I mostly saw Kutumbs re-run episodes. It was all my aunts and cousins favourite serial and their fav actor.😛

During my school days the only drama that Iwatched was Baneegi Apni Baat, and nothing else. I started on Hindi dramas after my marriage as my SIL was an avid watcher of all the dramas, and I myself am not a regular at all except for KS (which I have stoped watching because of the nonsense, and only watch the episode MT recommends)

I do remeber some of the serials episodes, the honeymoon, the abortion one , the other woman one, etc😃😆

It was the best role ever by Hiten and he should get to do something like that again. Hes wasted as Karan now.

Hmm thats true i dont know i think its easier if i explain why i like nahars character i think the fact that hes a normal husband to a extent and him and saloni have a great marriage..hes not a saint ...at the moment they are on the verge of breaking up...howeve when he shows emotions you do genuinly feel for him...not just that hes lovable guy and they dont just show him and saloni they show him as a family guy his relationship with bhabo..salonis family...brijesh...to be honest jai too can be said the same with massis relationship and aditya, pushkar etc..his family however the key difference is i find Jai whos meant to be this strong man to confused..to indecisive at times...nahars alot more decisive he stands by what he says ....

what have i started jws just not my type of character...like my good friend shaz the keeper of the holy belna said to me its a k serial everyones confused ...lol

Btw, I was mad about SRK as Captain Abhimanyu Saxsena in Fauji too.....I don't think I have ever liked him again the way I used to be crazy about him in Fauji! He was incrediblly charming as the spoilt and bumbling young recruit in the Army! Wonder where that innocence and natural performance vanished?😕

He has shown Ekta a clear mirror of her shows sensibilities… and trust me all Ekta bashers will be really proud of him 😃 ! I really don't understand why the Industry makes a God out of Ekta. I do maintain that she has a very good eye for talent, but she cant make stars… The audience makes stars! So she better stop thinking that she is the 'Be all and End all' of the Television fraternity 😡 !

Yes, I do believe that no actor can be bigger than his character! But then again every rule has an exception and Rajeev is an exception through out! For Ekta it is all about TRPs… and how sure are we that they aren't rigged? If she thinks Rajeev has flopped just because he doesn't have the Trps… then she is more than welcome to feel so! frankly every Rajeev fan wishes that he never comes back into Balaji… cause Balaji cant cope with him 😆 !
Seriously, the last 2 years we Rajeev fans have seen and heard enough & truned indifferent to her temper tantrums when quizzed about Rajeev! But what is commendable is that Rajeev's popularity hasn't faded, Not one bit! He still hasn't reached that stage where is stranded with no work. He still is the actor who commands the highest pay cheque in the industry… it is another question if he wants to cash in on that 😕 ! He does work only which catches his imagination! He has made it absolutely clear that stardom is a bonus, but it is creative satisfaction that he works for. If he aspired stardom he would have taken up 2-3 shows (like most of the actors do!) and managed to do more than well for himself! His shows might not be run away hits in the TRP ratings but they def dare to be different & Logical with creative sensibilities in the right place! and most importantly his acting has been appreciated by all… so much so that with less than 30 episodes on air he was nominated for the Best Actor category, esp for a show on a channel which isnt transmitted in half of India!

