The only thing that could be hears was the wind whistling in and out through the rooms. There lies Bani's portrait shattered in bits and pieces and in between it was her husband, kneeling down on the ground. He tried to put the pieces together in an attempt to make the portrait perfect again but it just wouldn't work. The shattered pieces resembled his shattered heart. The pain and the suffering.. He remembered of the first time he laid eyes on Bani, the first time he had gifted her a saree, he remembered the amazing smile that she always had on, and most importantly he remembered the moments they were a family..with Bani, their two kids and him. He was actually happy. He was longing happiness for his whole entire life and just as quickly as she walked into his life…she even left his life quicker. The only thing of hers that remains in his life are his two precious kids. His daughter looked exactly like her mother…brown eyes..same smile…and he remembered how protective how his son is towards Bani.. He would only go to Bani..he was Mamma's little boy. Darkness engulfed him. His eyes begin to moisten and now he just couldn't hold back the tears. He screamed with tears rolling down his eyes
BANI!!! BANI!! BANI!!!!
His voice could be heard all the way in the kitchen…
Girl: Mr. Walia….
The girl sprinted up the stairs and forced open the door and hugged him…gently rubbing his back in and up and down motion…
Jai: Bani… Bani…tum hi hona???
Bani: ha Mr. Walia…mein hi hoon…aur kaun ho sakta hai??? Ek bhoot?
Jai: Agar eyh asli hai toh slap me
Bani screamed: WHAT?!?!1
Jai: suna na mujhe..slap me…agar yeh sacch hai toh mujhe chhot lagegi aur agar yeh sapna hai toh chot nahi lagegi…
Bani: Mr. Walia ..aap mere pati hai..I can't slap you…
Jai: Bani please if you love me…slap me
Bani gave into his want and slapped him on his right cheek.
Jai enthusiastically : Bani its you! It really is you! His mood switched to becoming shocked when he said I thought ki tum mar gayi thi aur yeh.. he placed his hand down to a bump on her belly…I thought I lost both of you'll…don't ever leave me…
Bani placed her palm on his cheek and said Mr. Walia..I won't ever leave you..inti aasani se thodi chutkara milega?
Bani: dard toh nahi hua na?
Jai looked at her confused. Kaunsa dard…
Bani: meine aapko ek jhapat diya tha..mein uske baare mein baat kar rahi hoon
Jai looked at her with love visible in his eyes…no Bani…dard jab laga tha mujhe jab mujhe aisa laga ki tum meri zindagi ke se chali gayi…
Bani smiled and wondered what has she ever done to deserve a husband who loves her so much and is an amazing father to her children…no their children…
Bani smiled softly and said: chaliye aap soh jaye..
Jai: Bani….
Bani took Jai's head and placed it on her chest as she lied down on the bed too. She had to forget her kitchen work because this time Jai had to sleep because he has been working too hard and he needed her right now…and she wanted to be by his side right now..
Jai placed his head on her chest..with one hand on the bump of the belly..their third child coming into the world soon and one arm wrapped around Bani..
Bani wrapped her arms around Jai and rubbed his back..gently to calm him down..
Jai: I love you Bani
Bani: I love you too Mr. Walia
A few weeks have passed by and now it was time for Bani's ghod bharay rasam
