Jai had noticed that the following week Bani hadn't come to work…..he usually didn't give a damn but for some reason he wanted to know more…days turned into 2 weeks
Coming early one day after his normal day with the lawyers ……who were working on the acquisition of the land……he came up to front desk to see if he had any messages and found kavita the girl who was with Bani the other night…kavita being a loud mouth was also a good friend of Bani
Jai: hi….penthouse…any messages???
Kavita: delighted to serve such a hunk…oh yes certainly sir..one moment
Taking the messages and handing it to him….
Jai: waiting….aapki dost aaj kaal kaam par nahi hai….chuti mana rahi hai

Jai met up with Kavita in exactly 15 minutes…..he could see how excited she was but somehow it didn't appeal to him…the woman he wanted didn't even give him second glance….why was she so different…what was it about me that didn't appeal to her….this was very hard for the great Jai Walia to adjust
Jai: so Miss Kavita…tell me more about this friend of urs what's her name…oh yeah Bani….why isn't she at work..and what is this u are saying that she couldn't leave the job even if she wanted to…
Kavita at first shocked that this was about Bani …bit upset yet she went on….afterall Bani still did cover up for her on so many occasions…she owed her that much atleast…..
Kavita: bhouth hi sad story hai uski sir…she used to come from a weathly family until her parents passed away in a tragic accident…kuch log toh kehte hai ke uske chacha neh jaan buj kar yeh accident karwai thi…daulat ke liye…
Bani was only16 at that time and her sisters 15 and 13…were put under the custody of their step uncle and aunty (chacha chachi)…… until they turned 18 and inherited their share of the property and could do whatever they wished….she went on how Bani had turned 18 and her chacha threatening her on her sisters lives took it all and than he did the same with Pia's and waiting for Rano to turn 18 so that they could do that again…and than he probably wil leave the sisters on the streets to suffer…..she went on how they make Bani work so that she pays for everything and if Bani wants Pia and Rano to go to school and all she had to do whatever they wanted…….she went on how Bani would always work late nights and than the next mrng do all the house work so that she could make a future for her sisters…..
Than she went on…..paar last week jaab raath ko woh ghar nahi pouchi toh uski chachi ne choti bhen ko bahar raath bhar rhaka wait karne ko….phir baadh meh pata chala ke Bani toh raath ke 1 am nikal gai thi aur sune meh phir aya ke woh apne kisis ashiq ke saath sari raath thi..hotel ke maids neh suna…..i don't think its true but someone saw her leave early mrng that's why….hearing that Jai eyes lift up….knowing well who the ashiq was only difference was nothing happened…..Kavita continued…sunme aya ke her aunty treated her pretty bad and said real nasty stuffs to her….guess all the pressure and tension got to Bani…and she got really sick and is at home ….she is not on any holiday sir but on sick leave….i went to see her last weekend par woh rest karne ke jaga ghar meh khana banarahi thi…….pura area meh uski chachi neh usko badnam kiya hai….sirf apne bhen ke waje se woh shayad us gharme hai
Kavita: Bani is the only person I have seen who is always smiling and if u look at her u can never tell what she goes through everyday……patani woh kaun manhus tha joh pyar toh karta hai magar samne aatah nahi…coz everyone knows Bani she would never in her straight mind do anything so low….she is way too good to fall for all that…..it must be love warna woh chup chap sub sunti kiu ???...i tell you If I ciould get my hands on that guy I would bury him in thick eyes with no clothes…..continued Kavita…..she had finished her coffee and wasn't feeling all that great after thinking and talking of Bani…..
Kavita: ab meh chalti hu…..i don't know aapne itna kuch kiu poocha but I hope u can make a difference in her life….see you I have to go
Jai felt pretty crappy…nothing affected him this much….ever…nor did he ever have the will to ever enquire the consequences of his actions ever….ususally he would take things from those that don't deserve it …all those woman who came to him for his looks or wealth or those business delegates who only t hought of profits….but this time this time…he robbed of the innocence of this simple yet innocent girl……his masi's words faintly registered in his head…"munna agar kisi aise ko duk do joh layak hi na ho to koi gal nahi magar agar kisi dhuki insaan koh dard do ge toh upar wala bhi marf nahi karta…"..yaad rhakna….
Jai had to do something…..after all no matter what the public registered as his character …he did have a good piece in his heart somewhere…and this girl was bringing the evil as well as the good Jai Walia out of him…..
Jai took Bani's address before Kavita left…Jai didn't know why he had this urge to see Bani..to make sure she was alright…and to make things right….afteral it was his fault to some extent …in one way he did lie to her and not tell her anything….and he also realized that Bani was so different from all those girls out there ….girls would do anything for fame…money or pleasure…but Bani was different…how could a person endure so much in life and yet go one smiling…. he had to clear her name from this mess…..
A week has passed and Bani didn't show up at work still…so Jai decided to go see for himself…..
The doorbell rang….Rano looked up…aareh yeh log shadi se jaldi agaye….Pia came running…hello duffer bell nahi suna diya…kya aaj phir di ko daath khwana hai…yelled Pia…going to open the door….
Bani was in her room trying to sleep…oh God she thought….it had been 3 weeks and this cough and cold werent leaving her….after that horrible encounter with that horrible man her whole world had turned upside down…..waise hi kuch acha nahi tha now things had gotten more worse….thank God atleast she got paid sick leave …and all that over time work helped a lot this past weeks……her chachi didn't leave one moment on cursing her for that whole night she didn't come home…..and calling her God knows what all…
Jai was outside hearing commotions inside the house…..not as big as Jai Walia's but it was huge…he could read on the door Dixit ….hmm they seem to come from a wealthy family
Pia opened the door…..: wow kitna handsome hai…yes how can I help you..she smiled..all drooling at the door step…straightening her hair…
Jai noticed a pretty young girl…somewhat like Bani but more fashionable than Bani…..and behind was another version of Bani but more slim and in goggles…or rather glasses…..he smiled to himself……….. must be her sisters…all were very pretty in their own ways…
Jai thought…see that what im saying…even this girl fell on his charms….only if ur sister thought as much….
Pia continued to stare at this God who had come on their door stop when Rano came from the back and hit her on her side…kya kar rahi ho…..stupid !!!!
Rano: yes aap kaun…kise milna hai..chacha chachi nahi hai…..kaal ayege…straightening her glasses to the centre of her nose….
Jai smiled…this one was a bit gussa kind but very cute with her glasses….she reminded him of Sahil…his nephew….hmm they would make great enemies…he thought……
Jai: hi …im Jai Walia…meh Bani se milne aya hu…Im from her hotel…a bit hesitant he continued…didn't want to tell who he was incase they already had known….
Pia: looked at him…Di neh kabhi koi Jai Walia ki zikar nahi ki…..very nicely she let him in…Di bemaar hai…aur araam karahi hai
Jai: yeah I know ..i came to enquire about her as she has been sick for awhile…
Pia nudged Rano and she went in and got a cup of tea while Pia continued….jee woh abhi bhi kuch achi nahi hai…..doctor ne aur dawa di hai….so she is resting…aap rukiye meh bulati hi Di ko
Jai: thanks….really appreciate it…he knew Pia was checking him out….when she left he turned to Rano

