As soon as Bani leaves the room, Jai gets up and follows her…He goes into his chamber and asks Mary not to disturb him and pours a drink for himself.
Aditya looked at Tarun: Tarun ek request hai, you will not file the papers without informing me…
Tarun: As you wish, isse keya faida mujhe samaj me nehi a rahe hai…
Aditya: Tumhe ayega bhi nehi because you are not married and you do not have a child…
Tarun shrugs, collects the papers and goes out…Aditya follows and asks Mary about Jai's whereabouts, Mary points his chamber but says he does not wants to be disturbed..Aditya goes in anyway…
Aditya: Jai tum yeh keya kar rahe ho…
Jai who was staring out of his window with a glass in his hand does not even turn around: Keya kar raha hu mai…
Aditya: Bani se divorce papers sign karwa rahe ho..
Jai turns: Tumhe galat faimi hui hai, aditya, divorce papers, Bani ne prepare karne ke liye kaha, maine nehi...
Aditya is momentarily taken aback but says: Theek hai, but she is keeping her side of her bargain, but tum toh usko rokh sakte ho, woh Neev ka ma hai…
Jai: Tum bhul rahe ho Aditya, she has kept her side of the bargain lekin abh meri bari hai…I have to keep my side and let her go…
Aditya is now very angry: Jai agar tumhare sine me koi dil hai, tum uske saath baath karoge, about your feelings uske baad you will come to an understanding, khayal rakhna woh Neev ki ma hai aur Neev ko agar bare hokar maloom chalega, I don't think he will forgive you…
Jai thinks for a while and looks into his eyes: Theek hai Aditya, I will speak to her, kaal ka din beeth jane do, I will definitely speak to her before she leaves, I promise you….
Aditya: Jai ek baath yaad rakhna, sab ke jindagi me aise khushiya bar bar nehi ateh aur jindagi business nehi hai….before Jai could reply anything otherwise, Aditya leaves…

It is late that night, Jai walks into Walia Mansion, the whole evening he was fighting with himself, is it right to tell Bani about his feelings or should he ask Bani for hers. Bani has kept her part of bargain now it is upto him to fulfill his part, let her go, she should not feel that he is imposing himself on her, as Aditya said talk to her about your feeling but then why did she ask Tarun to draw up the papers without informing him, itna toh bol hi sakti thi woh, it would not have been bolt from the blue, today when tarun wanted to meet him, he thought it was usual business lekin, yeh keya, akhir humdono ek hi kamre me rehte hai…it was after a few pegs and late into the evening, Jai could get up to leave for Walia Mansion…
The Walia Mansion is decorated like a bride, tomorrow is the youngest member's first birthday, Jai enters the living room, its past 12 o'clock in the evening and the house is quiet, everybody is conserving their energy for tomorrow, his son's birthday but he hardly has any idea what is the arrangement like except that there is a Puja in the morning, Jai goes upto his room, and through the interconnecting door into the nursery to see Neev, must have gone to bed, poor guy had to miss out on his evening ride today, but I will make it up tomorrow, stands next to cot, but where is Neev? Looks towards the reclining chair where Bani normally sits to give him his feed, that too is empty…Jai retreats to his room, on his way out, his eyes fall on his bed, in the low light he could see Bani lying on her back with Neev on her chest, both in deep sleep….Jai goes and stands in front of the bed….many people say that Neev is his father's son, his gait, his structure his nose but there is no doubt he is also very much Bani's son. When he plays with him, sometimes he feels that he is looking into Bani's eyes and not into Neev's. His laughter, his anger and even when he cries, he looks like Bani. Jai takes out his coat, removes his scarf, loosens his shirt….and then climbs into the bed to put his head next to Neev's, Bani, even in her sleep encircles them with her arms and kisses their heads.
