Chapter 2

Bani was nervously tapping her fingers on her make-up table. It was 7:52 pm and the Walia's were going to arrive any moment now. She checked herself one more time in the mirror. She had light pink lipstick on matching the colour of her salwar kameez. As she inspected herself, she heard a car pulling up on their drive way. Bani's eyes flew open. "They're here," she said to herself.

On the other hand Jai got out of his black tinted BMW observing the mansion in front of him. They look rich he thought to himself. Jai was wearing a pink dress shirt with the first three buttons open, showing his muscular chest with a perfect tan. He had a black blazer on top and he wore blue denim jeans which kind of had a faded look. His hair was sleeked back with gel.

Jai turned around and heard two voices behind him. "Ranveer because you rushed me I forgot my purse," Rashi screamed. "Well, if you didn't take two hours dressing up then maybe I wouldn't have rushed you," he replied. "And this is why I don't want to get married," Jai mumbled under his breath. Ranveer was Jai's older brother and he's married to Rashi. They are expecting their first child in 2-3 months and they seemed very excited. Jai also had another brother named Sahil but he was in America, studying and he was the youngest out of all of them.

Jai waited for his family members to reach the door, although Masi was already standing there all excited. Jigyasa Jai's sister busy avoiding Jai's best friend and her ex-husband Aditya while he was trying to make jokes. Ranveer was saying sorry to Rashi while she was ignoring him. Finally they all came and Jai rang the door bell. The butler opened the door and welcomed them inside. Nishikant seated them in the living room while Karan was working in the kitchen. Bani came down the stairs slowly, although Jai didn't see her since he was busy talking to her dad. Bani came in the living room and introduced herself to everyone shyly.

During then Karan came out of the kitchen and served tea to everyone. Through out all this Jai still hadn't noticed Bani. After Karan and Bani both went back to the kitchen Masi turned to Jai.
"So?" she questioned.
"So, what," Jai replied.
"You like her?"
"Who"
"The girl that just came out."
Karan came once again this time talking to Nishikant about something.
Jai looked at Karan and turned back to Masi whose eyes were glued to Jai, "Masi I know you want to get me married badly, but I didn't know you were this desperate."
"What do you mean?" Masi said confused.
"She looks old enough to be my mother."
Masi looked at Bani who was standing beside Aditya talking to him.
"How do she look like your mother?"
"Masi," Jai turned around to see Masi staring at another girl. "Oh, her!" Jai sighed happily.
" Yeah, who else? Anyways forget it tell me do you like her?" Jai looked at her, how her dimple showed when she talked to Aditya and how she smiled brightly. She was simple, but cute Jai thought.
" Yeah I like her," Jai said smiling widely. He realized what he had just said and he corrected himself, " I mean she's okay…. I guess." Before Masi could respond the butler announced that dinner was ready.

After they ate dinner, Bani's parents and Masi felt that Jai should be left alone with Bani so they could talk and decide if they want to marry each other or not. Ranveer, Rashi, Bani and Jai were standing on the balcony. Ranveer was talking to Jai and Rashi and Bani were chatting away. Masi appeared at the doorway, " Ranveer, Rashi can you guys come downstairs and help me with something?"

"Rashi you go Jai and I are talking," Ranveer replied. Rashi understood that Masi wanted Jai and Bani alone so she took Ranveer's arm and whispered in his ear, " Stupid she means to leave these two alone." "Oh," Ranveer mumbled. With that Ranveer and Rashi exited with Masi leaving them all alone.

Jai looked at her and smiled weirdly. She looked beautiful her face shining in the moonlight. Her big eyes bowed down shyly as her small elegant hands laid on the balcony railing. Jai snapped back to reality after he stopped checking her out. There was an awkward silence between the two. "So….." Jai said looking at Bani.

lol thanx 😊 in the beginning it might sound like the movie but i might change it in the middle since i have another plot in mind
