

Nahi toh, they replied simultaneously.

Did he just say the perfct family? Massi thought, with a look of confusion on her face.

Did she just say the perfct family? Pushkar wondered in amazement.

Meanwhile Jai and Bani looked at them, puzzled.

Hope after hearing each other say "A perfect family", they at least try to speak with themselves first and together make a plan!!!!!!!!

Pushkar and Maasi playing all those games and finally about to realize that they have the same end goal....LOL!
