The Hypocrisy of Massi the Great

OK, I know I have been away, and missed lots, but I think I have caught up enough to be able to say this. HOW can Massi be such a complete hypocrite?!

WHO is she to determine that the fate of JW, considering she is in part responsible for half the problems he is suffering?!! Many of us agree that had Bani not done her whole alimony drama then ONS would never have happened! OK, she had her ridiculous reasons for keeping quiet, but WHAT were Massi's reasons??

She kept quiet throughout this entire drama, even when things were sorted out she never told him the truth about the miscarriage etc, and today she decides to find her voice??

I commend her for sticking up for her bahu, I really do, but what makes me angry is her sudden decision to be the head of the household, and throw him out of the house, without even giving her Munna an opportunity to explain anything??

Where was the matriarch of the family when her own son was being lied to by his sister and nephew?

Where was his so-called mother when he was so hurt and broken by the apparent betrayal of his wife? Why didn't she set him straight then?

If she loved her Munna so much, shouldn't she know him by now? Shouldn't she know that there must be more to this than what she understands to be just a casual fling?

If she felt it right to interfere between husband and wife now then why didn't she interfere when it mattered, when she could have prevented this entire fiasco?

Regardless of whether Bani or Jai are in the right in this situation, who on earth was she to suddenly find her voice and banish him from the house and business that he built??

I used to find her just annoying - today she proved herself to be useless, hypocritical, and just downright stupid.

Like I said yesterday, Maasi's reaction is not only for what JW has done, but what his father has done.

Her recation is not to Bani or JW, but to what Bani represents. Her suffering sister and right now JW represents his father, the man who made her sister suffer.

It is the hatred she felt for JW's father that is coming out on JW, because of his actions.

I know you will say that the ONS did not happen, but that is an assuption because of now not only has JW accepted the ONS happened, but accepted the child. He has proved himself guilty.

I agree with you Farah and I have said almost the same thing in another thread. Maasi must have been a witness to what her sister went through with JW's father and it is all the buried emotions of the past that are coming out. And about the ONS he is guilty until proven innocent. If he did not remember what happened then instead of believing a person like Pia he should have asked for a DNA test. Because he did know that Pushkar spent a night with Pia in Dubai. After all he is a worldly wise man of 40+ and should know better in this respect.

I dont blame her for being mad at him.. He desrves the anger and even maybe being thrown out of the house and keeping Bani in Walia mansion but I think that doing his last rites and cursing him was too much.. he himself was so shattered couldnt she tell from what she overheard between his and Pia's conversation. She knows he loves Bani and only Bani and its quite evident that he feels nothing for Pia and it was all a Big mistake.
I think he deserved punishment but i think he was treated too harshly. I think if Bani had not been so numb with Pain she would have definately reacted and stopped Masi but unfortunately she isnt in a state to do that.

I think you are right and Massi's stand is just right. I am not sure how much Bani will stand by it though....i think she will move out of the house saying this reminds her of Jai and all that......but I would stand by Massi .... she just cannot see one more of her sister type in making.....especially when she least expected from munna who knew what his own mom had gone through !!!

How would Bani know that he loves her and not Pia ? Did he ever "Quote" it ? After all the entire family know that he loved Pia first, so if now she is bearing his child it is quite evident that first love blossomed somewhere in between.. unless told specifically from the horses mouth himself !!

You have said exactly what I have in my heart....why such a harsh punishment for Jai from Massi... it is like too little too late... she should now kick out all the other reptiles in the house... something she should have done in the cvery beginning if the house is still hers...
jai should be punished by Bani not by anyone else! He has punished himself enough already

While Masi's melodrama has justifiable roots (own sister's betrayal by hubby), it was too harsh. And right bout that Masi has in a way been instrumental in bringing bout fall of JW. Ironic considering that she was prob his greatest wellwisher.
I'm glad though that JW will be away from all the disturbing. illogical, overblown sentimental hogwash the various women in the recent history of his life have been subjecting him to & sort of emasculating him.

Heres to new beginnings!!
