the next part is nice, nth abt rhea yet. the next next part shall also be nice, and it shall be about them on the beach too! YAY!
so here goes!
chapter 21
They piled into the black jaguar, that had become more of a family car then a sports car in the past few years, and rhea took her usual seat up front next to her daddy, who was driving.
Jai was worried sick, she could tell from his expressions. But he put on a brave front, and decided for once to put his worry aside and have a good time with his family. After all, rhea must not feel the tense atmosphere, he reasoned, as he stepped on the accelerator and drove to juhu.
On the way to their beach house, rhea played peek-a-boo with ray, much to her father's distress. "put on your seatbelt, rhea, its not safe!" he nagged, as rhea leaned over to the backseat to make ray giggle, but his warnings fell to deaf ears, or rather, ears that preferred to hear ray's laughter.
Finally, they reached the beach house, which was all set for their arrival. Jai had ensured that there were adequate supplies and that the house was cleaned before they arrived by calling their caretaker and butler ahead of their arrival. He had sent Tony over to the beach house to supervise the cleaning, and as they arrived, he opened the front door to welcome them in.
"oh my, jai, I didn't know you called ahead to prepare the house!" said bani, as she let ray down to run freely and play with his tony chachu.
"anyways, with sahil and rano staying overnight at the resort in goa, and with dadi, massi, adi and jigyasa away on their world tour, tony didn't have anything to do at home! So I asked him to come over and help us out." Said jai, taking bani by the hip and guiding her up the stairs to their bedroom, where they could change and then go out into the beach.
After they had all changed into casual Bermudas and T shirts, they went downstairs together. Bani gathered an adorable looking ray into her arms, and squealed at his cute outfit that was a perfect miniature of what jai was wearing, down to the Tommy Hilfiger sunglasses, courtesy of Tony.
They ensured that the children were fed and then they took off to the beach, where the sun was just beginning to set.

"mmm….the sand feels so nice in between my toes!" said bani as she playfully kicked some sand around. Rhea was running ahead in the distance and ray was balanced on his fathers' shoulders.
It takes an egg to make a hen

Bani held jai's hand and they both walked slowly behind rhea, following her footsteps that were etched in the sand.
It takes a thought to make a word
And it takes some words to make an action

It takes some bad for satisfaction
As they walked, bani looked at her husband's silloutte against the setting sky. It may have looked rather funny to anyone else, since it looked like he had two heads as ray was still sitting on his shoulders. But to bani, it looked simply beautiful. Jai was pretty good looking, given, but somehow, this side of him was so clearly what he truly was. He was never as happy as he was with his children, they made him whole. As bani looked upon him, she thought of how wonderful life was, and how blessed she was.
Before they knew it, night had fallen, and they walked back to the beach house to put their children to bed, before they set out again, for a more solitary walk. They set out in silence, with their hands entwined, and bani was lost in thought as she walked barefoot with her husband just as lost as she was.

She thought of how blessed she was to be with jai again, and how despite all the troubles they had faced they finally found happiness. She thought about how her life had been a minefield of disaster after disaster, and how, finally, all that seemed to have stopped. She could stop being so protective of all that she owned. She need not be so afraid any longer
And it takes no time to fall in love
But it takes you years to know what love is

It was true, she was in love. As she looked at the man that she trusted most in the world, and saw his bro creased with worry, she reached her hand up and silently caressed his forehead, making his wrinkled brow smooth and his face change from a frown into a relaxed smile as he too silently watched his wife.
It takes some silence to make sound
And it takes a loss before you found it
And it takes a road to go nowhere
It takes a toll to make you care
It takes a hole to make a mountain
Life was a balance, she thought, as she silently led him to the water's edge so that they could wet their feet . As they wet their toes and looked into each others eyes, bani truly felt the essence of life. It was right there. In his eyes. This was life, more then anything else.
