Ok, Sareeta babez, this is what I heard:
"Maire aur aapke rishte ku todne ke liye badi maa itna gir gayee kai wo aapke hamshakal ku leker ayee ta ke hum dono ke beech wo ghalat fahmian paida ker sakain? Aaj badi maa ne humei laa ker us mor per khara ker diya hai jahan ghalat bhi hum dono ke saath hi hua hai aur uski sazaa bhi hum dono ko hi mil rahi hai. Mujhe maaf ker dijeye Shiv, najane kitni baar meri wajah se aapko takleef pohanchi hai.."
My Take: This paragraph to me shows Gauri to be selfless. I don't see her whining about how she got manipulated and abused physically by samar. Not once I heard her complain about how much emotional abuse she had to endure because of this twin twist by badi maa.. But she is more concerned and is apologizing for her behavior to Shiv where she was rather begging Shiv to believe her when she brought up Badi maa's name due to be instigator behind things. Gauri's character here is apologetic to the pain and cause she caused Shiv by having her to choose b/w his mom and his wife.. I don't see her crying in that alley about how much she endured personally at the wrath of that evil witch from garbage land aka Nikhila.
2nd Part:
"Aur ab mai unki sachai sabke saamne laoongi. Aapko sab kuch bata doongi Shiv. Jaanti hoon, badi maa ka ye chahra deikh ker aapko bohat takleef hogi.
Mager apne rishte ku bachane ke liye mujhe aapko itni takleef deni paregi Shiv.. My Take: Call me naive but which woman in this world would let another person walk all over her dreams and shatter her life? If Gauri were to be shown all crying and whimsical here portraying somebody who would not dare say a word against her badi maa for Shiv's happiness, then we'd be crucifying and dissecting her inside out once again. I am actually happy that she has the guts to reiterate the fact that badi maa is the problem here. With Gauri, there is not one life attached but there are 3 other innocent lives attached who need their parents guidance and support together. Like Sareeta mentioned, she is not thinking of being selfless anymore here. Agreed! But if she doesn't do so, 3 more lives will be destroyed. Her being selfless now would rather be senseless to her own children. For hypothetical case: what if Gauri kept quiet and didn't utter a single word against her badi maa and let her ruin her marriage? She'll be all high and mighty for being selfless then, right? But what about her own children when they grow up and ask her why she kept quiet and ruined their lives? They would then say that:
"For the sake of her selfless act, she let badi maa destroy their lives. Isn't that being selflish towards her own agenda in that case?"
Moral of the story: Look one way or another, she had to take this step. Insaan kissi haal mai khush nahi yaar. Each and every action of yours in this world gets scrutinized and pounced upon whether u intend to do something good/selfless or not. Gauri, unfortunately, is in the midst of such a dilemma now..
3rd Part: (Shiv-Gauri)
"Shiv, mai aajtak aapko kitna ghalat samajhti rahi. Ke aap mujh se nafrat karte hain, bacho se nafrat kerte hain aur na jaane kya kya.. Mujhe aesa nahi sochna chahiye tha Shiv. .... Per shaid badi maa per aapka yakeen hamare rishte ke yakeen per bhari par raha hai. "
My take: Reference to her world, her bacha's there.. U have to understand that motherhood changes everything. My mom always tells me that I won't understand the love and bond a mother shares with her children until and unless I become one. And rightly so.. If saving her life and her duniya, her kids, and her rishta is a selfish act, then so be it! I am all for it rather than have her kids come back after a 20 year leap and blame her all over again for giving them a life from hell in the form of their broken family.. Again, it depends on a person's perspective. I see Sareeta's point loud and clear, but I also see that whether she goes left or takes the right, she will be criticized nonetheless. So might as well do what's right for her relationship as a wife and her relationship as a mother.
Conclusion: Loved the lines where she said, "Ho ga wahi ju usne te ker rakha hai (referring to God Almighty)..
Jitna neeche gir ke chalain chalni hai, chal lijeye.. Mai aapki tarah neechi tu nahi gir sakti leiken haan, aapki her chaal ka jawaab doongi mai.. Yaad rakhna.." Cheers,
Sana~