Ok, this was supposed to be about the character, right? And I took off talking about Rajeev… that is because Sujal Garewal wouldn't have been who he is without Rajeev and Rajeev wouldn't shot to fame so early if it wasn't for Sujal Garewal!
On why my choice will be Sujal Garewal, is because this man is the only one who from the day he appeared on the screen till the day he vanished was the same guy! The 20 months that Sujal reined there wasn't one moment in the show where u could say Sujal Garewal wont do this! I don't remember ever sitting in front of the TV praying all mighty to get back the Sujal I fell in love with, because one could only fall more in love with him as the story went ahead! Sujal Garewal is one character and probably the ONLY character (atleast till date) whose life hasn't been decided by the female protagonist of the story! He was such a character who u cant even get him to look at you, not until he wants to! He undoubtedly is the most dignified characters and def the only guy who had a spine which didn't break due to the antics of the others around him! There hasn't been a moment in the history of Sujal Garewal where u as an audience would defend him… he didn't need anyone to defend his actions! He did that himself, 'u take it or leave it' types! This character was so clear, that there was no scope for u to interpret him in any other way than the way he was portrayed! I can go on about this man… so I better cut the long story short! Sujal Garewal is very special because that man remained in his elements from day1 👏 ! Consistency is where Sujal Garewal scores over the rest of the Balaji clan! Take me for example, could anyone ever imagine me saying anything against Jai Walia? Now the sight of the man he has turned drive me mad 😡 😕 !

I will very well say that Sujal Garewal succeed in retaining his charm and charisma because of Rajeev! Yes, complete credit to Ekta for such a beautiful creation, but then it was Rajeev who nourished and nurtured it with so much passion that can never be expected out of another actor! You will not beleive there wasnt a single blooper than any1 can pick in Sujal's track, else there were lots in the story! Sujal was ready to be slaughtered a number of times all for a twists in the story, but Rajeev didn't let them compromise with Sujal's dignity and character at any stage. He preferred to walk out instead of portraying Sujal sleeping with his own sister in law(ya, Ekta cant think beyond her gissa pita tracks, Sujal nahi karega…to kya hua Mr. Bajaj aur Mr. Walia tho karenga na 😡 !)! Well, his conviction won and they did away with that track completely 👏 . but what can u expect from the ever genius Kreatives 😡 ? The next time they suggested a slaughter of Sujal's character, Rajeev told them to kill the character as in anycase Sujal's journey had come to a logical end! Then they got an imposter to play Sujal and even got a nose job done to look like Rajeev's fame nose… nothing worked 😆 ! The character was still called Sujal Garewal, but didn't inspire any respect that the ORIGINAL commanded! So the success of this Sujal Garewal is because of Rajeev!


I don't mean anything against Ram, He surely is one of the finest actors on TV 👏 ! But cant really say the same about the Jai Walia I am seeing right now ! He isnt the character who I love anymore 😭 … and till they manage to salvage & restore (oh, I still have hope 😡 !) the Jai Walia in all his glory I prefer to be indifferent towards him ! Do u blame me… even if I manage to overlook everything(like I always have) Sujal follows up Kasam se at 9.30 and there I am reminded yet again of standards! So sorry Jai, till Sujal is around, u always be a distant second for me! And looks like Sujal's magic will work on me forever!

I know Jai Walia will get the max votes in this forum and fairly so, why would u care to be here, if u don't like Jai Walia? But I say that anyone who has followed Sujal Garewal will never have a choice apart from him… and for all those who don't know which keth ki muli Sujal Garewal is I suggest u tune into Star Utsav at 9.30 pm IST! The entire show is repeating!

That was one arrogant Sujalian… and a proud Rajeev admirer 😆 . Anyway I think both of them deserve it and have earned it 😃 . after this post I am too sure to lose the tag of Jai camper 😕 and most importantly Raaga is going to throw me out of Despo club, she warned me to be in the best behaviour and look what I have done 😕, Made her munna look insignificant !

Aww....Anu after reading your post dear its clear to all that you defintiely are Rajeevs biggest fan ever.

And dear you said his other roles were not that greta, the only thing I can say, it my opinion that he really is not that great an actor at all or he would have been able to bring the same passion to his other characters as well and make them as much loveable as Sujal.

He was a damp squid in Time Bomb, CID, LRL. He really cant act and the only thing he does good is look good. Thats all. And in KTH the only thing going for him was Sujal was a very well written charactrer and thus his success, and he looked so good as Sujal and why not against Amna Sahrif all actors look good at acting.

My personal fav in KTH was Shabbir who played Rishi.

Rajeev still has to porve himself as a good actor and at that he is no good at all.

