Hi guys...

I am back with another chapter of this story.

CHAPTER -93

After Manik left, Nandini went inside and saw Aarav-Khushi with Vishnu in the drawing room.

Both the kids were busy in some work.

Nandini Out of curiosity went towards them and looked at the paper on which Aarav-Khushi were drawing some lines.

Nandini - Aarav-Khushi ye kya kar rahe ho aap.

Aarav-Khushi - Shh... Mumma we ale(are) dawing (drawing) Nanu and Nani's setch(sketch).

Vishnu looked at Nandini and said- Nandu ye dono to bahut hi talented aur intelligent hai.

Nandini - Haan. They are very talented kids. Aur kyu na ho. After all mujhpe jo gaye hai.

Vishnu - Haan. Wo to hai. Tu bhi bachpan me aise hi sketches draw karti thi jinka koi meaning bhi nahi hota tha.

Nandini - Hawww... Appa ... How mean...

Aarav-Khushi in an irritated tone- Shhh... Shilenceee(silence).

Nandini and Vishnu looked at each other and laughed.

On hearing their laughter, Aarav-Khushi looked at them with wide eyes as If trying to scare them.

Both Vishnu and Nandini kept finger on their mouths and looked at the sketch in which Aarav-Khushi were busy.

After almost 15 minutes, the kids raised their heads and looked at Nandini.

Aarav-Khushi - Mumma see... We are done.

Aarav-Khushi held the paper in their hands and showed it to Vishnu and Nandini.

Vishnu and Nandini were surprised on Seeing this.

Nandini - Wow... Aarav-Khushi aap dono ne to itne ache se draw Kia hai.

Nandini held the sketch in her hand and kissed Aarav-Khushi's cheeks one by one.

And the kids too kissed her back.

Nandini- Appa how's it???

Vishnu had a smile on his face seeing the sketch which faded.

Vishnu- It's nice.

Nandini- Bas nice. Abhi to aap...

Nandini looked at Vishnu whose eyes were fixed at something behind her.

Nandini - Appa aap waha kyu dekh rahe ho? Drawing to yaha hai na.

Saying this Nandini turned back and saw Padma standing there.

Nandini - Amma... Aap kab aaye?

Padma- Bas abhi abhi.

Nandini - Amma dekho Aarav-Khushi ne kya banaya hai???

Padma looked at the sketch that was in Nandini's hand.

Padma was about to say something when Aarav-Khushi rushed to Nandini and took the drawing from her hand.

Both of them rushed to Padma and said- Nani see ... Thish(This) is Nanu and thish is you. Howshh(How's) it???

Padma faked a smile and said - Bahut Acha hai.

On hearing this,the kids got happy.

Padma - Aarav Khushi aap dono apne room me jaake khelo.

Aarav-Khushi - Ok Nani...

Aarav-Khushi kept the sketch on the table and ran to their room leaving the elders behind.

Nandini - Amma aapko sach me achchi lagi ye drawing.

Padma - Nandu... Maine bachcho ka Mann rakhne ke liye keh dia ye Jhut.

Nandini - Amma but...

Padma - Nandu... Waise bachcho ke mind me ye thought aaya kaise?

Nandini - Amma... Aarav-Khushi ne to bas aap dono ki drawing banayi. Because they want their Nanu and Nani to be together.

Padma - Nandu bas... Tu jaa Bachche akele hai room me.

Nandini - Ji Amma.

With this even she went to the kids Room.

Vishnu looked at Padma and gave a nervous smile.

Vishnu - Mai bhi jaata hoon.

And he went to his room.

After everyone left, Padma took the sketch in her hand and a smile appeared on her face.

Padma - Bahut achi drawing banayi hai bachcho ne. Sach me Bahut hi talented hai dono.

Padma felt a tap on her shoulder and she turned back to see Nandini.

Padma immediately hid the drawing behind her and said- Nandu tu...

Nandini - Amma yahan pe drawing thi na... Kaha hai??? Aapne dekhi kya???

Padma - Nahi... Shayad Bachche le gaye apne sath.

Nandini - Amma... Aap jhoot nahi bolsakti. Mai jaanti hoon ki drawing apke haath me hai.

Saying this Nandini took the sketch from Padma's hand.

Padma - Mai abhi aayi.

Saying this Padma left from there.

Nandini - Hmmm... To Amma ko bhi ye pasand aaya. This is a positive sign that everything will be Ok between Amma and Appa.

