It was a night full of light ……. There were huge noise of crackers busting around …. Colourful lights lit up in everyone's houses ……new clothes …..dresses…jewellery n many more things happening around …..loads of different sweets kept on table …..it was so beautiful ….all the colourful rockets ….colouring up the dark sky ……with reds, blues, pinks, greens and yellows ……

It was already 8 pm in the night n everyone finished the puja in Kapoor house

"sorry guys" anupam hurriedly removed his shoes n went to take the aarti

"tum hamesha late kyun ho jaate ho" nikhila while giving him the aarti

"arey aunty kya karein kisi ki yaad me itna kho jaate hain ki apna khyaal hi nahi rehta" anupam replied while taking the sweet

"acha toh ipshita ki itni yaad aarahi hai" asked gauri

"arey nahi nahi ….usko kaun yaad kar raha hai ……main toh tumhari baat kar raha tha" he replied blinking an eye to nikhila

"achaa beta ab bata kiski yaad aarahi thi" shiv asked promptly

"arey shiv …..just leave all this yaar ….so aaj ka din kaisa tha" he tried to change the topic

"hmm achaa tha ….." replied shiv

"chalo sab khana khane aajao ….then we'll go n bust some crackers" shouted nisha

After finishing the food, all went up to the terrace

"arey gauri aur shiv kahan hain??" asked nikhila

"kahin phir se ice-cream khane toh nahi chale gaye" mahen joked

"nahi papa aaj toh diwali hai ….aaj kahan koi shop khuli hogi" replied nisha

"toh phir hain kahan yeh dono?" asked nikhila in a tension

"mummy …don't get tensed ….ipshita ka phone aaya tha isliye gauri baat karne gayi hai …..aur shiv bhi hoga ….aajayega ….aap chinta mat karo" replied nisha

In gauri's room,

"achaa congratzz"

"hmm very good"

"soo, when r u coming"

" achaa ….gr8 ..will be waiting for u"

"ok byee, take care n a very happy diwali again"

Gauri finished her conversation with ipshita n turned back

N saw shiv staring at her …..she got a little nervous …as she was wearing a beautiful red saree n was looking mind blowing …… just imagine her in such a look …wow

"whatt??"

"ahem …..u r looking beautiful" replied shiv

N gauri smiled ….wow she was looking soo innocent, with her closed eyes … smiling with her red lips n showing her beautiful dimples …… "thanks"

"waise u r also looking handsome" she replied

shiv blushed "thanxx"

"achaa u know what …..??" asked gauri excitedly

"what??"

"ipshita ki shaadi pakki ho gayi …who bhi next month 20 ko" she replied

"oh wow …that's gr8" said shiv

"hmm…..chalo sabko jaakar batate hain…….but just a sec……tum yahan kyun aaye the" gauri asked

"umm ….actually …..woh …."

"hey tum haathon me kya chupa rahe ho……hey …jaldi dikhao …" she tried to catch shiv's hand

"achaa wait ….just close ur eyes" asked shiv

Gauri was in surprise n instead she popped her eyes out

"arey main jab bhi tumhe aanken band karne ko kehta hoon tum aankhein badi kar leti ho" replied shiv

"okay ….as u say"

"n now bring ur hands close to me"

She did as it is

Shiv opened her hands n kept a small box on her hands "ab kholo"

She opened her eyes gently "arey yeh kya hai??"

"just open it" asked shiv

"she opened the box ……n it was a beautiful pair of diamond earings "arey par yeh kis liye??"

"aise he" he replied

"no shiv its very expensive I can't take this ….." she tried to give that back to shiv

"no gauri ….don't do like this ….maine itne pyaar se kharida hain …..n pehli baar kisi ladki ke liye khud se gift liya …isliye please"

Gauri was touched with shiv's kindness to her "okay…..par maine bhi tumhare liye kuch liya"

"achaa lao do" asked shiv

"emm ….maine bahut socha ki tumhare kaam ki koi cheez doon …..par tumhare paas toh sab kuch hain …isliye maine tumhare liye yah liya" she gave a much bigger box than shiv gave her

"yeh kya hain??" asked shiv

"zyadaa mehenga nahi hai ….par just open it"

Shiv opened it curiously

It was ……. AN ….ALARM CLOCK

Shiv in a bit shock …..

Gauri laughed …. N said "sorry ..agar tumhe bura laga …..par actually yeh isliye …kyunki tum kabhi jaldi subah nahi jagte naa….toh I thought that this alarm clock will help u"

Shiv smiled

"haan aur ek baat …tumne agar yeh alarm clock phir se band kar ke soo gaye …toh bhool jao hamari dosti …okay"

"arey yeh kya baat hui ….tumhare liye kya main soo bhi nahi sakta" asked shiv innocently

"soch lo …aur waise bhi main kaunsa tumhe roz jaldi jaagne ko keh rahi hoon ….Sundays ko late uth sakte ho"

"achaa toh baaki din ki neend main Sunday ko puri karoon ??"

"haan kuch aisa hi samajh lo" replied gauri

"Yahan ho …tum dono …kab se tum dono ka wait kar rahen hain….jaldi chalo gauri" said nisha

"haan" gauri waved a sweet byee to shiv while nisha dragged gauri to the terrace

Shiv looked at gauri and smiled then he looked at the gift … n all the conversation of the gift came in shiv's mind …..he went into his room n placed the clock on the side table next to his photo

He picked up his photo "gauri ab bas tumhari photo ka intezaar hai" he thought

He went up to the terrace n saw gauri laughing with such grace …….

Nisha giving her the cracker …but gauri denying that ….

"toh tune mujhe congratzz bhi nahi kiya" asked anupam

"congratzz……(he thought) …..haan congratzzz yaar …teri shaadi pakki ho gayi"

"thanks…….acha chal crackers jalaye"

"nahi yaar …abhi nahi" shiv replied

"abhi nahi toh kabhi nahi ….chal jalate hain"

Shiv n anupam grabbed some crackers n began to lite them

Shiv saw gauri who was in a denial mode for lighting the crackers

"u carry on I …just come" said shiv to anupam n went to gauri

"kya hua?" asked shiv to gauri

"I don't like lighting crackers ….isliye …"

"but why….." he asked

"nahi …who ….haan yaar pollution bahut hota hain ….n smoke n all …hain naa isilliye"

Shiv held gauri's hand n took her with him …he gave her a cracker and asked her to light the cracker ….but gauri closed her eyes …she was sweating …she was terrified

"I know tumhe crackers se darr lagta hai naa …..don't try to fool me" he replied

"haan par yeh kisi ko mat kehna …" she asked

"now just hold my hand n we will together light the cracker okay….."

"but …"

"no but …..agar tumne zyaada drama kiya toh yahan sabko pata chal jaayega …chalo ab mera haath pakdo"

As shiv told her …that gave her a new confidence n she without fear ….held shiv's hand n they lit the rocket n enjoyed as it went up ….gauri was looking up n shiv was looking at her ……gauri looked at shiv ……..n she also kept looking at him ….they both kept looking at each other …..without even blinking …..

"BOOM" ….a huge sound of bomb came n gauri clutched shiv's arm tight

They both again kept looking at each other …..looking deep into each other's eyes …….kept looking at each other's faces in their eyes …….aankhon ki gustaakiyaan ….maaf ho……..
