Part 6(a)

Back in Ooty, Bani is walking around in a park cum garden. She sees a child in the playground crying loudly, rubbing his eyes and a fallen ice cream on the ground beside him. She looks around, no one seems to be coming forward to comfort the child so she decides to walk over to him.
Bani: arre beta, kiyu roh rahe ho? Ice-cream ghir gayi kiya? Koi problem nahin, hum dusri lehlenge? Chalo, aasoon pauncho, ache bete nahin rohte.
She wipes his tears off with her dupatta.
Boy: The big boys pushed me, I wanted to play on the see-saw (pointing to the see-saw behind him)
Bani: Toh yeh baath hai. Acha chalo, mein aapse khelungi. Pehle yeh to batao ke aapka naam kiya hai?
Boy: Rahul, Rahul Mathur. and I am four year old. Tum kaun ho?
Bani: Mera naam Bani hain. and i am 24. Kiya aap mujhse dosti karoge?
Rahul and bani shake hands. They sit on the see-saw and play for a while.
bani: chalo hum ice-cream khatayhe.
Bani and rahul walk towards the ice-cream vendor.
Bani: Rahul, tumare mummy papa nahin dikhtey hai? aap akele ho kiya?
Rahul pointed to a tall figure sitting on a bench at the side of the playground.
R: Woh raha mera papa.
Bani's anger flared. What kind of a father is this. Here his child was crying and being so close he did nothing. Well I am going to have a word with him.
Bani: Chalo, hum tumare papa se milna chahatey hai.
They walk over to him. Rahul is busy liking his ice cream and lets bani talk to his papa.
B: Mr. mathur, kaise baap hai aap. Yaho beta roh raha hai aur aapko unke koi parva nahin.
No response from the chap. Bani starts waving her hand in front of him and says Hey mister mein aapse baath kar rahi hu.
Bani to Rahul: tumara baap aandha aur behra bhi hai kiya?
Rahul just laughs "nahin toh" and continue licking his ice-cream.
Bani puts her hand on his shoulder and shakes him to wake him up. He snaps out of his trance and stares at Bani intensely.
Bani feels uncomfortable. Turns to rahul
B: Yeh tere papa ko kiya ho gaya hai? aise ghur ghur ke mujhe kiyu dekh raha hai?
R: Maloom nahin. Shayad woh aapko pasand karta hai?
Bani freezes for a moment and she and rahul exchange a wink.
Rahul goes to his father and kisses him on the cheek. Father regains his senses and hugs rahul.
Father: Hi, I am Aaman, aaman mathur.
Extends his hand out to bani.

Right now this part may make no sense but it will all come together and lots of patience required. Thank you for reading

please you have to continue . You write with so much emotion, lets show jai that Bani is beautiful and attractive to other men. I hope this guys is jai's business rival and he (aaman showers bani with attention) 😉 I would lvoe to see Jai really jealous. 😃

Part 6 (b)

Bani has been spending quality time with Rahul. She found out that Rahul's mother passed away when he was a year old. He is close to his dada, dadi who are away at kashi for a yatra and would be returning by the end of the week. Papa was his mama too. Many times when she met aaman she would find him lost in his thoughts with tears in his eyes. She sensed he must be lost in the thoughts of his late wife. She couldn't understand why but seeing him in that state, stirred emotions in her. Perhaps two hurt souls seeking solace in each other strike a chord of friendship. She would go sit with him with Rahul on her lap and place her hand on his to give reassurance , if you need a friend you can count on me. She never spoke about Jai to him. No matter how much she hated him at the moment, she still loved him and could never disgrace his character in front of anyone even though she had lost respect for the man.
Sometimes when aaman had to go away overnight on business, she kept rahul over at her place. Spending moments with Rahul made her forget her own problems. Without realizing it, rahul had become an integral part of her. The love she thought she didn't deserve was coming to her in the form of this child. So innocent and so pure.
When dada and dadi returned, they welcome her into their lives without hesitation, full of love. God had placed Bani into the healing hands of love.
One day, on dada and dadi's insistence, Bani and Aaman went to watch a movie. They were watching Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna. Bani became very emotional during the movie and was sobbing profusely. Aaman sensed her emotional disturbance.
A: Bani, would you like to leave?
Bani just looked at him. Reading those eyes, he understood. Held her hand and lead her out of the dark theatre. They walked in silence and she was trying her best to control her tears. They came to the park sat down on the bench under the star spangled night. He put his hand on hers just like she did for him. Bani broke down and they talked and talked. Sorrow of the past shared. A heavy burden lifted. Their friendship blossomed.

Part 7(a)

Tarun comes to ooty. He and Bani are discussing Bernali's financing of the shares under Saahil. Tarun was having trouble with third-party financing . None of them were aware that Aaman had been listening to their conversation. Actually, he had sneaked in from the kitchen entrance to leave a surprise cake for Bani to prove he baked good cakes. Heard some voices in the living area and couldn't tear himself away (he's got a bit of bani's jhasoosi habit). After listening fora good bit, he made his exit. Curious to know who she was talking to, he called her to announce that he would be coming over to visit her with a cake for tea-time with Rahul in tow.
Doorbell rings. Bani answers. Gives a peck on Aaman's cheek and vice-versa. Carries Rahul into her arms and smothers him with kisses. Tarun was watching this from the doorway of his study and doesn't fancy the peck on the cheek part. He comes forward.
bani: Tarun, meet Aaman Mathur and his son Rahul. Aaman this is Tarun Sablok. A good friend and owner of this cottage.
They shook hands. Tarun gives him a good lookover. Tall, fair, dark brown hair, chiseled features, deep set eyes, with a good physique to go along (imagine Akshay kumar, I like him). Tarun feels a tad bit insecure (someone is jealous). Tarun could imagine a million girls swooning over him.
Tarun's phone rang, he had to attend to some conference call and excused himself to his study.
Bani, Aaman and Rahul sat themselves out in the patio having cake and tea.
B: Aaman , this cake is superb. Where did you learn to make this?
A: Had a girlfriend once and the way to win her was through her stomach. So , I picked up a few tricks of the trade.
B: What happened to her?
A: Ran off with a chef (ok, lame joke).
Rahul went to play on the swing, leaving Aaman and Bani alone together.
A: Bani, mein kuch baath kaho tum please suno, bura mat mano.
A: In these few days , we have gotten to know one another pretty well. We share this special friendship, understanding and concern. Its amazing that all this happened in this short span of time. Its like it was meant to be. Destiny for us to meet. Rahul has taken a great liking to you. He looks forward to being with you. You fill that void in his life of not havin a mother.
B: I feel the same way too and Rahul is such an adorable child, I can't help but to love him.
A: Bani, I overheard your conversation with Tarun saab earlier. Believe me it was by accident. I don't mean to pry into your life. I have an offer. Please consider it.
A: I will give you the money you need, about 200 million rupees ( I am just guessing here) to buy the shares you want. But I have some conditions.
Bani is dumbstruck. She wondered how he could have that much money with him. They seemed like simple average middle class family.
A: There are two conditions. Firstly, the shares are in both our names. Secondly, we live with us in Germany.
B: Germany?
A: Yes. We are from Germany. We are here on a holiday. Our business is there. We are in the steel business (the mathurs are steel magnates).. I don't expect any answer now. Just promise me that you will consider my proposal.
Just then Tarun comes to join them. Aaman gets up, calls Rahul and they leave. Bani is in a daze digesting what she had just heard, too shocked to notice the happening around her.