Nandini went to the kids room and watched them play. But her mind was occupied with Manik's thoughts.

Nandini selfthought - Oh my God. How can I be so stupid? Maine ye Pehle kyu nahi socha. Manik ghar pe akele honge. Aur I am sure kaam ke chakkar me wo dinner skip kardenge.

Saying this she picked up her mobile and dialled Manik's number.

Manik was about to enter his house when he got a call from Nandini.

Manik - Hey... Missing me already...

Nandini - Manik... I am really sorry. Mujhe aapke sath Jana chahiye tha.

Manik - Kyu kya hogaya?

Nandini - Aap dinner kaise karoge? I am really stupid.

Manik - Nandini that's so sweet of you. But don't call yourself stupid. But Ab tum bolrahi hoon to I will have dinner without fail.

Nandini - I am really sorry Manik.

Manik - Heyy.. Don't be sorry. Ok.

Nandini - Ok. But it's my order. Agar aapne khana nahi khaya to mai aapse baat nahi karungi.

Manik - Ok Baba khalunga.

Nandini - That's good. Ab mai rakhti hoon. Aap kaam kar lijiye.

Manik - Okay. Bye. Love you.

Nandini - Hmmm...

Manik - What Hmm... I love you ka answer ye nahi hota .

Nandini - Jaanti hoon. But apko answer tabhi milega jab aap dinner karoge.

Manik - Ok baba. Fine.

Nandini smiled and said - Bye.

Meanwhile in Nepal -

Dhruv's house -

Dhruv was packing his stuff as he had to go to India the next day when Anita knocked on his door.

Dhruv opened the door and said- Anu tum... Aao na andar...

Anita came inside the room and said- Doctor Sahab... Aap kal India jarahe ho to mere past ke baare me kuch pata zarur karke aaiye. Ab mai aise nahi rehsakti. Din raat bas yahi sochti rehti hoon ki mai kaun thi aur mere family members...

Saying this she broke down into tears.

Dhruv - Anu... Please ro mat.

Dhruv wiped Anita's tears.

Dhruv - Anu... Have faith in God. Sab theek hojayega. Don't worry.

Anita hugged Dhruv and said- Doctor Sahab aapne mujhpar bahut kiye hai. Pata nahi mai kaise chuka paungi aapke ehsaano ka badla.

Dhruv broke the hug and said - Ek tareeka hai.

Anita- Boliye na. Mai Kuch bhi karne ko tayyar hoon.

Dhruv - Bas ek smile de do. Wahi kaafi hai mere liye.

Anita smiled and said - Mai aapki help kardeti hoon packing me.

Saying this she kept the files in his bag which were kept on the bed.

Dhruv - Anu... It's Ok Mai karlunga...

But Anita didn't listen to him and continued with the packing.

As Dhruv was busy admiring Anita, Mukti came to his room and said- Ye Anu bhi na... She is so caring and understanding na Bhai... Hum dono ka kitna khayal rakhti hai.

Dhruv - Haan. Wo to hai. But...

Mukti - What But???

Dhruv - Kuch nahi.

Mukti - Bhai Aap ye sab baaton me apna promise mat bhool Jana.

Dhruv - What promise???

Mukti - Meri shaadi karwane promise.

Dhruv - Oye chupkar . Har baar shaadi shaadi... Kuch aur kaam nahi hai kya tujhe?

Anita finished the packing and joined Dhruv and Mukti in their conversation.

Mukti - Hawww... Mai har baar thode hi na shaadi ki baatein karti hoon.

Anu tum hi batao.

Anita and Dhruv looked at each other and said in unison - Zyada nahi...Bas din me minimum 10 baar.

And they started laughing.

Mukti - Uhh...Aap dono na... You both are just impossible.

Saying this she left from there.

At 8pm-

Manik's bungalow-

Manik was busy in his work when his phone started to ring.

It was a call from Raj.

Manik answered the call.

Manik - Hello Dad...

Raj- Hi Beta... Kaise ho?

Manik - Mai theek hoon Dad. Aap bataiye...

Raj- Kya batau Beta. Tumhare paas to hamare liye time hi nahi hai. Jab se Shadi Hui hai tumhari, tum to nazar hi nahi aate...

Manik - Dad... Aisi baat nahi hai. Mai ghar aaya tha but us waqt aap office ke liye nikal gaye the.

