Part V (concluding part of fanfiction)

By now Jai has gotten ready and is preparing to leave for office, just as he was about to go, Bani called him and asked him to at least have breakfast but he made up a excuse that he's getting late and that he'll have something over there only. Though Bani knew that he was just trying to avoid Pia at the table, she felt sad but nevertheless smiled as he left.

Jai reached office and all the way was thinking of all of the things that have happened during that past couple of months. He was sitting in his cabin and still his mind was pondering over the past incidents right from Bani, Pia and Rano coming to Walia mansion, to his liking of Pia and her betrayal, His wedding with Bani and how he blamed Bani for what Pia did with him and thinking of fact that Bani forgave him and accepted him softened his heart and brought tears in his eyes. Suddenly his sight went to Bani's photo which he had kept on his table, he lifted it and brought it close to him, he was gazing at the photo as if Bani was there in front of him, he swiftly came back to his senses with the phone ring. He picked up the phone and to his surprise it was

Bani " Hello"

Jai " Bani"

Bani " Haan, woh, apne kuch khaya?"

Jai " Haan, actually nahi abhi tak nahi khaya, tumne kuch khaya ya nahi?"

Bani "Nahi, woh maine socha ki pehle aapse baat karlu phir khaungi."

Jai " Yeh, tumne aacha nahi kiya, mujhe tumse aise umeed nahi thi."

Bani "Kyun, maine aisa kya kiya hai?"

Jai "Ek toh mere gairhaziri mein mere pyari biwi ka dhyan nahi rakha, usse bhuka rakha

Aur poochti ho ki tumne kiya kya hai?"

Bani by now is blushing and can barely speak.. Jai can too sense her shyness and tells her to eat something and that he'll have something too and disconnects the line.

Jai "now is even more firm on what he had been thinking and he makes a call to someone and after sometime, picks up the phone again and buzzes his assistant to not forward any calls to him for the next two hours and that "someone" (we don't hear the name) will be coming to meet him and only send him. Sometime later there is a knock on the door…

"knock knock"

Jai who is facing the wall abruptly says "come in."

The door slides and Pushkar walks in his cabin, "Jai sir."

Jai turns around and stares at him without any expressions and asks him to sit down, there is pin drop silence in the room, when Jai breaks it.

Jai "Pushkar, tumhe hairanii toh zaroor hui hogi ki maine tumhe yahan kyun bulaya hai."

Pushkar " Aise koi baat nahi hai Jai sir."

Jai "Phir bhi Pushkar itna sub ho jane keh bawajood bhi tum yahan mere bulane per aye, aacha laga dekhke ki aaj bhi meri baat ka maan rakha tumne." "Pichle kuch dino mein humare raste but gaye theh, kuch karano se, per aaj mere mun mere kisi ke kilaf kuch nahi hai, mein apni duniya mein kush hoon, aaur isme anjane mein hi sahi kahin na kahin tumhara bhi haath hai."

Pushkar not being able to understand what in the world Jai is talking about just went "mera haat?"

Jai "haan tumhara, jo ki main uss waqt nahi dekh paya tha, tumhare aaur Pia ki wajeh se mere zindagi mein aaj Bani hai, aaur uski wajeh se mere zindagi mein woh sub hai jo pehle kabhi nahi tha." "uss waqt gusse mein maine tumhare aaur tumhare parivar ke saath jo kiya woh galat tha uska ehasas mujhe aaj hai, main uss waqt ko toh nahi lauta sakta per jo kuch maine tumse liya tha usse lauta zaroor sakta hoon." Saying this he picks up a file and an envelope from his table and first gives him the file and then hands him the envelope.

Pushkar who is stunned takes it from him and slowly reads into the file which has compensation for the loss that his brother had undergone in business because of Jai, it also has a renewed contract of their company (with some company which had earlier rejected their tender). Pushkar has moist eyes as he opens the envelope to find his reappointment letter with Walia Group of Industries. He gets up and walks over to the window where Jai is standing and is about to say something when Jai tells him "Kyu, mera itna haq bhi nahi banta ki main apne bete koh wapas bula sakun." They both hugged and made up.

Three months later, Pia is happy with Pushkar everyone accepted her back (thanks to Jai).

Its evening and Jai has just returned from work, he goes to his room where he finds Bani sitting on the bed lost in deep thoughts seeing her in this condition he worriedly goes to her and asks her:

Jai "Bani kya hua, tum yahan akele baithe kya sooch rahi ho?"

Bani doesn't reply for sometime and then cracks the silence subtly.

Bani: "Jai yaad hai main ek baar apse kaha tha ki humare beech itni jageh hai ki koi humare beech aa sake?"

Jai: "haan, toh!"

Bani: "aab shayad woh baat nahi hai." "aab koi hai jo humare beech aa gaya hai."

Jai doesn't seem to be able to comprehend what she is taking about and he's getting a bit restless as he's never heard Bani speak like this earlier. After a pause he gathers courage and asks her: "Bani tum kehna kya chati ho, kaun aa gaya hai humare beech?"

Bani : "Woh jisse mein bahut pyaar karne lagi hoon.."

Jai is getting red in his eyes and we can see his fist forming and a thousand doubts are arising but he manages to control himself.

Jai (this time with a hardened expression) "Bani tum saaf saaf kaho yeh sub kya hai, kiski baat kar rahi ho tum."

As Bani keeps mum, he gets even more agitated "Bani tumne suna maine tumse kya poocha?"

Bani who seems to be enjoying the whole thing, after a small gap extends her hand out and holds Jai's hand and brings it near her and lays it on her tummy and a glowing smile appears on her face as she looks at him with her eyes speaking a million words. Jai looks down on her tummy then at her and his eyes fill up with tears of joy and he brings her close to him and plants a kiss on her forehead and feeling her tummy kisses it and firmly hugs her to his chest.

They Jai, Bani and the little one (Jr. Jai / Jr. Bani) live happily ever after.
