Best Male Character Created by Balaji!

Hi Guys,

This post is based on Madam Kapoor's interview in which she has blasted off the other RK, Poor Rajeeve Khandelwal, now that he has fallen out of her highness favoured list!😆

But what striked me about the interview was a statement in which Ekta said that an actor, however good, can never be bigger or greater than the character! Which even I think is 100% true!

But at the same time, it is an actor who gives flesh and life to the ficitional character! Just like a good actor can elevate a character to iconic status (For eg. Mihir Virani, Sujal Garewal and now Jai Walia) similarly a bad actor can leave even a reasonably well-written character in despair!

I really have no idea about which Balaji character is more famous amongst Masses ect, but do know that JW played with perfection by Ram Kapoor enjoys a super-iconic status amongst the TV Watching Public, ever since the inception of KS, last year! But at the same time, there are people (Lots of them) who still swear that Sujal Garewal played by Rajeev Khandelwal is till date the most revered and loved male character created by Balaji and no one can take his place! Mihir Virani enacted by Amar Upadhyay was also one of the earliest characters to have created the kind of mass hysteria that only Superstars in Movies do! And then there have been lots of in-between's like Anurag Basu played by Cezzane Khan (KZK), Pratham Mittal played by Hiten Tejwani (Kutumb), Rishab Bajaj played by Ronit Roy (KZK), Angad Khanna played by Iqbal Khan (KYPH) and Kaavya Nanda played by Ijaz Khan (Kaavyanjali)

I know that posting such a poll in a KS Forum will result in a heavy poll out in JW's favour, but still I wanted to read the general opinion here as to whom you consider to be the Most Engimatic, Powerful and Legendary Male Character by Balaji till date! The kind of character who will be remembered for ages by the Television going public (Just like Arun Govil is still remembered as Shri Ram from Ramayan and Nitish Bhardwaj for Shri Krishna from Mahabharat! Not in the same league obviously, but still, not forgotten also!)

Please do note that you will be expressing your opinion for both the character and the actor who enacts the role;

Great post...wow got me thinking about all of Kektaa's men 😆 😆 😆
But honestly for me the choice is clear - the two RK's rule 👏 👏 👏 I really don't agree with Ekta when she says that the character is more important than the actor coz doesn't the actor breathe life into the character? 😕
I honestly loved RK as Sujal...stopped watching KTH after he left and love the RK as Jai Walia. I cannot picture any other actor in his place and would honestly stop watching if he ever left the show. The chemistry between the RK-Aamna (even though I couldn't stand her) and RK-PD is what makes me addicted to KTH/KS. Even after the storyline has gone to the dogs I tune in just to see those two 😳 😳 😉
As for the rest here's my two cents:
Amar Upadhayay and Ronit Roy as Mihir Viran in KSBKBT - Amar was good, but poor Mihir Virani has become Tulsi maiya's pet poodle...all he ever does now is weep 😆 😆

Cezzane Khan as Anurag Basu in KZK - Can't stand the character or the actor 🤢

Ronit Roy as Rishab Bajaj in KZK - Not bad, but don't find RR half as good an actor as the RK's 😉

Hiten Tejwani as Pratham Mittal in Kutumb - This one I really liked...very arrogant total bad boy...his chemistry with Gauri was awesome!

Iqbal Khan as Angad Khanna in KYPH - Never saw the show!

