CHAPTER -44
Nandini and Pia were still sitting silently in Padma's room.
They didn't know how to react to the situation.
(Author p.o.v- All the three sisters had missed their father all these years.
But didn't ever asked Padma about his whereabouts.
Anita, Pia and Nandini were very small when Padma and Vishnu separated.
Both Pia and Nandini didn't know the reason for the separation of their parents.
But they only knew that their father had hurt Padma a lot.
That is why the both of them never dared to ask about Vishnu)
Nandini -
Pia Di kya aap bhi wahi soch rahe ho Jo mai soch rahi hu.
Pia-
Haan Nandu.
But Amma ne khud permission de Di hai Appa se milne ki.
Toh we can meet him.

Nandini - But Amma hurt hogayi toh.
Pia- Nandu ek baar milne me koi burayi nahi hai.
Nandini - May be you are right.
Padma heard this from outside the room.
She felt really bad for her two daughters' dilemma.
Padma self thought-
Mujhe pata hai ke tum dono apne Appa se milne ke liye kitna bechain ho.
Aur sahi bhi to hai.
Tum dono ka haq banta hai unse milna.
But mujhe strong banna padega .
Mai meri bachiyon ke samne kamzor nahi pad sakti.
Agar Anita yahan hoti to mera datd samajhti.
Padma closed her eyes to control the tears she had in her eyes but couldn't stop them from coming out.
Padma wiped her tears and dialled a number.
Padma - Hello...
Person on the other side- Hello... kaisi ho...
Padma interrupted the person and said- Maine yeh fizool ki baatein karne ke liye phone nahi Kia.
Mai bas yeh bolna chahti thi ki Pia aur Nandini aapse milne ke liye ready hai.
( The person was none other than Vishnu Murthy - Nandini's father)
Vishnu - Sach ... I am so happy. Thanks Padma.
Padma - Aap bas ye bata dena ki mai unhe kab bheju aapke paas.
Vishnu - Mai saare arrangements karwake tumhe call back karta hu.

Padma disconnected the call even before Vishnu could say anything.

