Hey guys!! Thanks for the wonderful response. Katji, thank you for your kind support and calming the zoo!! 😆jk... Ok, heres the next or first part I guess since the other was a preview. I still don't have a title... Hope you like it! Comments and criticisms both welcome!! 😉

Part 1

She clutched the bed-sheets desperately, her head turning from side to side frantically. A disturbed moaning escaping her slightly parted lips…

It was 2:00 in the morning, and the streets of Mumbai were buzzing with life yet still. Such an oblvious place this was… Mumbai, sapno ka shehar (city of dreams), as it is often referred to. A slight laugh slipped his mouth at the thought. Sapno ka shehar… What dreams he thought? This city had not only snatched away his dreams, but also gnawed away his reality… Every aspect of his life, this city had rendered him no better than a beggar. Yes, he possessed all the commodities of a respected, heir of a well-off family, yet he felt he lacked something… everything. Somehow, he managed to pull the "down" key with the beer can subtly stable in his hands, and the cool air on his face let him know the window had opened. He smiled as he recollected an engraved a moment in his heart.

Flashback

He tapped the steering wheel in anticipation. Where was she? For the umpteenth time, he looked at his watch and let out a deep sigh. He had been waiting for an hour now. Just as he was about to look up, he heard something… A smile spread across his face at the gentle humming of her footsteps, the anklets singing to the rhythm of his heart. As he looked up, her worried face and hurried strides made the smile fade. Instinctively, he got out and took hold of her shoulders now. "Kya hua?" (What happened?) he asked, concern written all over his handsome face. "I'm so…soo sorry Shiv, main jaanti hoon maine tumhe 7 baje kaha tah aur abhi 8:15 hone ko aye hain…I'm…" (I'm so sorry Shiv… I know I told you 7 o'clock and now its 8:15… I'm so sor…) Her words lost themselves in the darkness of the night as her breath kissed his fingers now over her lips. Gently, he moved close… And closer… Towards the side of her face… "Tumhaare liye toh main poori zindagi intezaar karne ke liye tayar hoon," (For you, I can wait an entire life-time) he whispered in his deep, husky voice. His lips brushed against her ear, and he felt goosebumps scatter the length of her shoulder. Gently, he allowed his fingers to travel the length of her shoulder, gently removing the hairs… He smiled within as he sensed her muscles tighten with the feeling of his lips on her neck. Looking up from his position, he smirked at her closed eyes… Suddenly, she opened them as if realizing their surroundings. It was dark and the college parking lot was pretty much deserted with the exception of the occasional car and rare bike. Gently, she pulled herself away from his grasp. "Shiv, koi dekhlega," (Shiv, someone will see.) she spoke in her soft melodious voice that seemed to touch his soul. Her eyes lowered coyly at his intense gaze. Her innocence was divine… Driving him mad. Gently, he lifted her face and she looked into his eyes. "Dekhne do na… mujhe koi faraq nahin padta." (Let them… I am in the least bothered) She looked at him expressionless for a moment, taking in his craziness, knowing that it certainly didn't bother him. Quickly, she pulls herself away and walked towards the passenger seat, "Tum bhi na, bilkul pagal ho!" (You are completely mad!!) she exclaimed. He looked over at her from across the car, "Sab tumhaari wajase hai… Shiv Kapoor kabhi aisa nahin tah… Sab tumhaari wajase." (All because of you… Shiv Kapoor was never like this… All because of you.) She smiled her gorgeous smile and told him to hurry and get in the car as Baba is awaiting her at home. The both got in and he started the ignition. "Shiv… tumhaara ye window ka button bhi na… Kabhi khulta nahin mujhse…" (Shiv… this window button of yours… It never works…) He smiled micheviously at her innocent struggle. For so long the switch had not been working properly and had to be used a certain way. After several failed attempts she left out a frusterated sigh. She had been telling him to get it fixed for so long, but he had not bothered. Secretly, he loved seeing her struggle with it, she looked so cute. Pretending to be bothered, he whispered, "Sorry jaan, kal teekh kar le aoonga." With that, he parked the car on the side of the street, and reached over to her side. His face inched closer to hers. He looked at her teasingly and she rolled her eyes gently smacking him. "Shiv!!" she exclaimed. He loved when she took his name upon her sweet lips, it created an unknown feeling within him he could not explain… Just knew its pleasantness. A cool breeze hit his face and gently teased her tresses and he looked up at her smiling sheepishly. "Ab teekh hai na?" (Its fine now?) He asked sweetly. She smiled and nodded in acceptance. He was still overreaching across her and he moved away now… But not before giving her a peck on the cheek. She smiled again smacking his shoulder while letting her other hand cover her cheek where his lips had melted her soul.

End Flashback.

A sudden bright light broke his reverie and he brought his arm over to shield his eyes… Blackness…

She sat up with a start, her chest heaving, beads of sweat evident on her forehead. Her eyes stared horrified into the darkness… A light came on and Kaya came rushing to her sister's side. "Di…? Di kya hua?," she asked in concern, her one hand under Gauri's chin while the other protectively sitting around her shoulder. Gauri looked on pointing somewhere into nothing… "Ka…Ka…Kaya… wohe… wohe Kaya…" she stammered as if out of breath. Kaya nodded as if understanding. "Haan Di…?… Aapne phir se koi burra sapna dekha… Kuch nahin hai wahan… Di aap so jaaye." (Yes Di…?… You saw another bad dream… Nothing is there… Di, you go to sleep.) Somehow, Kaya made her lie down and soothingly spoke to her while caressing her hair. Silently, she cursed underneath her breath. Her sister had not slept whole night since that horrid day…
