Massi and the other girls are heart broken to see Bani in such a pitiful state. Rano has gone to get a twoel while Anu and Raashi go and turn off the running water and help Bani gt to her feet. Bani is still quiet and not saying anything, just looking at the walls. Rano brings a few towels and each girl takes one. Rano is wiping Banis hair while Raashi and Anu began to dry her body off. Massi had taken our something else for her to wear. With our realizing it Massi had taken out the yellow sari that Jai had picked out for Bani in Dubai . The one that Bani had chosen for Pia to wear on the day they had the pooja at he house. (when we had the beginning of JB reunion and all those great scenes) Bani still hadnt seen the sari Massi was holding. Bani was just standing in the bathroom looking lost. Massi placed the sari on a chair b4 she went into the bathroom. Massi told the girls she would be right back, and that they should get Bani changed and out of these wet clothing. Rano dosent notice the sari sitting on the chair and proceded ot get another out fit out for Bani. Rano choses one of Banis salwar kamiz. Anu and Raashi bring Bani out and they help her change in to dry clothing. They sit Bani on the bed and begin to brush her hair. Anu is brushing her hair and Raashi and Rano attend to Banis hands and wrists. There are a few cuts on her hands and wrists due to her breaking the galss bangles. They clean the cuts and apply ointment and bandaged up her both wrists.
A slight draft opens the window and causes the window sil to bang against the wall causing everyone to look in that direction, including Bani. That is when her eyes fall on the sari sitting out on the chair. Bani gets up as everyone looks at her confused. Just then Massi comes in and calls to her but Bani pays no attention to her. The four women just watch Bani make her way to the chair. Bani runs her hands over the saris soft material. Then the memories come flooding back ot her. She sees herself and Mr. Walia in the store picking out the sari, then the bedroom scene when Bani asks Pia to wear it but she refuses it with some attitude. Now Bani realizes what that attitude was for. Bani slowly takes that sari and goes to her wardrobe and opens the doors. They all watch her and ask Bani what she is doing but Bani dosent answer. Rano is about ot go to Bani but Massi holds her back telling her that Bani needs to do whatever it is she is doing, it may help her come back to reality. So they all watch on helplessly.
Bani begins taking out her clothes and jewelary one by one first slowlly then with some speed. The girls and Massi are confused at what is going on and the keep calling to Bani but they get no response. To them Bani is just pulling out clothes but to Bani each piece of clothing and jewelary ahd meaning. She has many outfits out on the floor and jewelary.
• The pink sari that Jai had asked her to wear once.
• The white sari with pink border (the June 19th sari)
• The yellow sari that she was wearing when she foun out she was going ot have his baby.
• The green and blue salwar kamiz she wore when Jai had talked to their baby.
• The red salwar kamiz she wore when she admitted her love to him on the day of ganesh pooja.
• Her red ghagra, the one she wore on Karva Chaut.
• Her bridal outfit from her wedding day.
• The red sari that he bought her from Dubai , the one Jai wanted her to wear for the beach party w/ the matching ruby set.
• The sari he had gifted her when he had taken her to the cottage (the snow and all that)
• Her two diamond necklaces were there (the one from Ranos wedding and the one from their Anniversary)
• Her kangans were lying on the floor too.
• The western dress was also there
• On top of that pile was the red sari that she wore on the day of the card party.
Seeing the red sari brought back memories to Bani. When she walked into the bedroom and found Pia in Jais arms. She had put that down to him mistaking Pia for Bani since they both wore red that day. Now Bani knew why he had wanted her to dress in that dress. He had wanted to see Pia in her, Bani just being Bani wasn't good enough. That was it. That is what did it. Bani couldn't take it any more. She began to scream at the top of her lungs, she began throwing things all over the place. Her rage was coming out. The girls and Massi trying to stop Bani. She was shattering glass all over the place.
R- Didi pleas stop, aap ko lag jayega. Didi..
Ras- Bani mami please hum hai naa aapke dukh baat ne ke liyeh.
M- Bani bete shant hojaao. Bani sunno toh…
Bani took aim for her dresser mirrior and threw a large vase at it. The vase and the mirror shattered and at the same time so did Bani. She fell to the ground and began to sob, not just cry, but cry her heart out. Massi goes to Bani and holds her.
M- Roh le bete, dil khol kaar roh le tu aaj. Tu aagar koshish bhi karega in assoon ko rokhne, toh yeh nahin rukhenge. Aaj inhe behene do.
With that Bani lets go, she lets her sorrow and anger take over her body. She weeps as if her life depended on it. She curls up into a ball and holds on to Massi. Seeing Bani like, the other girls cannot hold back their tears. They let their tears fall also. It hurts them to see Bani in such a state. Rano goes and hugs Bani as well, while Anu and Raashi hold on to each other for support.
Hearing all the commotion the guys came running (Pushy, Adi, Tarun and even Ranveer- oh and Jai). Jai was first to reach there and the scene that awaited him nearly killed him. Bani was crying her heart out, she was shattered. It looked like the only reason she was still whole was because Massi and Rano were both holding on to her, they refused to let her break anymore that she already was. Even Raashi and Anu held onto each other as if it was their sorrow as well. Seeing such devestation impacted Ranveer too. He didn't know what he felt for Raashi, he wasn't sure, but seeing her cry like this broke his heart too. From the corner of her eye, Anu sees that there is a small gathering at the door, and when she see Jai standing in the front she breaks her silence. She has a look of anger and marches straight up to Jai.
A- Kyun aaye hai aap yahaan? Aap chale jaaiyeh yahaan se, no one needs you here.
J- Anu woh Bani…
A- Nahin! Aab aapko Bani mami ke baare mein soochne ki koi zarurat nahin hai, woh haq aap kho chuke. Aap jaaiyeh naa, Pia ke paas, just get out of here.
With that she slams the door in his face. Jai turns to see if he can get some sympathy from the guys but they all look at him with disgust. He can do nothing but walk over to the railing. He slowly slides onto the floor with tears threatening to fall at any moment.
Tar- Aare yeh kya, the great Jai Walia ke aakhoon mein asson.
J- Shut up Tarun, main…main Bani ko aaise roh te hue nahin dekh sakta.
Adi- Aacha, lekin kyun…ussne toh rulayah hai tumhi ne. Usse dard diya hai tumhi ne, aab kyun bura lag raha hai.
P- Aap ko kya laga tha ke jaab Bani ko yeh baath pata chalega toh woh kuch nahin karega, aapko nahin laga ke woh tut jayega. Kya aapko laga tha ke woh uss raath ko ek ghalati samaj kar aap dono ko maaf kardegi?!
Tar- Bani ke aakhoon se jo assoon nikal rahi hai, uss hare k asoon paar tumhara naam lika hai. Usse rulaya hai tume, usse maar daala hai tumne, uski zindagi tumne barbad kiya hai.
With that they all leave with Jai still sitting on the floor. Now his tears know no boundary. They to fall like rain. He knows that what they all said is true. He is the one that put tears in the eyes of the woman who always put smiles on his face. He shattered the world of the woman who had made him see how beautiful the world really was. He took the life of the woman that taught him the meaning of life. He broke the heart of the woman that showed him he too had a heart and could love….it was all his doing. He himself destroyed the life of the woman that ment more to him than anything in this world…..