Vishnu sighed and kept the phone aside.
Vishnu -
Tum abhi bhi nahi badli Padma.
15 saal Pehle Jo bhi hua wo tumhari misunderstanding thi. But tum mujhpe ek baar bharosa to karke dekhti.
Khair Jo hona tha hogaya. Ab mai sab theek kar doonga.
Saying this Vishnu called his P.A. Gaurav.
Gaurav came inside the cabin and saw his boss in a happy mood.
Gaurav - Kya baat hai sir. Aaj aap bahut khush lag rahe ho.
Vishnu - Gaurav you won't believe it. Finally mai itne saal baad mai meri betiyon se milunga. Pata nahi wo mujhe yaad bhi karti hongi yaa nahi.
Aisa ek din nahi gaya jab Maine unhe yaad na Kia hoga.
Gaurav - Ji sir. Ye to saara office janta hai ki aap apni family ko kitna miss karte hai.
Vishnu - Haan. Finally wo log yahan aarahe hai. Tum saare arrangements karwa dena.
Gaurav - Sir sab hojayega. Undono ke travelling aur Rehne ka intezaam hojayega.
Saying this Gaurav was about to leave the cabin when Vishnu stopped him.
Vishnu - Dono ke nahi 6 logo ke liye arrangements karna hai Hume.
Gaurav got confused and asked- Sir 6 Log. Mai samjha nahi...
Vishnu - Arey Bhai meri betiyon ki shadi hogayi hai Ab. To wo akeli thode hi na aayengi. Apne apne husbands ke saath hi aayengi na.
Gaurav - Sir ye to 4 log hogaye. Aur do kaun????
Vishnu - Meri chotu se grandchildren bhi to aayenge.
Gaurav smiled seeing Vishnu's excitement and said - Ok sir. Sab hojayega .
Saying this he went out.
Vishnu sat down on his chair and took a photo frame kept on the table in his hands and passed his hand over the frame.
It was a family photo taken at the time when Nandini was born.
Vishnu started to recollect the old memories.
Next day at Murthy Mansion-
Pia and Nandini woke up early and went down to help Padma in the Pooja prepations.
After all the prepations were done, Padma asked Pia and Nandini to go and get ready as Arjun and Manik would be here any moment.
Padma- Pia, Nandu ache se tayyar hona. Warna log baatein batayenge.
Maine tum dono ke liye kapde aur jewellery nikalke rakhi hai. Tumhare rooms me hai. Jaake pehenlo.
Pia and Nandini nodded and went to their respective rooms to get ready.
Arjun and Manik arrived and took blessings of Padma.
Padma - Jeete raho bachcho. Khush Raho.
Manik looked around for Nandini but didn't find her anywhere.
Arjun - Amma Pia Kahan hai nazar nahi aarahi.
Padma- Beta wo room me hai ready ho rahi hai. Tum jao na Jake jaldi leke aao usey.
Arjun - Ji mai abhi aaya.
Saying this Arjun went to Pia's room.
Padma - Manik Beta tum bhi jao mil lo Nandini se. Apne room me hai wo.
Manik wanted to go and see Nandini but he said - Nai Amma it's Ok.
Padma - Arey nahi Beta jao.
Manik - Ji Amma.
Saying this he went to Nandini's room.
Meanwhile in Nandini's room- Nandini wore the saree given by Padma and was holding the jewellery in her hand and making cute faces.
She wasn't able to decide whether to wear that jewellery or not as Manik had warned her not to wear such kind of heavy jewellery.
Nandini self talk-
Ab mai kya karu?
Manik ne to mujhe mana kiya hai ye heavy jewellery pehen ne ke liye.
Idea... mai jewellery hi nahi pehnungi...
Magar Amma ko bura lagega.
But mere paas to Manik ke diye hue necklaces bhi nahi hai yahan.
Uff...
Manik came to Nandini's room and heard Nandini self talks and smiled at her cuteness.
Nandini was making cute pouts while talking.
Manik wanted to kiss her then and their for her cute pouts.
But then he composed himself and cleared his throat and said- Mai Kuch help kardu. Mere paas ek Acha solution hai.
Nandini jumped at her place hearing Manik's voice.
Nandini - Aap... aap kab aaye?
Manik - Jab tum apne aap se baatein kar rahi thi.
Nandini - Wo mai... mai...
Manik - Acha theek hai. Tum kya baatein kar rahi thi.
Nandini - Dekhiye na ... Amma ne ye jewellery di hai. Aur mai ye nahi pehen sakti.
Manik - Kyu?
Nandini - Kyunki Agar mai yeh pehnungi to aap daantoge. Aur Waise bhi Maine apne aapse promise kiya hai ki mai aapki har baat manungi.
She said this in one go.
Then she realised what she said and tried to change the topic.
Nandini - Aap abhi abhi bol rahe the solution ke baare me. Kya solution hai bataiye na jaldi.
Manik - Haan Batata hu but Pehle turn around.
Nandini turned her back towards Manik.
Manik took out a necklace from his pocket and made Nandini wear it.
While Manik was tying the hook of the necklace, he looked at Nandini's exposed skin as her blouse had a deep neck.
Manik couldn't control himself and after tying the necklace, he intentionally traced his hand at her back.
Nandini closed her eyes and gasped due to Manik's touch.
She held her saree in her fist in anticipation.
Manik held Nandini's shoulders and bent down to kiss Nandini's exposed back.
He had lost all his senses by now.
He just wanted to kiss Nandini.
Their moment was broken by a knock on the door.
Manik came back to his senses and left Nandini immediately.
Nandini opened her eyes and ran to open the door.
Padma entered the room and said- Aiyyo Nandu tu ready nahi Hui abtak.
Then Padma observed that Nandini hadn't worn her Mangalsutra.
Padma - Nandu... yeh kya tune ap a Mangalsutra nahi pehna abtak. Jaldi pehenke neeche aaja. Mai Pia ko lekar aati hoon.
Saying this she went out.
Nandini couldn't meet Manik's eyes.
She went infront of the mirror and took the Mangalsutra and was about to tie it.
She could feel Manik's piercing gaze on her .
Nandini looked at Manik through the mirror and was finding it difficult to tie the Mangalsutra as her hands were shaking.
Manik observed this and came forward and took the Mangalsutra from her hands. He tied the Mangalsutra and left from the room without sparing a glance at Nandini.
Phewww ...
