recap: well gauri thinks of how shiv reacted when she told him that it was a girl baby.....shiv scolds nikhila of not feeding gauri..shashank meets shiv and gauri with his wife sanjana..shashank is shocked to know that shiv hasnt told her the raaz yet...
shiv finished talking on his cell and turned around to see a very angry shashank..." are shashank?? kya hua...waise tum yahaan kar rahe the..." " woh sanjana ki check up ke liye.." he did not sound good..." sanjana ka check?? lekhin usse kya hua hai??" " woh pregnant hai..." " wow yaar...its a good news..iska matlab tum bhi bahut jald papa banne wala hai..kyun??" " haan woh toh hai, lekhin usse pehle tumse mujhe ek zaroori baat karni hai.." " baat kya hai??" " tum apne aap ko samajtha kya hai??" " hey tum itne gusse kyun ho?? abh maine kya kiya??" " tumne abhi tak uss baat ko nahi bataya kya??" " woh!!!!!!!!!!!" " ok...i'l talk to her..." " now thats right....phir se gadbad toh nahi karoge na??waise woh discharge kab ho rahi hai???" " kal subah ko....dont worry i'll tell her.." but he did not sound happy...shashank went inside the room again and saw that sanjana was having the baby now..they had a little talking...whereas shiv was in deep thinking.." kaise kahoonga gauri se?? woh galat toh nahi maanegi...aaj ek saal baad phir se wahi baat mere sarr par aa gaya hai....oh no...god please help me..." he joined the others and they all had a jolly talk...shiv was telling about his plan for his sweet angel..it was about seven and was time for shashank and sanjana to leave and they left....
" gauri??" " haan shiv??" " kya socha hai tumne??" " kis baare mein shiv??" " humaari beti ki naam??" " woh...meine kuch sochkar rakha hai...aur aap??" " i've decided..." " kya??" " how about tina???" " aapki puraani girlfriend ki naam toh nahi??? tina??? nahi shiv.." " come on gauri..not my girlfriend...and u know ki mein aisi ladkiyon ki naam apni beti ko nahi rakhoonga..." " ok fine..tumne toh decide kar liya hai, lekhin mein apni beti beti wahi bulaoonga joh mujhe achcha lage..." " aur woh kya??" " ckuckoo..." " ckuckoo?????" " haan...short and sweet...." " shiv...sab hasenge....aapke bati bhi..." " nahi..i'm sure ki usse shanthi se zyaada yahi naam pasand aayega....dekh lena..." " haan haan dekhthe hain..." " ckuckoo beta..." and he took her in his arms and talked to her like a baby himself....
" shiv..its time..tum abh ghar jao..mein bhi chalthi hoon tumaare saat..." "lekhin mom, gauri yahaan akeli??" " dont worry shiv..aaj kaya uske saat hogi...aur bas aaj ek dhin ki baat hai..kal subah woh toh ghar aa jaayegi...abh chalo...." " par mom.." " shiv aap ghar jaayiye...kaya hai na mere saat...please..." " ok, if you say so....bye ..." he kissed her forehead and his daughter's forehead....and left with a heavy heart...
shiv had changed into his night suit and was walking here and there in the room thinking about what shashank had said..." abh mein gauri ko kaise bataoonga..how will i tell her..kya sochegi woh??? will she get mad at me..nahi, mujhe nahi lagtha...lekhin abh ek saal baad wahi baat meri saamne khada hai....how will i face her???? kaise kahoonga usee ki ki ....ki....i loved her....................." he lay down the bed and closed his eyes..." kaise?????"
*FLASHBACK*
shiv was partying with his friends in a private room in his house..he was drinking a lot....something was hurting him..just then his friend spoke up..." are yaar machan, woh ladki kaun thi yaar???" " kaunsi ladki..??" " are wahi..joh kal party mein dance kar rahi thi....??" " hey vicky..kal bahut ladkiyaan dance kar rahi thi..tu kiske baare mein baat kar raha hai...??" shiv was in no mood to listen to their conversation...he was looking into the drink he was holding...." are woh ladki joh centre mein dance kar rahi thi..she was wearing that black salwaar...wow...she is still dancing in my eyes.." shiv slightly looked up at vicky..." achcha!! woh ladki!! woh gauri hai...shiv ke dad ke dosth ki beti hai..she is dancer by profession..are tumhe uss par interest hai?? what taste yaar??" shiv was now looking at vicky very sharply..he did not like what they were talking about..." hey come on machan..tumne dekha nahi kya? what a body structure??? kya dance kar rahi thi....she was so so...kya kahoon..." shiv was now getting furious..." vicky..just stop it..." shiv told vicky in a very cold voice..." hey come on buddy...she was so beautiful..mein usse ek application dene waala hoon..and kaunsi ladki aaj tak iss vicky ko reject kiya hai??" " woh aisa kuch bhi nahi karegi...uski engagement ho gayi hai, shashank ke saat....isliye..leave her..." vicky was first shocked....machan said.." haan yaar..mein bhi yahi kehne waala tha.." but it not matter to vicky.." toh kya hua??...aaj kal ki ladkiyon toh ek side mein apne fiancee or doaare mein apne boyfriend ke saat hote hein..i'm sure ki gauri bhi aise hi..." shiv couldnt stand it anymore and just then shashank was heading inside and stood back when .....shiv shouted.." STOP IT..JUST STOP IT...ABH KOI BHI GAURI KE BAARE MEIN KUCH BHI NAHI KAHEGA...." machan and vicky were stunned..machan spoke.." are shiv tu itna gussa kyun ho raha hai...woh vicky toh sirf ek baar try karne ki baat kar raha tha..why are u over reacting??? kyun??" " KYUNKI SHE IS MY GIRL!!!!!" all the 3, machan, vicky and shashank were shocked...machan enquired about what he was talking...." shiv, yeh tum kya keh rahe ho???" shiv realised what he had just said...he was heartbroken..he sat back and kept one hand on his forehead..he started crying...