Bani getting up and getting her dupata…..: kya kherahi ho Pia…feeling a bit faint she made her way down and saw the back of a guy from upstairs…..hope his not our manger she thought..checking up to see me jhut toh nahi bol rahi hu
Bani: yes im Bani…aap k…before she could finish!!!
Jai turned to find a fragile Bani infront of him…black circles under the eye…..lost look and was coughing …..
Bani: tum….she was so mad …tum yaha kya kar rahe ho…she was red seething in anger and looks like pain….
Bani: Pia rano tum log kya kabhi check nahi karte…kisi ko bhi ane dete ho ghar me…she scolded Rano and Pia….both looking lost

Bani: looking at Jai…get out …get out of our house at once…she was shouting and started to cough really bad….Jai went ot her and held her telling Pia…Pani lekar ao
Jai felt so bad…..this is all my fault…..he thought…im so sorry but he didn't have the nerve to say it….shit how did I do this…as he felt a delicate Bani…oh man..he had never felt so bad…he had mis treated so many woman and never once felt bad but he knew she was different…why does an innocent girl have to suffer so much…it was not fair…he put her on the sofa….

Just than her chacha and chachi walked in….
Chachi: haa meh kehrahi thi ke…to her husband when she spotted Bani in Jai's arms and Pi and Rano next to them…..toh yeh saab aab ho raha hai..kiu re kya soch ke rhaka hai tum teeno ne is ghar ko….
She started yelling on how the three sisters were dropping to such low levels and now they were doing all this in their house……
Bani: getting up…movin …she was realy weak and shouldn't be even standing….chachi woh…meh …holding her head…suddenly everything was so black and Bani felt so loose…so loose that she felt like jelly and collapsed on the floor….
Pia Rano and Jai ran to her..Jai picking her up and putting her on the sofa where he was seated…..
Pia: chachi would u just keep quiet…aap jaisa soch rahi ho waisa nahi hai
Chachi: chup kalmuhi…ma baap ko khagai ha tum teen aab hame bhi kahana chati ho….
Pia n Rano started to cry and Bani was faint in Jai's arms…
Jai: hello I am Mr Jai Walia….straightening Bani and getting up …..

Before he could continue the aunt started yelling and saying oh u are the family disgracer and what not…tumne is ghar ko badam ki hai…and what not…
Chachi: kya mila tumhe hamar ghar ki beti ko badnam kar ke…
Jai: aisa kuch nahi hai..kuch bhi nahi hua tha…he tried to explain
Chachi: thumare baato se logo ke mu nahi band honewali….hamari bachi (yeah right) ki izzat nahi wapas anewali…..
Jai: paar aap meri…dammit if he only could shut her up….listen woman nothing happened and Bani is innocent so please ..meh yaha sirf yeh kehne ayah u ke she is innocent and I was here to see how she is
Chachi: ha ha hamare ghar ke ladki ko badnam karke tumhe kya….all the neighbourhood ladies were there now listening to this
Pia and Rano were crying: aab didi ka kya hoga
Jai heard this and didn't know what to do…shit how did I ever get in this mess and
Chachi: kiu kya hua..chup kiu hogaye…agar kuch nahi kiya hai…toh sari raath tum kya tare gin rahe the…….agar itna hi paak hai Bani toh shadi kiu nahi karte usse….kiu karoge shadi….kiu ki wahi ek raasta hai jaha bani ko badnami se bacha sakti hai….knowing very well that he will not..Chachi was just trying to embarrass them more….more reason to throw them out once the youngest turned 18…..which was only a month away…
Jai was stunned….he couldn't believe what he heard just now…..hwo did he get into this mess….he didn't love Bani how could he marry her…but she got into this mess because of u Jai …he thought…and than if u leave what happens to her and her sisters….he was attracted to her yes…he was …but marriage…..????
He looked at Bani and her state…shadi….meh aur Bani se…..Bani was unconscious not knowing what was happening around her…Pia and Rano crying…!!!..jai was a man caught on the fence….aab kya karoge Jai Walia…the great man who made business decisions on an impulse…what happens when it comes to making the biggest decision of his life…!!
