When Maasi was introduced to KS, we/I got the feeling that she will be a mother-figure, understanding and humane. And that she would play a positive role in solving problems in the family.
that hope of mine died the day she found out about jigyaasa's and ranveer's intentions and did nothing about it.
Would she have been real, I'm sure she would have fulfilled that role impeccably.
But no, Maasi's feelings and behaviour are controlled by a set of writers, who obviously have no concern to keep her real, to make her a person of flesh and blood. Their sole concern are high TRP's and if they have to commit charactermurder for that: NO PROBLEM!

This fact, the lack of compassion with the characters and the viewers, sometimes gives me the feeling that it is futile to discuss the events and characters of Kasamh Se, as they are not following any logical and understandable pattern. They are not developing as a normal human would. And thus we are betrayed, time and time again, by our beloved Jai, Bani, Maasi, for they keep doing and feeling things which are nothing but foolish or unreal.
It is of no use to try and understand the characters and events, as there is nothing understandable about them, they are purely arbitrary.
i do agree that sometimes it is as if we are banging our heads against a wall, because however much we debate, argue, reason and scream, no-one seems to be listening.
Well, after this bitter preface, I'm still fan enough of KS and this forum to wish to say something about Maasi.
It makes me feel sad, that a wonderful woman turned into a fool and a hypocrite. Result is that I have to feel disgusted with her behaviour instead of full of praise. Instead of saving the family and marriages, she has just contributed to the misery of the familymembers, Jai and Bani in the first place.

Her outburst and punishment for Jai, I can understand, especially in the light of the behaviour of Jai's father with Maasi's sister. Afterwards, when her emotions cool down a bit, she might call Jai back or forgive him, more or less.
absolutely!! it would ridiculous to say that she should not react, and I can understand that she is perhaps seeing her sister in Bani, but still, there is a limit!!
But I also feel that her behaviour is very hypocrite. Because she failed to punish Jigs and Ranveer when they more than deserved to be punished. But most of all, because she is also partially responsable for the ONS, by not intermediating between Jai and Bani when that was needed.

By not fulfilling her role as a mother, wise and soothing, she lost her right to judge!
definitely! her previous inaction and silence when she should have spoken and judged completely take away from her the right to all of a sudden become the head of the household now!
