PART III

Bani is in the kitchen trying to arrange for breakfast, but she is puzzled on how she'll be able to arrange that much money on such a short notice. Bani thinks to herself, kya mujhe Mr. Walia se baat karni chaiyeh, shayad woh.. nahi nahi mein unse kaise maang sakti hoon paise; kis haq se unse mein itne saare payse unse maangu. Just then Dadi comes in and tells Bani "tu yeh kya kar rahi hai, nashte ki jageh lunch ki tayri kar rahi hai, tere tabiyet toh theek hai na?" Bani "haan dadi, woh mein, kya kaha apne." Dadi amused by her reply tells her to go out and rest as she seems to be tired. Bani goes out and bumps into Roshni who falls down, and starts screaming, A scared Bani goes down and tries to help her up but, Roshni refuses to take her help and starts faking as if her foot is hurting too much. She cries and yells loudly, to which Jigs comes out and asks her " Roshni yeh tumhe kya hua, tum giri kaise? Roshni tells her "woh Bani mujse takra gayi aaur.." Jigs doesn't let her finish and says, "jane kyo inn logon ka pura khandan tumhare piche para hai, kabhi Rano tumhe car se marti hai, aur aaj yeh Bani ne tumhe gira diya," "Bani tum chati kya ho, kyu iss bichari ke piche pare ho? Jub se iss ghar mein aye ho jina haram kar rakha hai tumne." Before Jigs could spill out anymore venom, a roaring voice sounds "JIGYASA" (its Jai who's face is turning red and his eyes are fuming with anger), she turns around to find Jai standing behind her. Jigs " Jai bhaiya woh." Jai cuts her off " Shut Up, mere ghar mein yeh sub kya tamasha ho raha hai, iss ghar ko tumne pagal kahna samaj rahka hai ki jub chahe chilaogi. Aaur woh bhi mere biwi per. Tumhari himmat kaise hui Bani si unchi awaz mein baat karne ki. Bani is taken back with the support she is getting from Jai and cant resist looking at him. She is ever too scared to speak but being Bani she strengthens her voice a bit and says "Mr. Walia galti mere thi, mein samne se aa rahi thi aur meine Roshni ko dehka nahi aaur hum takra gaye. Lekin maine yeh jaan ker nahi kiya." Jai looks at her with anger, turns around and looks at Roshni who is still sobbing on the floor he helps her up, she takes his support and rests her head on his chest as he's holding her from the side, Roshni gives a victorious smile and looks and a gloomy Bani standing there. Just then Jai in a cold voice calls for Tony and tells him to help Roshni to her room and to look after her and call for the doctor if need be. Roshni and Jigs are grin their teeth while Jai tells Bani to follow him as he wants to talk to her privately.

Bani goes behind Jai in the room and stands in a corner, Jai asks her to shut the door and lock it, Bani follows with hesitation and comes back to her corner. Jai is facing the other side and after moments of silence he turns around and walks towards Bani who is looking down, but can hear his steps coming in her direction, all of a sudden there was no more sound, she could see his shoes but she refrained looking up. Jai was looking at Bani all this time, waiting for her to look up, he finally takes his hands and lifts her head up and looks straight into her eyes. He starts to speak when Bani in low voice begins to say "maine Roshni ko jaan ke…" and before she could finish, Jai puts his finger on her lips, and tells her "maine tumhe yahan kisi Roshni keh baare mein baat karne ke liye nahi bulaya hai." A slight smile is starting to appear on his face, he gently removes his finger from her lips. (There is soft piano music playing in the background) Jai tells Bani " Bani, kafi dinose mein tumse yeh baat karna chata hoon, per yeh samaj nahi aa raha tha ki kaise kahon." Bani is listening to him without blinking her eyes. "Bani, yeh jo pichle kuch dinose humare beech ho raha hai , woh sub kya hai, tumne yeh kya kiya hai, aur aisa kyun kiya tumne?" Bani not knowing what is it that now she's done asks him hesitantly "maine kya kiya Mr, Walia?" Jai " tumhe nahi pata tumne kya kiya" Bani kinda nods her head, and Jai sweetly takes her hand and places it on his heart, he is still holding her hand and Bani can melt down anytime now, She tenderly utters Mr. Walia… Jai stares into her eyes and tells her "Bani tumhe abhi bhi nahi pata ki tumne kya kiya hai?" Bani just looks down not being able to comprehend what came over Jai. Jai moves his hand thru her hair and tilts her head and looks straight in her eyes…Bani tumne mera chain chura liya hai, mein jahan hota hoon mere nazren tumhe hi talash karte hain, mere dil per mera zor nahi hai, usse tumne mujse chura liya hai.. Mujhe pata hai ki aaj tak maine jo sub tumhare saath kiya uss ke baad shayad tum mujhe apnana bhi na chaho per mein ek baat kahun Bani abb mein tumhare bina jee nahi sakunga.. Jai has tears in his eyes which roll down his cheeks which Bani brushes off with her lips… Jai takes Bani in his arms and Bani puts her head on his chest… Just then there is a knock on the door…. (dadi ko bhi abhi hi ana tha) Bani tries to pull away shyly but Jai bashfully tries to hold her back and Bani is like "koi darwaze per hai.. aacha nahi lagta jane do mujhe dekhne toh do" Jai " nahi, tum kahin nahi jaa sakti…" Bani "aacha abhi jane do uske baad bahar ek board laga dena Don't disturb, theek hai." And they both laugh hysterically. Jai lets go of Bani and she gets the door it is Dadi who is looking worried..

Bani " dadi kya baat hai, aap pareshan lag rahi hain, kya hua?

Dadi "Bani, woh bahar Pia ayee hai aaur roye ja rahe hai, aaur yehi keh rahi hai ki woh apna sasural chor aye hai…"

A stunned Bani looks on… To be continued….

Hope that you'll like this one too... maybe someparts dont make sense as i was writing this pretty late at night and haven't really edited it or anything so please bear with me... Thanks for all your comments.