Raj - Haan Bhai... Ab workload bhi to bad gaya hai na.

Manik - Don't worry Dad. Ab aap relax kijiye. Mai hoon na. I will look after everything. Kal se I will be taking charge. Mere hote hue aap kaam karo. Aisa ho sakta hai.

Raj - God Bless you Beta. Mai bahut hi Khush kismat hoon Jo mujhe tum jaisa Beta Mila.

Manik smiled and said - Dad I think it's the other way round. I am lucky to have a father like you.

Nyonika who was sitting behind Raj took the phone from him and said - Yeh Acha hai... Ab tum dono hi baatein karte rahoge kya koi mujhse bhi baat karega. Shayad tum log bhool gaye ki Mai bhi hoon yahan pe.

Manik - Mom... Aap bhi na... How can I forget you. You are the world's best... No no... the bestest Mom.

Nyonika - That's better. Waise Manik hum logo ne tumhe disturb to nahi Kia Na?

Manik - No Mom . Not at all...

Nyonika in a teasing mode- Nahi mujhe Laga ki tum Nandini ke sath ho to shayad...

Manik - Mom Nandini yahan pe nahi hai . Wo aur Bachche Murthy Mansion me hi rahenge aaj raat.

Nyonika - Oh yeah. Mai to puchna hi bhool gayi. Is everything okay there?

Manik - Not yet. But soon it will be.

Nyonika - Matlab???

Manik - Matlab... Wo sab Mai apko ghar aake Batata hoon. I m coming tomorrow morning for breakfast after dropping Nandini to her work.

Nyonika - Ok. Acha Manik... Meri ek file nahi milrahi hai. Bahut hi important papers hai. I think mai waha bhool aayi hoon two months back. Shayad storeroom me hogi...Please check it once . Kal aate samay lekar aana.

Manik - Ji Mom. I will get it.

Nyonika - Ok. Ab mai rakhti hoon. Take rest and don't stress yourself with too much work.

Manik - Yes Mom. Bye. Good Night.

Raj and Nyonika - Good Night Beta.

With this they hung up the phone and Manik resumed his work.

He was so lost in his work that he didn't realise that it was almost 11.

Manik's phone rang and without looking at the screen, he picked up the call.

The call was from Nandini.

Nandini - Hello Manik...

Manik - Hey...

Nandini - Did I disturb you? I mean aap so rahe the Kya?

Manik - No yaar. I was busy in some work.

Nandini - Aapne khana khaya ya kaam me hi busy the...

Manik - Ofcourse khaya Maine and .Kaise nahi khata. After all it was your order.

Nandini - Good.

Manik kept his files aside and said- Waise Nandini... More than food, I need something else.

On hearing this, Nandini blushed and said - Manik... Aap bhi na.

Manik - Yes. I really need it. I need it right now.

Nandini - Now... But kaise... I mean... Phone pe Kaise...

Manik - What's the problem in it? Phone pe I love you kehne me kya problem hai?

Nandini - Huh!!! Aap uski baat kar rahe the... Mujhe laga...

Manik - Ooo... Hold on... Tumhe kya laga...

Nandini - Nahi Kuch nahi.

Manik - Batao...

Nandini - Nothing.

Manik - Comeon... You can tell me.

Nandini - Nothing...

Manik - Nandini your thoughts are getting naughty day by day.

Nandini blushed hard and said- Manikkk... Please ...

Manik - Arey what please??? Mai wahi bolraha hoon Jo sach hai.

Nandini - Ok . Bye . Good night.

Manik - Arey... Wait... Pehle I want my reward. Ab to Maine dinner bhi karliya na.

Nandini - Manik... I LOVE YOU..

On hearing this, a smile crept on Manik's face.

Nandini - Manik... Waise aap itni raat ko bhi kaam me busy ho. Don't you think it's too late. You should sleep now.

Manik - Typical wife mode huh... Anyways I will sleep once I finish this. I am almost done.

Nandini - No. Sab kaam side me rakhiye and go to sleep. Now.

Manik - Ok Baba fine...

Nandini - Mai rakhti hoon. Have to get up early tomorrow.

Manik - Goodnight my love...

Nandini - Good Night Manik...

With this they hung up the call and slept thinking about each other .

Hi guys...

I present you with another chapter of this story.

CHAPTER -94

Manik was getting ready in a hurry as he was already late .