Examples who even after not working with Ekta are good actors and their characters liked in other roles as well are Amar Upaydha ex-Mihir now playing Rahul Kharmanda and doing an excellent job, other is Kiran Kalesker ex-OM, and now in Thodi Si Zameen, Todha Asman.

And all of the above along with Ram Kapoor, Ammar Upaydha, Aman Verma, Kiran Kaleskar, Varun Badola, Hitan, Iqbal, Ejaz are all much much better actors then Rajeev .

its fine 😃 hun honestly people dont need to be scared i might come across like that i dont mind what people want to say they can say they hate nahar...but i am gonna say my bit though😳 i love a debate 😆 ...

Maybe so to be honest i have not seen many serials that have significant male characters i watch betiyaan its all about the girls and the actors are all new to be honest and still learning...then ks which has jw ofcourse which does not appeal to me then saath phere which nahar is inportant as the one who saloni took the saath phere with sorry for that line 😕 if it makes sense ...he sure is loving and understand....😳 hes got a sweetness to him.....that he brings to the character.

with balaji male leads as i heard ektaji herself says she tries to potray strong women thats who the show focuses on with ks its different because jw is significant to the story as the link between the 3 sisters.

***Cant tell u Archie how much I loved this character 😳 ! I mean, I didnt love Mihir nor Anuraag for this matter nor to this level 😳 ! He was a too good in the role and much real 😳 ! And the same thing was shown till the serial ended and his character wasn't messed up at all! I can even remember his emotions when he signed the divorce papers in front of the judge and the way he burned in jealousy seeing Gauri with the other guy! And I feel Sujal was very good. I mean in the same trend of Pratham continued but Rajeev gave a different look to it! I know Ekta has ego problems, but cannot deny that today Rajeev is ready to work with Ekta where as she is not and cannot deny that fact that even today she is queen of soaps and she has created characters to which viewers of gone gaga over them! No doubt that after those actors have left the show nor the character have kept the same impact, but no one can even refuse that the actors who left her shows and those characters are not able to create the same charm nor craze among the audience! I think wrote too much...

I think a true test of a character is whether it can see something through the ups and downs of storytelling. I have seen aboyt 20-30 epis of KTH when I was in India and thought that the role of Sujal Garewal was one dimensional of a obssesed lover of Kashish. There was no further definition or breadth to that character. I feel a lot of people can play that role. Also Rajeev from what I hear left at the peak. I think a true test is to see if a cahracter can survive all shades of storytelling. If he had stayed put and managed to potray the character through the dumps that would have been another story. A feel a true test of character is when you empathize even when you hate what they are doing and feel the pain and the betrayal.

JW is a multifaceted character. Also RK put so much definition, pain, intensity into the character that we wept with him when he cried, raged at him at his fall, suffered with him when he was broken and all through it we wanted him to win. Any other characted or actor KS would have bombed a long time ago. I think KS a serial without any parrellel story lines resting solely on JB having being butchered numerous times is still standing is a true accolade for the characterization for JW. Also I am not too impressed with the acting chops of Rajeev, he is not bad but no one would say he was amazing. RK is amazing as JW.

Ash, I think Amar improved with the show, because I started seeing KSBKBT very late and never from the beginning so you may be right he may have imporved as an actor duiring the show or drama.

But then Kiran, Varun , Aman, Ram, Ronit, are great actors and Rajeev still is no where close to them in acting and if he is , he still has to prove himself. For how long will he ride the popularity band wagon based on Sujal and Ekta character??

I really liked SRK the actor in movies like Kabhie Haan Kabhie Naa...he was so natural and so charming. He's still incredibly charismatic but Shah Rukh the brand has taken over the actor completely. 🤢 The only movie I liked him in recently was Swades, his performance was pretty good. But as far as I'm concerned Aamir is untouchable 😳
PS - I even found Karamchand very sexy 😆 Everyone had to call me Kitty for a long time 😉
