A month had passed by since Bani's intro to Jai's family and now she was a regular there, she loved spending her time here with Massi, Dadi and she had found a younger sister in Anu, Life couldn't have been any better for her she had more than she ever imagined, she felt loved, and wanted for who she was.
Jai was in his room getting ready to leave for work when Massi came in
Jai: Massi aap
Massi: haan beta, mujhe tujhse ek baat karni thi
Jai: jee Massi per aap pehle baitho toh
Massi: Jai meh kafi dino se iss bare mein sooch rahi thi, lekin pichle dino tu kaam meh itna uljha hua tha ki mauka nahi mila
Jai: Massi, koi serious baat he asked concerned
Massi: haan bhi aaur nahi bhi
Jai: Massi, kya baat hai?
Massi: Dekh meh seedhe baat karti hoon, mujhe lagta hai ki aab tu aaur Bani shaadi kar lo
A smile came over his face
Massi: meh janti hoon woh khud toh kahegi nahi per beta aab aaur kitna intezar karna chahte ho?
Jai: Massi, aap theek keh rahi hain, meh usse baat karta hoon
Massi: usse toh baat kar lena per uske gharwalon se bhi toh baat karni paregi, shaadi ka mamla hai, unki bhi toh marzi zarori hai, unhe pata toh hai na?
Jai went stiff for a second but composed himself well in time
Massi continued 'agar nahi maloom toh unhe batana bhi toh hai'
Jai: nahi Massi unhe pata hai, actually Bani ka bara bhai Kunal know about the two of us, aaur meh iss bare mein usse baat bahut pehle kar li thi, usse koi aitraz nahi hai.
Massi: toh kya uske ma baap ko nahi pata?
Jai: Massi, woh actually, umm, mujhe pakka nahi pata ki Kunal neh bataya hoga ki nahi, magar meh Kunal se kehta hoon apse baat karne ko
Massi: tu muje uska number de deh meh khud baat kar leti hoon
Jai: Massi, mujhe waise bhi usse baat karni thi toh meh hi keh doonga.
Massi heard the resentment in his voice so didn't pursue the matter further and Jai left for work.
Getting in his cabin he sat down pushing his head back in the chair
Buzz Buzz
'ya Rano'
Rano: Sir just reminding you that you've a meeting at two
Jai: ya, I remember thanks Rano, and listen is Bani in yet?
Rano: yes sir she's here
Jai: ok thanks
Jai called her, she didn't pick up the phone 'yeh phone kyun nahi utha rahi' just as he said that Bani entered his cabin with a bunch of files.
Jai here you are and I was calling you
Bani smiled, 'what can I say my boss keeps me on my toes'
Jai: getting up as she came forward 'really now' taking the files from her putting them aside
Bani: unhun
Jai: well I guess we'll have to do something about this boss of yours
Bani: I don't think he'll listen he's pretty stubborn you see
Jai: really, then there is only one thing we can do
Bani looked at him inquisitively
Jai: in fact its Massi's idea, she wants you to marry him
Bani: smiling kya
Jai: haan aaj Massi neh mujhse kaha ki abb hume shaadi karleni chaiyeh
Bani looked down
Jai: what do you think?
Bani in turn hugged him
Jai laughed putting his hands over her giving her a tight hug he was so happy; 'Bani toh tumhe koi aitraz nahi hai