Ijaz Khan as Kaavya Nanda in Kaayvanjali - Never saw this show either

Hiten Tejwani as Karan Virani in KSBKBT - Weeping willow - you have to be kidding!!!! 😆

Dear MT,

I have never seen others except for Jai Walia. So obviously its Jai Walia for me i.e RK is too good. However my friend did tell me about the other RK who played Sujal and just to find out I saw him perform in few episodes of KTH in Star Utsav where they show old serials and Left Right Left. He is nothing great. I think Ram Kapoor is far better actor and his and prachi's chemistry is too good....love...tin

Ekta has created some rather unforgettable male characters!😳

I used to like Hiten Tejawani a lot, especially in Kutumb! I was so addicted to the show, only to see him sparring with Gauri! And Hiten is a pretty decent actor too! But his Karan Virani in KSBKT has left a lot to be desired! As you describe him perfectly, he is nothing but a weeping willow!😆

Iqbal Khan as Angad Khanna rocked....I mean ROCKED!😃 I used to hate Neha Bamb, but watch KYPH only to ogle at IQ!😳

Kya hua,maayi's interview had such an impression on u that u started a thread on that...

In a way ,i think all credits goes to Ekta as finally she is the one who imagines,develops and approves a char and she is the one who chooses who has to play which character.
This lady one should agree plays her cards well while choosing the right person to play the right character!!!
Yup,Sujal's role was fav with masses but again,let me tell it was the char as i saw Rajeev working in KYKH were he played a grey char and i just tht he was good looking and his acting never fancied me much but sujal's char got him the fame,even now LRL he is good but utnae asar nahi hain!!!
Even IQ would hav been perfect fit for sujal as that guys ha right looks and attitude too.
Coming to KS,had anybody say mohinesh ya that other guy would hav played JW char i dont know abt others but i would hav not even noticed the serial...even RK once they went in depth with into JW his acting came out!!I used to watch RK's earlier serial Kavita with smriti he was good but that role had no much scope!!!
PM in kutumb is my all time favourite char i still remember how we gals used to rush to coll and discuss it and we even used to make groups and curse gauri everytime she usd to slap PM.hiten just rocked!!
But one char i really love was Bajaj....i mean u play the role of guy of 40+ with white hair and still sweep gals of the floor that is something really appreciative....the first shot of his i was lik who is this guy???why are they wasting him in a cameo!!! and rest is history how bajaj over shadowed anuraag.

So all i hav to say its right actor + right character combo finally gives us the best!!!

Unfortunetly i dont know of any of those leads 😭 aint seen mais show on stars only one episode of kahin tu hoga ...as for rajeev i think they have made up again i search ektajis name and found a article saying something like ekta knows i cannot understand saas bahu sagas here it is with link to thread i got it from

Have Ekta and Rajeev patched up?

Balaji is abuzz with rumours that Ekta Kapoor and former blue-eyed-boy Rajeev Khandelwal have patched up.

When we asked Ekta about it, she said, "Rajeev hasn't approached me directly for a role in a one of my shows, but if he does, I will definitely think about it."

Looks like a reunion is definitely on the cards.

Balaji sources add that Rajeev won't be returning as Sujal in Kahin Toh Hoga and will instead be given a bigger and better show.

My favourite all time balaji character is shruti ...as for male one 😕 none out of the shows i have seen to be honest dushal..notice i like that show and jodi 😳 ...out of that list hiten...because hes got such a lot of fans you dont wanna take panga with them trust me i did and know

four years ago i wud hav said pratham mittal , one year ago i wud hav said sujal ....... right now it is jai walia .......

Ram as JW has made the character larger than life.

Need you ask even MT.

Its of course Jai Walia simply because his character has been allowed to explore dimensions that the other Weepies have not been allowed to even view.

JW's character is the most 'male' of all the Male characters, not that he didnt have any glycerine escapades. But it was so unbelievable unlike Anurag (who can start crying at the drop of a hat etc.).

Another Balaji Male Character that I liked is Om's from KGGK though he doesnt find much favour anywhere. For one, Kiran Karmarkar is one hell of an actor and second the character was shaped very well(though not popularised) except for the last bit. However we didnt have to suffer much, cos once his character was mutilated, KK left KGGK.

I have not watched KGGK ever since not that I loved him or whatever, but becos the aura of Om could not be resurrected by anyone.

Sorry I am off topic but I had to write this cos we are discussing Balaji Male protagonists.
