Rano did get to hear in length about Bani's views on Jai next morning and she was not happy with the fact that finally Massi and Jai had an exchange of words.
That night Massi also was worried and Bani could feel that she was tensed up. That made Bani all the guiltier as due to her behavior Massi was being penalized. She didn't have dinner that night and went to bed early. But sleep eluded her thinking how she could avoid The Jai Walia altogether as he never brings in any thing good for her always problems and all he does is loose his temper with her. And she couldn't digest the fact that he looked down her upon as a little girl who needed taking care off. When all her life she had been left alone and been independent. After her mothers death the only interest her father had was in his art and historical work. The only other people who came close to her in bringing up were Massi and her Dai Amma. Who is still in Mt. Abu? So from where does this man come in at all she couldn't figure it out?
But then next morning Bani told Rano next time he does something like this she was sure to give a piece of her mind to hell with the consequences. He can play the high and mighty with the world but with Bani he better stay in his limits. By now Rano had heard a lot of colorful words describing Jai that she commented that her ears hare partially deaf by hearing all this.
But as usual Jai is not bothered by all the developments he has created by his high attitude. Or was it only that.
About a month later in Jai's office
Today he was sitting and discussing with some proposals and plans for the Dixit industries Tarun was just looking through the proposal when he just looked up to Jai and questioned
Tarun: Do you think so Massi will go ahead with all this. Last times meeting was a disaster. You turned Adi also against you.
Jai: Your job is to see that there are no loop holes and it is hassle free for me what happens to the rest of them is not your concern as I am paying you for the job done.
Tarun: But Massi will never agree to this.
Jai: That is not your concern and one more thing she doesn't have a choice
Tarun: What do you mean she is not the owner of it also? She cannot take such drastic decisions.
Jai: Yes precisely that's it. As long as it was in her control I had a free reign in another few months I have no say in the business for which I have invested millions you think so I am going to take that lightly. I want some guarantees and this contract will give me that.
Tarun: Somehow why do I feel that it's not guarantee and control that you want. Let's not forget that it was their industry from the beginning. Also this is what helped you years back when your company was falling apart when no one was ready to invest into the Walia industries. The loan and guarantee from the Dixit Industries helped you get back on your feet.
Jai: I beg to differ there. It was not Dixit industries that came to the rescue it were Nishikant Dixit to be precise.
Tarun: they are the one and the same.
Jai: No Tarun. Mr. Dixit gave the loan form his personal account. In return he asked a favor some time later to take care of his industries on behalf of Massi so that it would ease her burden. And he wanted something left for his daughter. And I think everyone would agree that I have done a very good job. But when I ask for my profit share for all the hard work I become the big bad wolf.
Tarun: Its no that you are planning to take over it.
Jai: Who said that?
Tarun: We all know the way you function, first you make space for yourself and before the person realizes you would have had him handing everything over to you.
Jai: Hey you make me sound like some sleazy old slime bag. I am not that and in business you need planning and vision. If you don't have it then you are not fit to manage it according to me.
Tarun: So you feel Bani is not fit for the job.
Jai: I never said that. In fact I think she will be a formidable person once she starts to take interest.
Tarun: So you are saying she can stand against the Great Jai Walia. This I got to see a teenage kid against you.
Jai: Yes she may be a teenager who loves to enjoy life but when it comes to things she really wants she can be a push over and get it by hook or crook.
Tarun: Don't tell me that you take her pranks seriously. You really need to lighten up Jai.
Jai: That is the difference between me and you.
Tarun: What to say, that I can see her as a teenage girl and you see her as a rival.
Jai: No you do not see the threat she can pose later on for all of us. Till she completed her studies she might not be very much keen on the industry running but once she is fully into it do you think she will approve everything I say or want to implement. She has the controlling rights over all the investments I have made. And I don't want to see my money going down the drain.
Tarun; there is along way for all that Jai.
Jai: Ha always be prepared for the future and never think that your opponent is weak. Be it a teenage girl.
Tarun: You make her sound larger than life.
Jai: Yes and she is. She will own everything what I have worked for in the past seven years. I haven't taken anything in return for that. And I expect the board to give me guarantee that there will be no changes to the existing plan for another five years till the project gets completed. And the new deal with the foreign investors comes through. Which Massi has put a halt too after my views? I need a take in all the decisions that is being done. Or they return back all eh investments I have done so far. I think it's a fairs deal.
Tarun: According to me its death for the company but who am I to comment when I am only to do the job that I am paid for. And I hope you have prepared Massi for this as she is in for one major heart attack to see her own son giving a notice.
Jai: I have given her enough of opportunities to discuss the matter but she is not willing to discuss anything now everything is going to be in the open and all the board directors and key players will take a decision.
Tarun: You fight a hard bargain Jai you know that Massi's personal opinions will stand no chance against your business plan and she will have to concede defeat so that is what you propose to do. After all consider her age and the fact that she was the one who brought you up so that you can stand up against her.
Jai: What ever you say my recession is final in business I have no sentimental values that dies a long time back. And as for Massi let's say that we are even on the business issue in my hour of need she must have been the helping hand but it was a person who was absolutely not even related to me showed the confidence in me and was willing to invest. It's a promise that I have given to him that has more value than all these sentiments. So hope I have made my self clear.
Tarun: So you remember your promise there is another half to it also that he wanted his daughter to have it all in tact.
Jai: I have never merged both the industries in any way and now also I do not plan to do it what is her s remains hers. But now I too need a say in all the plans that are put in.
Tarun: No it's more or less you want to run the show and frankly I don't see this plan of your working out so quickly. Massi can keep stretching till the age of 18 and then Bani gets it all. So then what will you do?
Jai: Do you think I will wait that long. And if she doesn't agree to this I have a back up plan too.
Tarun: After hearing this plan I don't even want to know what the back up plan is as it's going to be something worse than this or rather it would doom plan for Bani. I pity that girl who has to stand up against you.
Jai: Now itself planning to change side see she has not even made appearance and all of you side with her See what I have to put up with now itself.
Tarun: Stop making a joke about all this and I hope you know what you are doing because you are going to antagonize a lot of people with the move you are taking.
I know this is a boring part but the next part I shall try to make it to night or definetly tomorrow morning and I hope its interesting to note that the whole family standing against Jai's decesion.