Jai: meh Kunal se baat karun' she nodded her head moved against his chest
They heard a knock on the door Bani quicky pulled away from him, while Jai took his seat.
Bani fiddled through the files as Jai called in the person
Jai: come in
Rano came in with a file 'sir I needed your signatures on this file'; while Jai went through the papers she noticed Bani's flushed face, she came near her 'Bani tabiyat kharab hai kya'
Bani: softly nahi toh
Rano: nahi tera chehra itna lal kyun hai
Jai almot choked seeing Bani from the corner of his eyes.
Bani: nahi Rano meh theek hoon
Jai: Rano here is the file also please fax a copy of it to Mr. Verma too
Rano: right sir
Bani: Jai yeh tumhari aaj ki meeting ki presentation ready hai tum ek baar check kar lo, I think I got everything in it but please check it.
Jai: I'm sure its fine, but I'll go through it
Bani: sure Jai I'll get going now there is so much work pending
Jai: ya
Adi came into Jai's cabin
Jai: ah Adi
Adi: Jai meeting ke liye deer ho rahi hai chal na
Jai: haan yaar bas yeh fax dekh raha tha
Adi: chal baad meh dekh lena
Jai: haan chal
Everyone was in seated in the conference room, the meeting lasted till five
Jai: so ladies and gentlemen any questions about anything we have discussed thus far
Mr. Verma: ya Sir just one, who ever is stationed to go to Florence will they resume back here upon return
Jai: absolutely, this will be just a temporary assignment till we have get some people trained thereafter the people going from here will come and join us back here.
Jai: ok then if that's it then we'll call it a day and those of you present here have any reservations on going please get in touch with Adi or me and let us know so we can plan accordingly.
As everyone filed out of the room Jai got up and stretched it had been a tiring day
Adi: Jai initially you too will have to go there right
Jai: ya I know, that's what I was thinking too, by the end of next month I have to be there, and you know once we start I'll be gone for a good six months or so, aaur aaj Massi shaadi ke baat bhi kar rahi thi
Adi: toh accha hai na
Jai: I don't know Adi, you know the thing with her parents and I don't know what to tell Massi
Adi: Jai have you spoken to Bani's brother about this?
Jai: nahi not yet but whatever it is I don't think it'll be a good idea for her parents to be here for the wedding, I don't want to spoil things for her not after what happened.
Adi: Jai speak with Kunal first he may have a idea
Jai: I guess you're right I'll talk to him tonight
Adi: ya do that
Bani was still working in her office when Jai came by
Jai: Bani its time to go home
Bani looked up 'Jai bas thora aaur baki hai, let me finish this'
Jai: no we're done for the day finish it tomorrow
Bani: what if I don't plan on coming tomorrow
Jai: and why not
Bani: just feel like it
Jai: right whatever now get up we'll grab something to eat on the way
Bani: stubborn
Jai: kuch kaha?
Bani: smiling nahi toh
Jai was like ok
They had dinner at China garden and Jai dropped her home
Bani: andar nahi chaloge
Jai: nahi aaj nahi I've to finish up something
Bani: ok see you tomorrow, bye
Jai: so you're coming?
Bani: why wont I? then she remembered 'oh well that, umm'
Jai smiled: goodnight love, I'll see you tomorrow, and drover off.
Bani stood there blushing as his car disappeared in the fog of the night.
That night Jai called Kunal
Jai: hi Kunal how are you?
Kunal: good, you tell me whats up, aaj subah subah meri yaad kaise aagayi
Jai: yaad karna para kaam jo tha
Kunal: in that case I'm a little busy now call me later
Jai chuckled
Kunal: kya baat hai
Jai: Kunal the thing is Massi wants Bani and I to get married now she's pretty keen that we tie the knot soon
Kunal was happy 'toh isme problem kya hai'
Jai: problem toh kuch nahi hai but she wants to talk with your parents about it, you know how it goes
Kunal: Jai i would rather keep them out of this
Jai: I know but I don't know what to tell her
Kunal: Jai if you want I'll talk to her
Jai: that's what I told her too, but what I'm afraid of is she will probably want to talk to your parents too and suppose even if you convince her for now talking with her, she'd expect them to be here for the wedding.
Kunal: Jai I don't know yaar
Jai: tell me about it
Kunal: ok let me speak with her first then I'll see what I can do
Jai: ya, here let me give you the home number
Kunal: ya
Jai: 2230421 just call her, and tell me what happens
Kunal: ya I'll do that
Entire day Kunal was trying to think of different excuses, but nothing was coming to him, he didn't quite know what he was going to do.
Later on in the evening he decided to make that phone call 'jo hoga dekha jayega'

Anu picked up the phone
Kunal: Hello
Anu: Hi who's this
Kunal: this is Kunal can I talk with Massi
Anu: oh my God aree you Bani Mami is brother
Kunal: ya that right
Anu: god finally I am talking to you Mami has told me so much about you, she keeps telling me all these stories I wish you were my brother maybe you can put some sense to my brother when you meet him
Kunal was like who in the world is this chatterbox
Kunal: well, anu right, I wanted to speak to Massi, is she available?
Anu: oh I forgot wait let me call her
Kunal: jeez thanks 'ya'

Massi: haan Anu
Anu: Massi, Bani Mami ke bhai ka phone hai apke liye
Massi: Kunal ka
Anu: ya
Massi: hello
Kunal: Namaste, massi
Massi: khush raho beta, meh tumhare hi phone ka intizar kar rahi thi
Kunal: jee, Jai ne bataya ki aap mujhse baat karna chahti thi
Massi: Hann, actually yeh baat meh karna toh tumhare mata pita se thi, kher
Kunal: Massi aap mujhse baat kar sakti hain, meh unhe bata donga waise bhi woh dono kuch dino ke liye bahar gaye hue hain
Massi: Kunal meh Jai ke liye tumse Bani ka haat mangti hoon, chchti hoon ki woh jaldi se humari ghar bahu ban kar aye, agar tumhe aaur tumahre ghar walon koh koi aitraz na ho
Kunal: mujhe koi aitraz nahi hai Massi, aaur yeh baat Jai bhi janta hai
Massi: phir bhi agar tum apne parents se baat kar lo toh
Kunal: aap chinta mat kariye, Bani bachpan se hi mere zyada kareeb thi, aaur uski zimmedari meri hai, lekin meh unse baat karlunga.
Massi: theek hai jaise tum theek samjho, toh main punditji se baat karke shaadi ka mahurat nikalwa loon
Kunal: jaisa aap theek samjhen.
Massi: toh meh aaj hi baat karti hoon aaur tumhe batati hoon
Kunal: jee, taki hum wahan ane ka plan kar saken.
Massi: theek hai beta rakhti hoon
Kunal: namaste
