great work, armana. For Bani, that night she could never forget. No doubt, it was a special night for him too but doesn't seem thus far that it had the same impact on him as it did for her. I am confused if he had not recognised her at all from her face (he may not have been able to discern her clearly that blackout night but he would have seen her face at the church lighted by candles albeit not clearly but he must have a face imprint to her name..Bunny), did he experience a feeling of familiarity. When they made love the second time around was there any nostalgic feeling on his part? Or did he just erase that night and meeting bec it caused him too much pain a sense of loss that he did not want to deal with and pushed to the dark recesses of his mind, a chapter closed never to be revived till the same feeling and ache resurfacing now causing him to thus act?
Love to read more

Armana you got to answer this. This is exactly my question too.

The first time was supposed to be very special for both of them since neither of them fled from the scene after making love. They were very much aware of themselves and of the act they had performed.

Yes 7 years is a long time. And Bani might have grown beyond recognition for Jai. But when they cosnummated again, didnt he feel anything? Like being associated to her from previous times or being somewhat familiar to the feelings?

I am not being able to frame the question properly but I hope you got my question. 😊

hi armana...words fail me everytime i sit to comment on this magnificient piece of work 👏 👏 and i did not want to sound monotonous hence took time to comment
so pia is pia here also....but again she is the reason for these two to meet ....the setting of the chapel actually the whole scenario was so haunting ,despair, and yet so peaceful.....
...the way u dealt with their coming together without any promises ,any commitment yet so sacred,so beautiful....its ur words that make them so enchanting..there is a stirring undercurrent in ur writing ..... which evokes every possible emotion in the reader and takes them into ur story .....the ease with which u transform ur readers from the past to the present and vice versa is totally commendable..
but the best thing is without crowding ur work with too many characters u have yet given space to everyone from the protagonists to a name jaya...which makes us curious even abt them 😊 and secondly u have given an identity,an individualism to bani minus the dixit ,not a sis or daughter or lover or friend but a women named bani...i always wanted to see this in kS who is this girl if not multitasking between relationships, what does she think, like, yearn for ...alas!
jai walia the man who defines everything he stands for..yet so vunerable,so human...
thanks armana waiting eagerly for the next part

as oval puts it even i want to know did not jai feel any familiarity when he and bani made love did nothing connect to that night for him ..coz he does remember his angel...waitinf for ur response😊

Hah great part - loved it.

And Armana, you know what I like best about your Bani(s) - she's not coy. She's a woman who is quite unafraid to love, so comfortable with her own sexuality. she's not aggressive, or particularly "modern" about it, but she isn't afraid of being who she is. I like.

Couldn't have described Armana's Bani in a better way!😃 Bang on spot! Yes, Bani in this story is someone who is modern without making a show of it and traditional without really being orthodox! A very realistic, mature and level-headed young woman who knows exactly what she is doing and why she is doing the same!

JW on the other hand is a paradox here! Tempermental and Egoistical too the point of being boorish also, at times, yet exceedingly tender and warm, when he gives in to his Heart instead of his Mind! Once again, a character with multiple-layers in him, quite an Engima😳

By showing that Jai is not able to fully remember Bani as the Stranger in the Chapel, while showing that Bani having made her whole life commendable (Taking herself and life positively after meeting Jai) just based on that ONS, goes to prove, how different is a man's perception from a woman's perception, when it comes to the matters of the Heart!

While Jai has not fully dismissed what happened that night, one cannot forget that he is a man of the world, someone who has had plenty of women in his life and also someone who does not really believe in love (Or so he would like to have us believe) hence, for him, the ONS reflects more of an out come of mutual grief and personal faliure shared between two strangers, he has a special soft corner for his Angel but at the same time, hasn't really thought much about that night! Bani on the other hand took that fateful meeting with a stranger as the turning point of her life, not really expecting to meet Jai again, yet, faithfully and devotedly remaining in love with a man, without even knowing his identity!

Dying to see Jai's reaction when he finally realizes that Bani is his Angel!😃

One Special Request : I know that you must have already written or atleast formed the rest of the story in your mind, but I would really, really love it, if you could make Jai realize Bani's identity at the very place where they first met!😳

Wonderful Part, A! 👏Hopefully, you will post the next part soon, am waiting eagerly for it!

Lots of Love,

MT

Armana,
very well written.. 👏
But I'm not too sure about this JW now... I mean how can he not recgnise her... he remembers his angel... then how is it that being with Bani doesn't stir any memory... 😕

Your writing is cerebral as well as emotive.

And it is actually "beautiful" to read.

I am a very satisfied reader.

Thanks. 😊

thank you.
as always i enjoy your pithy comments tremendously.

fantastic... close to my heart as usual.. it doesn't look like an ff despite the names of ks.. if they were different then it is something unique you could take it out there... thank you.. when we feel extreme contented with feelings words won't escape from lips... now i think i am dealing with a ff writer that is not typical... wow.. patience of penelope.. the most tested patience of an womanhood.. in the gripe old age love traced its way down there to her eyes as the disguised form of her lost love.. no better companrison.. rather old fashioned lady... haan. 👏 👏 👏

I am really glad that you enjoyed the reference to Penelope.
I am not sure who is being called old fashioned, me or my Bani, but both of us are quite pleased to be thought so.
Thanks.
And i am even glader to read that you are enjoying this ff even though it is not typical.

If u start writing for a weekly magazine, let me know where to subscribe...You are also doing the classics a favor, reminding us about works that have been gathering dust (at least in my mind).

👏
bt

you know i still cherish the comment you had posted on an earlier TFS thread that reading it made you want to revisit the library and the classics.
(yes, i read all of them!)
and that was a truly special compliment. thank you for another one.

armana