" yes I LOVE HER machan..pyaar kartha hoon usse....I LOVE HER A LOT...." shashank was shell shocked.....he decided not to go inside but listen..." hey shiv..what are you talking about?? are you serious...???" " haan vicky....i'm serious..mein sach mein usse bahut pyaar kartha hoon..." " lekhin uski engagement ho chuki hai...tumne iss baat ko pehle hi kyun nahi kahaa????" " shiv...what are you saying...usse nahi patha?? you should have told her...abh do dhin uski shaadi hai aur tum aaj keh rahe ho ki tum usse pyaar karthe ho?? kab se hua hai yeh sab??" " jab mein 9th pad raha tha, tab se..." " shiv???? you must be joking...tum??? how???? kaise????? " " mujhe khudh patha nahi chala machan....you know ki jab gauri bahut choti thi tab her mom passed away..tab se dad hi sab kuch kerthe aaye hain...scool padthe waqt hum donon car mein ek saat chalthe the...she was in 6th...she was so quite...kabhi bhi mujhse baat nahi karthi ....i liked her silence...tab se ek dhin bhi usse dekhe bina nahi reh saktha tha...ek do baar usse pukar hui thi aur woh mere saat nahi aathi thi...i was so sad....uske baad jab mein college jaa raha tha, she was still schooling...dad insisted me take by bike and go to college..lekhin sirf gauri ke saat jaane ke liye, car mein chala jaatha...you know..woh mujhse baateing karne lagi thi...uski awwaz, it was so sweet...mann kartha tha ki saara dhin uski baatein suntha rahoon..." vicky and machan couldnt speak out anything..was he the same shiv they knew.....no..he is not the same....." aur jab meine office join ki, she was in college....aur aise hi ek dhin i realised my love for her....ek baar mein uske college gaya tha...she was doing her final year and palak her first year..toh mein ek professor se milne ke liye gaya tha....prof ko milne ke baad, socha yahaan tak aa gaya, toh gauri se milkar kyun na jaoon....mein uske classroom ke tharaf gaya...aur dekha ki woh kisi ladke ke saat baat kar rahi thi..she was serious....toh mein chupke se unn donon ke kareeb pahuncha aur aur unn ki baatein sun li...woh ladka gauri ko propose kar raha tha..i couldnt bare it..mein seh nahi paya..lekhin shaayad gauri bhi usse pasand kar rahi thi..isliye mein unn donon ki poori baat suni...aur gauri keh rahi thi ki woh interested nahi thi...she wanted to study...and she marry only that person whom her father chooses....i felt happy...tabhi mein apne aap ko pooch raha tha, koi ladka usse propose kare, toh mujhe kyun bura laga??? why should i feel bad?? aur usse dhin se lekar aaj tak mein usse....." " shiv, agar tum usse pyaar karthe the aur shaadi karna chahthe the, toh you could have told your dad..." i was also thinking the same...but socha kuch dhin baad kar loonga..and in between that, mujhe australia jaana pada, aur usse samay yahaan gauri ki shaadi pakki ho gayi..." " still you could have told shiv..." " kaise yaar..meine gauri ki engagement ki photos dekhi and she was so happy in that....how could i spoil her life??" just then vicky noticed shashank standing near the door..." SHASHANK??????" shiv and machan turned to the door and saw shashank standing there...Shiv" shashank??? woh actually baat kya hai ki..." shashank came inside.." shiv, meine sab kuch sun liya hai....yeh shaadi nahi hogi....." shiv was thunderstruck....." what????" " haan, yeh shaadi nahi hogi...." " shashank please..aisa math karo....gauri is very happy about this marriage..aur woh tumhe pasand bhi karthi hai...." " nahi shiv...mujhe lagta hai ki you are the perfect one for her.....joh usse pyaar kar saktha hai......" " lakhin shashank.." " shiv...my decision is final....abh yeh baat sirf hume patha hai...aur shaadi ke dhin..mein mandap se chala jaoonga...aur shiv, tumhe gauri se shaadi karni hai....mein iss baat ko nikhy aunty se keh detha hoon.....shaadi ke baad, usse zaroor kehna ki mein usse mandap mein kyun chala gaya tha...." and before..shiv could say anything...shashank had left...shiv did not know what to do....and u all know what happened after that.....

tears ran down his cheek as he remembered......and he fell asleep thinking about gauri...............
