CHAPTER FIVE
recap: gauri woke up and had tears in her eyes looking into her baby's face.....she thought the day when she had understood shiv...his character...and told to nikhila that shiv fainted when he knew that she was pregnant....
" kya??? shiv behosh ho gaya tha???" " oops...badi ma woh maine shiv se wada kiya tha ki main iss baat ko kisise nahi kahoongi..." " ohh...its ok..woh toh bahut puraani baat hai, lekhin i would like to know what happened that day..batao na gauri...ki mera bate kaise behaosh hua tha......" " badi ma lekhin..." " no way gauri..u have to tell me...." " teek hai....aapko toh patha tha ki....................."
*FLASHBACK*
the following was not told to nikhila but i'm telling you.......so dont mix it up....
after the big night, the next day gauri went to institute as u all know..and at abt 9 shiv woke up keeping his hand on his head...he got out of bed and looked at the bed, there were broken yellow bangles....he recapped what happened the previous night..." oh no mujhe yeh kya ho gaya...patha nahi gauri mere baare mein kya soch rahi hogi...why did i do that...nahi..mujhe aisa nahi karna nahi chaahiye tha....damn it....sab meri galti hai....abh kya faayda...." and with an unsatisfied look he went to the washroom and took a quick bath...he got for office....
in the evening gauri was waiting for him in the room..shiv came home early as he was not able to work properly at office..the previous incidents were distracting him.....he went inside the room and found gauri sitting on the bed thinking....she looked up at him and gave him a smile...but shiv gave her a weak smile.....he kept the briefcase on the table and went to his cupboard but he could stand it anymore and turned to gauri..." gauri???" " haan shiv?" " woh kal raat..." " aap tak gaye honge mein aapke liye juice laathi hoon.." and b4 he could say anything she had left..." abh kya hoga....how will i explain...oh god...." shiv changed into his night suit and gauri came inside with the juice...." thanks.." " its ok..." he thought for a moment and spoke to her..." gauri, woh actually kal raat....." he couldnt continue..she had placed her hand on his mouth..." kuch kehne ki zaroorat nahi hai...bas soch leejiye ki kal joh bhi hua achche ke liye hi hua....ok??" " gauri woh....." " kya hua shiv???" " woh mein bahut thak gaya hoon...i'm so tired..." " aap aaram keejiye...khaane ke waqt mein aapko bulaathi hoon..mujhe kitchen mein kuch kaam hai, so u take rest..." saying so she kissed his cheek and went out...shiv felt nervous...why was saying so...whats in her heart..he did not know but wanted to know...why is she acting like nuthing happened the previous day..why?? she seems to be normal....i cant understand....kya mein uss baat ko abh kahoon, nahi..abh teek nahi rahega... and he went to bed....
a wek passed and each day shiv would think loads of times if he should say...gauri also tried talking to him abt that, but at that sumthing made him to avoid that topic....sumthing was still there in btw them..kuch toh dhoorie thi..lekhin kyun, yeh unn donon ko nahi patha...kya kernege....but shiv and gauri had gr8 improvement..like one day gauri took him out, i mean to the hospital where her friend simi had givven birth to a baby boy..gauri started to head and talk to him..she helped him in his work...and on the other hand, shiv was also doing well..a week later he took her to nearby park and spent time with children.....and a week later he took her to a help age home, where there old people who were left out from their families..gauri was surprised..everyone knew shiv..they told that everyyear he would come there and do sumthing for them....and after a few days
the following was told to nikhila.......
