When you fall in lust...

Ok, so far, this serial has been about falling in lust. Pia and her Pusky... Jai and Pia... Rosh is in lust with money... there is no real love. And Jai and Bani cannot be in love because love is not about just making the other person happy... its about being happy in love as well. Its not supposed to be unrequited... or be a darn torture. These characters, and sadly the audience as well, are gluttonous for punishments and half baked love/lust stories. And its sad when the female character like Bani will settle for crumbs... be the satti savrati... and be liked by everyone (audience) for those "qualities". How about a back bone woman?! Ok, end of my rant. I do like the show but these things were just grating on my nerves today.

Shaista, you bring up a very good point. I am not sure why everyone likes these kind of romance stories. I remember that once there was a question about which sister's story you would pick, and many people picked Bani's kahanii with Jai. I just could not help but wonder why. Jai is very domineering and stubborn whereas Bani is very docile. Plus, Bani has to go through Agni Pariksha everyday because of all the stupid characters surrounding her. So, yes, I completely agree. Love isn't supposed to be torture. In fact, it should be the one emotion in your life that brings a smile on your face even when everything else is falling apart. But in Bani's case, it seems like love is the reason that her life is falling apart.

Nontheless, it is fun watching two characters supposedly "falling in love!"

I totally agree with you guys. And it is the first time anyone has come up with this view point.I am very much against Bani being shown as a scrificial lamb.This is her time to be assertive and lay down the rule...Have pia solve her own crisis..Also what is with Jai being confused....it does not sound right on a 40 year old man...

Soap operas basically dont have any touch wid the reality. 😆 On a serious note they gotta show momentum in shows! They cannot show two people in love and make hundreds of episodes on it. And they have the job of comming up with the most absurd things on earth so that people see something that they dont see in ordinary circumstances. Soaps REALLY are the last place to to talk about real and meaningful relationships.

Very well said Shaista and dhoopkinarey. Down the road if the story follows the original book where Jai and Pia are involved and she gets pregnant and Bani ends up raising that child - that would be the ultimate emotional torture for Bani to suffer. That would be plain disgusting.

If the story goes down that line I am going to stop watching. I hope the directors have changed the original storyline. I just cannot tolerate everyone enabling Pia in her self centered ways.

guys...i havent read the book....but read a gist of it in one of these topics.
seems that as per the book pia is to get married to the rich guy and bani to her love. though here bani gets married to jai. maybe the serial ppl have "actually" changed the story by getting bani pregnant and not pia. i hope this happens.

I am definitely going to stop watching the show if they shoe pia and jai involved in a love relationship
