PART 8:

Bani arrived at the mandir in tears...she couldn't hold her emotions inside her anymore....she needed to find solace and knew of no better place than the mandir....

She walked up the steps and rang the bell....she quietly walked forwards towards the Krishna-ji Murti and sank down on her knees....there she knelt crying out all her pain....

The Pujari came out when he heard the pain-filled sobs....he walked up to the broken-down young women and placed his hand over her head....

"Beti?...Lagta hai ke tumare dil mein bohoth dard hai?"

Bani looked up at the Pundij..."Ji Pujari Ji....aaj maine apna ghar chorra hai aur aajse meri nahin zindagi shuroo hone jaa rahi hai....bas yaha pe apne dukh ko chorne aayi thi....yaha per main inka ashirvad lehne aaye thi..."

The pujari looked into her tear-filled eyes and blessed her..

"Zaroor Lehna...aur dekhna ke yeh tumhe hamesha sahi raaste per lehker jayenge tumari asli manzil ke pas...lehkin behti...tum is waqt kaha...?"

"Pata nahi....abhi to yaha rehne ke soch rahi thi..."

"Teekh hai....lehkin tumhe yaha per kal ke baad hi jaana hoga...kal per yaha puja hai aur agar tum oos puja ka hisa bano toh tumhe tumara ashirwad naseeb ho ga..."

"Ji Pujari ji..."

Bani spent the next day helping the pujari prepare for the puja that was to take place later that day...

she hoped that today Bhagwan would answer her prayers...her questions...show her the way....

.....

The Puja started in the early hours of the evening...and so many people had travelled to pay their respects and participate in the prayers....

Bani was standing in the front singing her prayers with the congregation....conducting the arti.....her heart began to race....she began to feel restless...she didn't understand why...she looked about her....but no answer came....them she saw him....he walked through the crowd determindly....his face...anguished yet purposeful?....she looked back towards Lord Krishna....thinking that this was just her imagination...it couldn't be him....could it?...

Jai reached the Mandir and saw masses of people milling around....he knew Bani was here....he could feel her...sense her...something was drawing him towards the front of the mandir....he didn't understand what it was...but he couldn't resist....

He walked briskly up the stairs...pushed through the crowds....he had to get to the front....his heart beat faster with each step...just a bit more....

Then he saw her...standing there....she was in her churidar pyjama suit....since before they had been married...he walked faster....why was she dressed like that?....he knew the answer....she had broken all ties with him....she had mentioned divorce in the letter...she had left his kangan.......she had left her manglesutra at the mandir at home....he hadn't known until Rano had come after him outside the house and gave it to him.......

She had really left him.....the despair....but now...now she was here....in front of him.....

jai you fool 😡 go and fill her maang with the sinndoor 😭