He remembered that Nyonika had asked to bring some documents so he went to the store room to search for them.

The room was full of Aarav-Khushi's old toys and other stuff which was not in use for a long time.

Manik - I have to get this cleaned. Kitni unwanted cheeze bhari hui hai storeroom me.

Manik found an old cupboard there.

Manik - Pata nahi kaha rakhe hai documents. I m already late aur mujhe mil bhi nahi rahi hai Mom ki file.

Saying this he opened the cupboard.

And all the things in it fell down on the floor.

Manik - Oh God. Not again.

Saying this he bent down and picked up the files which were now gracing the floor.

Manik got the file which Nyonika had asked for. He held it in his one hand and with another hand arranged the left over files.

As he was collecting the files, Manik saw a photo frame with its front facing the floor.

Manik turned it to his side and all the color of his face faded away.

It was Anita's picture. The one which used to be in his room hung on the wall right in front of his eyes. He would always see it as he woke up and went to sleep. He used to spend hours just staring at her photo and share his worries and pain with her.

All the memories of Anita came back in front of his eyes as a flashback.

As the photoframe fell from the cupboard, it's glass broke.

Manik stood up holding the photoframe in one hand and the file in another hand.

He traced his fingers over the picture and as a result,his hand got a deep cut due to the broken glass.

Manik kept the frame on a table and immediately took out his mobile. He didn't even realise that his hand got cut.

Manik got a call from Nandini.

Nandini - Hello... Manik. Aap busy ho kya?

Manik didn't say anything as he looked at Anita's photo.

Nandini - I mean aapne kaha tha ki aap Jaldi aajaoge but it's too late. Agar mai late pahunchi to wo caretaker fir mujhe baatein sunayega. Aur aap jante ho na...

Manik closed his eyes and let out a sigh.

Manik - Nandini... I am coming there in a while. Be ready.

Nandini - Mai to kabse ready hoon.

Manik disconnected the call and was about to got out of the storeroom with Anita's photo and the file.

Manik wasn't able to decide what to do with the photoframe.

He couldn't just leave it there broken nor he could fix it as it would be unfair on his part to Nandini.

So many things were going on in his mind. He wanted to talk to someone to clear his mind.

He kept the photoframe back in the cupboard and locked it.

With this he went out of the store room, took the car keys and drove to Murthy Mansion.

Nandini was already waiting for him at the door.

On Seeing Manik's car, she heaved a sigh of relief.

Nandini occupied the passenger seat and Manik started the car and drove to Dhruv's house.

Nandini looked at Manik who was silent.

Manik was concentrating on the road and didn't spare a glance at Nandini.

Nandini held Manik's hand and said- Manik kya hua aap itne chup kyu ho? Kuch hua hai kya?

Manik - No.

Nandini - Fir aap Kuch bol kyu nahi rahe ho?

Accidentally Nandini's hand touched the cut in Manik's hand and he hissed in pain.

It is then that Nandini saw the cut on Manik's hand.

Nandini - Manik ye kya hua? Apko chot kaise lagi. Dikhaiye mujhe.

Manik - Nandini it's a small cut. Nothing serious. Don't worry.

Nandini - Are you kidding me? Look at the cut... It's so deep.

Saying this Nandini took out a handkerchief from her bag and tied it to Manik's hand over the cut.

Manik - Nandini... We have reached. Andar Jao... You are already late.

Nandini - Mai kahi nahi jarahi. Let's go to the doctor first. You need a dressing for this.

Manik - Nandini... It's not required. I am fine. Just go...

Nandini- But Manik...

Manik - I said na... Go...

Nandini left Manik's hand and opened the door of the car by herself unlike other days when Manik used to do the honours.

Nandini selfthought - Pata nahi kya hogaya hai Manik ko. Maybe work ka tension hai. Par wo cut...

As soon as Nandini got down the car, Manik ignited the engine and drove off from there.

Nandini - Manik zarur mujhse Kuch chupa rahe hai. Koi na koi baat to zarur Hai. Warna wo aise kabhi behave nahi karte.

Nandini's thoughts were disturbed by the caretakers voice.

CT- Ab yahi khade rehna hai ya apna kaam bhi karna hai. Be quick. Aaj is ghar ke owner aarahe hai. So unke aane se Pehle tumhe guest house ka kaam finish karna hai.

