As their eyes lock for the first time, Binita feels this sudden urge to go and hold on to Mr. Walia as if it were for her dear life…she did not understand what got into her…she could not break that contact…despite her attempts…what are you doing girl….that too right here in front of your husband and your child…she was unable to understand this errant behavior of her heart and body

As Jai saw Bani quietly walking into the room, so as to not disturb anyone, he was shocked, he for sure did not hear anything Tarun said since he saw Bani…or was Tarun even talking anymore…his brain had suddenly seized to function…all it registered was what his eyes saw…the one face that haunted him for the last 20 months….the face he had been desperately looking for in his every waking moment…the eyes he had hoped to look at once before he died…correction…the eyes that would bring him back from the death he was suffering so far…she was right here…in front of him…within an arms length…and then he noticed… the vermillion on her forehead…the mangalsutra around her neck…they were there but not for him…they were there for his best friend…as soon as this registered he broke the eye contact…even though doing so killed him a million deaths.

All this while, Tarun stood there, taking in the scene unfolding in front of his eyes…did Binita hear his monologue to Jai…did she know now??? He couldn't take the silence around him anymore and decided to butt in as soon as he noticed that the eye contact between the two was broken
"Arre Binita…tum kab aayi…hum to bas purani yaadein taza kar rahe the…"

"Tarun…who..woh…mein bas abhi abhi aayi…tum Mr. Walia se kuch lautane ki baat kar rahe the tab…waise Mr. Walia…aap ki tabiyat kaisi hai abb…I hope you are feeling better now since these two have been bothering you for a while now… Tarun I think we should let him rest now…right?"

"I am feeling much better now, Ba Binita. And don't worry…I am doing very well and they were not a bother at all. In fact, little Krish here was the perfect pick-me-up I needed after all this time. How have you been all this while, well I hope?" Only Tarun could catch the undertone of Jai's words (I am sure all you readers do too…after all you are all the smartest folks I know). But somehow, they did not bother him as much as he always thought it would… he knew he loved Bani a lot and the day, if it ever came, Bani were to come face to face with Jai and if, God forbid, they were to reunite would mean the end of his world…but he surprisingly did not feel that today…I need to sort this out later he told himself.

"I am doing well Mr. Walia. Thank you for asking. Tarun…I just stopped by to let you know that Sahil Maasi ko lene station ja raha hai. Oopps I wasn't supposed to say that in front of Mr. Walia. It was a surprise you see. Anyways, Rano and I are also joining him on his way out, we thought we will stop by Simran's later and bring her over for dinner. Since you have been babysitting for so long, I figured I could take Krish out with me…it will be a nice outing for him too…right mera bacha?"

"Nahi Binita…let Krish be here…like I said… I like having him around…he is a very pleasant companion as opposed to the grumpy nurse" Jai answered as he scooped little Krish up in his arms. He could not resist answering to Bani even though his mind told him that he was trespassing.

"Tarun…do you mind? I will take him down now and make sure he is fed and changed before I leave. That way you guys will not have to bother much. I will bring him back in sometime." She held her hands in front of Jai so as to take Krish from him.

But Jai was not yet willing to let go of the kid…he had already lost his wife to his friend…but he wasn't willing to let go of his child yet…not just yet…

"Binita…if you don't mind…just give us all the things…I would love to take care of Krish for today…only if you guys do not mind it…that is"

Binita looked at Tarun at this point to get an idea of what he felt about this suggestion. She knew Tarun was capable of taking care of Krish by himself, but she did not wish to impose on Mr. Walia. Tarun's response was just a reassuring nod.

"That's done then…I will take your leave Mr. Walia, Tarun. We should be back soon. I will drop Krish's stuff before I leave. Thank you Mr. Walia for your offer." Jai barely heard this. He was still trying to get over the easy camaraderie shared by his ex-wife and Tarun. He felt a stab in his heart when he saw how they communicated with each other without words…just like they did once...he thought…

Rivs...I like the way you are slowly taking us towards the time when Binita/Bani will be told the truth and at that point Im going to really feel for Bani as her one solid support Tarun will be shown up as one who deceived her and then when she finally remembers.....aaah that is going to be something and then Jai and his having his life in front of him ..all at ease with another man...he is going to be so jealous and Krish....I simply love what you are writing..Thanks for this update for a lovely start to the new year

hey swati...thanks you..it is you guys who inspire me to write...truly...Jai will have to win Bani's heart...there is no two ways about it... I am not too sure if I want Tarun to tell everything to Binita just yet...since she may trust Tarun up until now but once Tarun tells her everything...she may lose her trust and feel betrayed by Tarun... I want to wait till Bani remembers some more of her past...hopefully Masi will help with this...

Once that happens Tarun and Jai can both play their cards and may the best man win...

Thanks mandu...m glad to find you respond to every update...it turly helps to see how you guys interpret my writing... As for Tarun having deceived Bani...I would not say he did anything like that...there were two things that made him do that...his attraction for Bani, Bani promise of not letting Jai know and mostly protecting Bani from further heart break...okay so that was three... the point now is will Jai and Bani understand this? If Bani regains full memory and still retains her memory of the time spent with Tarun she may feel differently...but I have not yet penned my thoughts so dont know what will happen...

Jai needs to feel jealous a little right...I mean he will know the truth from Tarun in sometime...but still a little jealousy will go a long way...anyways...enough of my ramblings...as it is you read a lot of it in the ff....

Thanks Jigna...dont feel sorry for Jai...not just yet...I mean he is back to his ruthless self... so we will have to make him suffer just a little more...if I can make myself to do that...and dont worry I will try to make the reunion as painless as possible...and please please do not cry...luv rivsb

yeah, i think your right. Jai needs to still suffer and feels guilty and sorry to watch what could be his own life with bani and krish in front of him. It would be very easy if bani backs to him right now. But she has lost her memory so she can't remenber the pain she has endured cause of him. so let's him suffer even if i'm sad for him he deserves it. I love this part and the way jai wanted be with krish at any costs it was so cute and so sad 😭 😭
I hope you will update soon and plz let me now when you'll update thanks 😉

when I talked abt tarun deceiving...I meant the kneejerk reaction that bani will have first off and then as you said will remember her later relationship with him...but 1st off even though she wanted him to not let jai know and all..her 1st sense will be betrayal...i mean that is what Im guessing...

and where Jai is concerned....yes he is going to be pretty burned up...and that will make for some misunderstandings before all is well I guess😆

Its fun to toss ideas about what is my guess about where you are going to take us...Im happy if im somewhat close and even happier when Im totally off base
