I ran towards the staircase as fast as possible, not worrying about the people who were giving me sympathetic looks. I hate it! Dhruv has crossed all his lines today! I can't tolerate him more. I reached there and sat down hugging my knees and resting my head on the wall. My eyes were closed and tears were continuously flowing. Suddenly i felt a warm touch on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and found Rishabh standing there with tears flowing from his eyes too. He quickly sat down beside me and hugged me as tightly as possible. I sobbed in his arms. He was continuously patting my head to ease the pain. After some time we broke the hug, he wiped my tears and i wiped his. I rested my head on his shoulder.

Rishabh: "Nandu why didn't you told me before?"

Nandu: "I.. i tried but..."

I choked. I was not able to complete my sentence.

Rishabh: "Its okay. Shh Nandu. Calm down. In fact i am sorry. Being a brother i should have known about it."

Nandu: "Its not your fault Rishu.. par Mom"

Rishabh: "Don't worry about Mom i will explain her everything.."

Nandu: "Hmm"

Rishabh: "Nandu, Are you okay?"

Nandu: "Haan.."

Rishabh: "Don't lie to me. I know you are not."

I didn't replied. I had nothing left to say.

Rishabh: "I have taught a good lesson to Dhruv."

Nandu: "Hmm"

Rishabh: "Nandu i have my classes."

Nandu: "Haan you go, i am okay."

Rishabh: "Are you sure?"

Nandu: "Yes."

Rishabh: If you will say i will bunk it."

Nandu: "Haan i know you just need a reason to skip the classes. So go..."

I tried lighting the situation but failed miserably. I glanced at the front and i thought that i saw Manik there. No, what will Manik do here?

Rishabh: "Come with me Nandu. I have to do one important thing."

He said and dragged me with him. In no time we reached at the middle of the ground.

Rishabh: "Listen everyone!"

He shouted so loudly and sternly that everyone turned their attention to him. I looked down not wanting to face anyone.

Rishabh: "Listen you all very carefully, Do not dare i repeat do not dare to mess with Nandini. She is my sister. Rishabh Murthy's sister. If anyone tries to harm her believe me your condition will be worse than Dhruv. Get this thing clearly in your mind."

By the end of it i had tears in my eyes. This time of happiness. I am so blessed to have him as my brother. The boy who never wanted to show anyone that he has a sister, was announcing in front of the whole school just to protect me. I hugged him tightly while tears escaped from my eyes.

Manik: "Not only Rishabh's sister but my friend too. So you mess with her and i will break all your bones. Got it?"

I glanced at the other direction to find Manik saying this with fire emitting from his eyes. I can clearly see concern in his eyes for me.

Manik: "Forget about messing, if we found anyone even thinking nasty thing about her, trust me we will not leave you."

I again glanced to find Mukti Alya and Navya standing there with rage in their eyes. Suddenly, i was feeling so blessed to have them in my lives. I quickly ran towards them and hugged Alya, Navya and Mukti. I went towards Manik and without thinking twice i hugged him too. It felt so good in his arms. Again tears escaped from my eyes. Manik broke the hug cupped my face and wiped my tears and shook his head as if saying to me not to cry. I noticed tears welding on his eyes too, i quickly wiped them and shook my head in the same way. His lips slightly curved into a smile and i smiled seeing him smile. Though we don't spoke anything but our eyes were speaking volumes. Our trance were broken by a coughing sound. We quickly pulled apart being embarrassed. I was about to say something when the principal came.

Pricipal: "Rishabh Manik and Nandini in my cabin right now."

Saying this we quickly followed him bidding bye to Navya, Alya and Mukti. We stepped in and Mom was already sitting there on the chair with a worried look on her face. As soon as i saw her i tightly clutched Manik's hand out of fear. He gave me a assuring look and clutched my hand even tighter. Mom came running to me and hugged me tightly. I quickly left Manik's hand and hugged her back. Getting motherly touch i again broke down in her arms.

Nandu's Ma: "Shh Nandu calm down. We all are with you now. Don't worry!"

Mom said and broke the hug. She wiped my tears and kissed my forehead tenderly.

Principal: "Mrs. Murthy we are sorry for what happened with her. We have expelled Dhruv and we will see to it that nothing happens like such in future."

Nandu's Ma: "It will better for you all if nothing like such happens again."

Mom replied and turned her head towards Manik.

Nandu's Ma: "Thank you so much beta."

Manik: "Its okay aunty and plus Nandini is my friend so it was my duty and i will always protect her."

Manik said staring me and i smiled. Mom then went to Rishabh and kissed his forehead too.

Nandu's Ma:"Now, Sir i would like to take Nandini home."

Pricipal: "Ya sure."

I left with Mom bidding bye to Rishabh and Manik.

It was night and i was lying on my bed thinking about all those happened today. I was no more scared from Dhruv maybe because i have full faith on Rishabh my friends and Manik. He cares for me. This was more than enough. Today i felt complete, today i came to know that my brother loved me. Manik cares for me. And my friends stands for me. I stood up and went towards the window. I drew the curtains and found Manik doing the same. Our eyes met and we smiled at each other. Suddenly, my phone vibrated and it was a message from an unknown number.
