Hello guys! Im patting and hugging my adorable little doggy toy and thinking nostalgically about the 10 years ive been in Singapore and feeling very sad rite now since we're moving at the end of this year so BOO HOO im super depressed. Even the doggy looks sad….his name's latte since I was drinking a yummy caramel latte when I bought him. And hes cream too! Lol how I love my latte(:

Ok so my post may not be up to standard.

chapter 22
Jai and bani walked out alone onto the beach, and they kept walking until the point where the beach house was but a speck on the horizon when they looked back. All this time, nothing at all was said between them, there was just a comfortable silence as they held hands and watched the sand carrass their feet as they walked on.

The wind whipped bani's hair around, and she enjoyed the sensation, tipping her head up to allow the wind to do as it wished. As she looked up, she saw the sky dotted with so many stars that she soon found herself lost in the sight she was seeing. She looked up and took in the breathtaking beauty, and as she did, she slowly came to a stop. As she looked at jai, she began to sing slowly…..

Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do,
Yeah they were all yellow,

Her hair tickled jai as it got into his neck but he enjoyed the sensation. Surprised by her sudden, quiet serenade, he sang along too, knowing the lyrics to her favourite song. He looked down upon her and met her eyes.

I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow

Bani continued the song as she gazed up at her husband, and saw how his eyes too sparkled like the stars above them. Oh those eyes, she could lose herself in them anyday, and she would do it willingly….. she sung the song with all her heart, meaning every word as she voiced it. After all, it was her favourite song, the one she had fantasized about since she was young, and now that she had the one person she could sing it to and truly mean it, she meant to take that chance and let him know how she felt.

So then I took my turn

And it was all yellow

Jai took her hand and they both sat upon the sand, leaning upon each other as they watched the ocean from their perch high up on the beach. He continued singing the song, and he turned his gaze from the waves to his beautiful wife, wanting to impress upon her that he felt every word that he voiced.

Cause you were all yellow

She looked deep into his eyes, and cupped his face in her hands as she sang on. She thought of all the times she distanced herself from him, and thought, how apt this song is for us….

And it was all yellow

And he looked with equal intensity into her eyes as well, and she felt bare and exposed as he looked into her through her glistening eyes that were now moist with tears. He moved even closer to her face, and his voice decended into a whisper as he sand the last verse of the song…..

And just as he finished the last line of the song, he leaned over and kissed her tears away.

Its true look how they shine for you

They sat there, looking at the stars for the longest time. They lay on the sand with their eyes only for each other and the sky, and as they gazed upon the stars they spoke about everything that was troubling them at that moment.

As they spoke, they found suddenly that all their worries evaporated, for they had shared them with their better halves. They looked at each other once more, and bani made herself comfortable on jai's arm. They fell asleep right there, gazing at both each other and the stars that loomed above them.

little did they know, the stars that they so fondly gazed at had a treacherous and painful journey ahead of them, and their life, rhea, was the one to bear the brunt of this fate thrust to them by the stars splayed across the sky ……