shiv came to her institute...." shiv?? aap yahaan kya kar rahen hain???" " mein tumhe le jaane ke liye aaya hoon..." " lekhin kahaan shiv, mujhe kaam hai..." " meine tumhaare ma'am se baat kar lee hai, aur unhone permission de diya hai..chalo lets go...." he pulled her holding her wrist and went to the car...after sitting he took out a black ribbon and tied it around her eyes......." shiv yeh aap kya kar rahn hain?????" " chup....chup chap baito...ok??" and he drove the car and went to a beach resort... he took hold of her hands and took her to the table he had booked....he slowly opened the ribbon singing into her ears..."happy birthday to you...happy.............." gauri opened her eyes and saw a cake on the table with the words "To My Dear Wife...." gauri got emotional... " are yeh kya....tumaare aankh mein aansoo???" he wipes her tears...she was looking at shiv..." aapko yaad tha!!!....thank u shiv..thank you so much..." she hugged him...." hey cum on, mein apne biwi ki bday kaise bhool saktha hoon..abh chalo cake kaat the hain........" shiv took the knife and gauri kept her hand on his....they smiled at each other and cut the cake...he fed gauri and gauri gave him one and silently took some cream and spread it all over his face and in return he took some cream and ran behind her and got her by her waist....gauri was like paralized...she stopped and shiv took advantage and spread cream on her face......then after running around behind each other..they came back to their table....gauri took a napkin and cleaned his face..shiv looked at her for a long time and then after she was done he took out a napkin and was cleaning her face when a waiter came to him.." sir, woh bachche aaye hain.." " teek hai, unhe yahaan lekar aao.. " " yeh bachche kaun hai shiv????" " khudh dekh lo...." gauri looked behind and abt 20 children came running to them and they hugged both of them....." shiv yeh sab..??" " ek minute...." he told the waiter to cut the cake and distribaute it to the kids....and he went and stood with gauri while the kids were enjoying....." gauri, yeh sab orphanage ke bachche hain....humaare ke office ke paas hi hai...har saal mein apne bday par inhe kuch detha hoon aur iss saal meine tumaare bday mein kiya hai....." he turned to gauri and saw her eyes were filled with tears..." dekho phir se shuroo ho gayi...ek baat batao, ki tumaare aankh mein aansoo kahaan se aatha hai??? kabhi khaali nahi hota kya????" gauri smiled but then her face changed, she held her forehead and slowly her eyes started closing....." gauri?????" b4 that she had fallen unconcious on his shoulder.....he made her sit on a chair...and took some water and sprinkled on her face...." gauri...gauri....utto....kya hua??? pls apne aankhen kholo...." he tapped on her face and she slowly opened her eyes....shiv felt reieved.." gauri?? tum teek toh ho na??" " patha nahi shiv, bahut chakkar sa aa raha hai...." " hum dr ke paas chalthe hain chalo....." he took her to the car and made her sit..he raced to the hodpital and took her to the dr...the dr. took her into another room and did some check up...she came outside.." kya hua dr?? gauri teek toh hai na???" the dr. was standing..." mr. kapoor, aapko ek hafthe pehle hi aana chahiye thi....." " kya hua dr.???? pls aap batayiye ki kya hua hai????" " mrs. kapoor abh bahut weak hain..i think she is a dancer is it??" " yes dr." he got up from his seat..gauri came outside and smiled at him....he went near her.." gauri?? kya hua?? dr. pls batayiye na???" " jaise maine kahaa, aapko ek hafthe pehle hi aana chahiye tha....toh mein tab hi aapko yeh baat keh dethi..." " lekhin baat kya hai dr." he got tensed..he was sweating on his forehead now...the dr. now smiled and.." congrats mr.kapoor ur wife is pregnant..ur going to bcome a father soon...." " what???? pregnant..." a very happy gauri looked at shiv and his eyes were slowly closing..with a confused look on her face.." shiv?????" and he fell on the bed which was behind him..." shiv????dr.??? shiv???" they sprinkled water on his face....he opened his eyes.." mr.kapoor? aap teek toh hai na??? yeh toh ajeeb, aise haalat main toh bachche ki ma ko hamesha chakkar hota hai, lekhin here its the opposite......
*FLASHBACK*
gauri and nikhila were laughing really very hard....." sach mein shiv ghir gaya kya??" " haan badi ma....uske baad woh itne khush the ki mein keh nahi sakthi.....aur car mein unhone kahaa tha ki yeh baat kisi ko patha nahi chalna chaahiye..." they stopped laughing but their still had tears of how much they had laughed.......suddenly our cute baby started crying..and gauri started feeding her again....nikhila excused herself and went to the bathroom...just then shiv came inside with a bag in his hand...he saw gauri feeding the baby......." oh sorry....." and he turned to leave.." its ok shiv....aayiye...." and she stopped feeding....he came near her and kept the bag on the table...." kaisi ho gauri???" " teek hoon..." he placed his hand on her head and kissed her forehead..."can i???" he extended to take the baby..." of course shiv..." she gave the baby to him...." bilkul aap pe gayi hai...." " nahi, woh bilkul tum par gayi hai...aur mein bhi aisa hi chahtha hoon..." he looked at gauri and back at the baby..." yeh hamesha sothi kyun hai??? kabhi apni aankhein nahi kulthi kya??" gauri laughed ..." shiv, yeh abhi toh bachchi hai..usse waqt lagega...aur aankhein kholne ke baad bhi woh kisi ko dekh nahi paayegi...sirf mujhe achchi tharah se dekh sakti hai aur mehsoos kar sakti hai...aur kisi ko nahi.." " kyun nahi, woh mujhe zaroor pehchaanegi..." " usse theen maheene lagega sabhi ko dekhne ke liye....tab tak woh sirf mujhe mehsoos kar sakti hai..." " aisi koi baat nahi hai...woh apne papa ko bhi mehsoos kar sakti hai...dekh lena...." gauri smiled looking at him......" waise gauri tumne kuch khaya kya???" " nahi woh......" " nahi???? maine mom se kahaa tha ki tumhe khaana dena hai...isse pakdo, mein abhi mom se milta hoon and he gave the baby back to her and went in search of nikhila...." lekhin shiv??" .........................