Nandini looked at the direction where Manik went and then at the caretaker and nodded her head.

She went to the guest house and kept her bag on a table and started the work.

Manik after reaching certain distance away from Dhruv's house, applied sudden breaks and stopped the car at the side of the road.

Manik ran his hand in his hair and said - Manik... Are you mad? Do you even realise what have you done? How can you be so rude to Nandini?

I need to talk to her right now.

Saying this he drove back to Dhruv's house.

In the meantime -

A car stopped in front of Dhruv's house.

The driver got down and opened the door of the car .

A man in grey suit got down the car.

Introducing Dr. Dhruv Singh (Utkarsh Gupta )

Dhruv entered his house where Nandini Was in the guest house instructing the workers about the wall paint in the guest house.

Dhruv was greeted by the caretaker of the house.

CT- Welcome Sir. Pleased to see you. I am the caretaker of this house.

Dhruv - Hello. Nice to meet you too. So is the work done?

CT- Sir it's almost done. Wo Kya hai na Jo ladki ko hire Kia tha humne wo bahut hi slow hai. But don't worry. I will see to it that the work will be over by tomorrow.

Dhruv - Good.

CT- Chaliye sir I will show you around.

Saying this the CT showed the entire house to Dhruv.

He inspected the house and was impressed with the design.

Doctor to the caretaker - I want to meet the person who has done this wonderful work.

CT- Sir aapko ye work pasand aaya?

Dhruv - Yes. It's brilliant. I doubt that Top professionals bhi aise kaam karsakta honge. Where is the designer?

Caretaker - Sir wo guesthouse me kaam karwa rahi hai...

Dhruv - So what are we waiting for? Let's go and meet her.

CT- Ji sir. This way...

Saying this the caretaker took Dhruv to the guest room.

The caretaker stopped Dhruv at the door of the guest house (outhouse).

CT- Sir wo fresh paint ki smell hogi andar. It's better ke aap apni nose cover karle.

Dhruv took out his handkerchief and kept it on his nose and so did the caretaker.

Both of them entered the outhouse and the smell was indeed strong.

Nandini was busy in her work and she didn't notice Dhruv and the caretaker.

Her condition was all messed up as she stood at a distance instructing the workers.

Her face was covered with a scarf and hair was tied in a bun.

Nandini's dress had stains of paint.

Dhruv to Nandini - Hello...

Nandini immediately jumped at her place as she hadn't expected anyone there.

Nandini - Hi... Aap...

Dhruv - I am Dr.Dhruv Singh.

Nandini - The owner of the house right... Nice to meet you... I am Nandini.

Doctor - Same here... Waise aapka work Dekha Maine... You have done a fantastic job.

Nandini - Thank you...

The caretaker intervened.

CT to Dhruv - Sir I think Ab Hume chalna chahiye yahan se. You have just arrived. Aapko rest karna chahiye.

Dhruv - Haan. You are right. Rest ki bahut hi zyada zarurat hai mujhe.

CT- Chaliye fir. Aapka room ready karwa diya hai maine.

Dhruv turned to Nandini and said- Ok. I will take your leave now. See you around. Have a good day. Bye

Nandini - Thank you. Bye.

With this the doctor and caretaker left.

Nandini to the workers - Guys. Aap sab ek tea break lelijiye. Tab tak ye paint bhi thoda dry hojayega. Then we can proceed to the next room.

The workers nodded and left.

Nandini was left alone in the outhouse.

She looked around the walls and noticed a small part of the wall was left to paint. The workers hadn't noticed it .

Nandini - Ab jab tak ye log chai peekar aayenge tab tak to paint sookh jayega and baad me ye patch ko paint karenge to theek nahi lagega. I think mujhe hi kardena chahiye paint yahan pe. Chota sa hi to patch hai.

Saying this Nandini climbed the stool and took the brush and started to paint the wall.

Nandini - Perfect.

Nandini was about to get down the stool when she lost the balance and fell from the stool.

But before she could land on the floor, a pair of hands held her .

Nandini closed her eyes due to fear.

The person holding her said - Don't worry Mrs. Malhotra... You are safe. Kuch nahi hua hai aapko.

Nandini opened her eyes slowly and looked at the person holding her.

Nandini smiled and said - Aap... Thanks for saving me.

All this was observed by someone who was standing at the door of the outhouse.

The person who saw this got angry and left from there.

Done with another update.
