Manik , Nandini and Nyonika reached the jewelers and the manager was already waiting to receive them.
As soon as their car stopped he came forward to open the doors of the car.
" Hello Mrs. Malhotra welcome. How r you." And when he saw Manik and Nandini stepping out of the car he greeted them and said " this must be Manik Malhotra if I'm not wrong. "He asked. " congratulations sir"
"Thanks " Manik said.
He take them inside the store and make them sit in a room. The room is neatly arranged with a sofa set and a center table made out of glass and some decorative pieces. The walls of the room is also made out of glass.
The manager said " how can I help you ma'am"
Right at that moment a hefty man with an average height entered the room.
" namaste bhabiji, Kya haal hai. And where is Malhotra.." He said
" namaste Zaveriji, woh office mein busy hai" said Nyonika
" aapko bahut bahut Mubarak ho , aapne apne Bete ki shaadi fix kardi "
"Thanks, issi liye to aapke paas aaye hain,," reply Nyonika " aaj in dono ki engagement hai, and Hume engagement ring chahiye" she paused and continued " mere Bete Manik Ko tou to aap Jante hi hai " she pointed at Manik " aur yeh meri hone waali bahu hai. Toh show me some thing special for her " Nyonika said . Nandini bend her head down getting a little shy. And Manik gave a cute smile watching her shy..
" tou Kya bataun main, solitaire or princess cut" asked Zaveri.
" of course solitaire " said Nyonika
" abhi main laya, tab tak aap bataiye Kya lenge aap log cold drinks ya chai ya kuch aur "
" no no we are just coming straight from a restaurant after lunch , aap bas jaldi kariye, today in the evening engagement hai " said Nyonika
" ahem " coughed Nandini " woh... I need to use the restroom " she said very slowly to Nyonika who was sitting beside her, but Manik also heard her who was sitting opposite her.
" Zaveriji can you show her the restroom " Nyonika asked Zaveri.
"Ji Ji , come beta" Nandini got up to leave the room.
" one minute " Manik stopped them " even I want to freshen up so..."
" why not I'll show you the way". Nyonika saw and understood that Manik didn't want to leave Nandini alone in a new place and she smiled Both of them left the room.
Nandini thought ' Aiyyappa yeh Kya hai. Yeh mere peeche peeche kyun aa rahe hain... Or may be he didn't want to leave me alone '. She went into the restroom. She splashed some water on her face and look in the mirror and talked to herself
' he is so caring and understanding...and he is protective of me... I'll tell him everything thing... Aiyyappa please make way for me... So that I can tell him about my past... But ' she thought a little ' will he understands me... Will he give me time to know him better...l'm scared ' she dried off herself and went out..and saw Manik waiting for her a little far from the restroom. She bend down and walked ahead and came close to him..
He asked " you ok " looking at her in a concerned way.
" ya... I'm alright... It's just that... I'm a little Nervous " she said " main kabhi pehle jewelers akeli nahi aayi... Always maasima ya chachi did the jewelry shopping for me... So..." She said.
" don't worry main hoon na... Just tell which ring you like and mom will take it from there ". He said tying to relax her.
" but... I don't know anything about diamonds ". She gave him questioning look very innocently..
" So you want meee to select a ring for you...of my choice... Hmmm" he whispered coming a little close to her.
" fine than I'll choose it for you...will you like my choice ". He asked her not getting any answer from her.. She nodded her head in a yes lifting her face to look at him with a smile.
They walked in the room where Nyonika and Zaveri were already waiting for them. As Nandini sat Zaveri passed a blue velvet box to her and opened it. It has around 8 or 10 rings in it. Nandini got confused looking at all of them at a time. She looked at Manik who was sitting opposite her...as if asking him what to do. Seeing the confusion in Nandini's eyes he asked
" Mom if you don't mind,can I help her in selecting " he turned to Nyonika
" ya why not go ahead " Nyonika said giving a smile..
Manik bend down a little and grabbed an oval shaped diamond ring and said
"How about this,try this on" and pass it on to Nandini.
Nandini took and puts it on and was checking it...if it looks good or not and by bending her hand a little trying to show Manik if looks good on her or not. He just raised his eyebrows and gave a smile.
" wah bhabiji Kya choice hai aapke Bete ki, yeh sab se unique piece hai hamare paas ka
Maan Gaye aapke Bete ki Nazar" Zaveri said " yeh 3 carots solitaire hai".
" tou Nandini did you like it" asked Nyonika turning to Nandini..
" yes , it's beautiful, but it's a little loose' she said.
" koi baat Nahi main tight karva deta hoon" Zaveri said
" but Zaveriji engagement aaj hai , aap kab karvayenge "Nyonika got a little worried.
" kitne baje hai engagement " Zaveri asked
" around 9 in the evening " Nyonika said
" tou bhabiji aap bilkul fikar mat kijiye abhi 6 baje hain na, main 9pm se pehle ring aapke ghar bhijwa doonga... Ya main khud personally la kar doonga" Zaveri said in a requesting tone..
Nyonika looked at Manik. He said " ok uncle than baki ke formalities pure karte hain chaliye "
" arey no no beta, jab aapki engagement ho jaayegi tou formalities bhi pure karlenge aap us ki fikar na karo" Zaveri said
Nyonika indicated Manik that it's fine. And she said " Theek hai Zaveriji , Lekin time par pahuncha dijiyega please".
"Haanj haanji aap bilkul fikar mat kijiye main pahunch doonga... aur koi khidmat mere layak " Zaveri asked.
" haan jo orders Maine last week diya tha woh ready ho tou pack karva dijiye " said Nyonika..
" haanji " said Zaveri and left.
Nyonika turned to Manik and said " Manik I've call the driver...so I'm gonna be leaving mujhe ghar par bahut Kaam hai... You go and drop off Nandini and come home".
"Yesss" Manik got so excited after hearing her mom.
Nyonika asked Nandini " beta tumhe pasand tou aayi na ring "
" Ji " Nandini said very softly looking at Manik through side ways.
Nyonika's phone started ringing. It was the driver calling to let her know that he is here.. Nyonika kept the phone and told Manik that she's gonna grab her stuff and leave And left from there.
Nandini got up from the sofa and was about to go out, Manik got up and grabbed Nandini's elbow and pull her a little. Nandini stood there just like that. Manik came in front of her and asked her
" suno" very softly he whispered coming close to her " tumhe sach mein ring pasand aayi ya aise hi keh rahi thi "
' Aiyyappa yeh itne paas kyun aarahe hain, koi dekh lega tou Kya sonchega... Mom bhi yahin hai' Nandini thought. She is getting goosebumps feeling him this close..
" agar tum nahin bataogi tou main abhi ring change karva ta hoon " saying this he suddenly left her hand and was about to go out of the room in a hurry.
"Rukiye" and she grabbed his wrist with her hand in a sudden act and than realized what she did. Manik smirked mischievously... But didn't turned back.
She was trying to leave his hand but he caught hold of it and turned around and came very close to her and asked in a very husky voice
" Bolo Nandini... Pasand aayi ya..."
" Pasand aayi " she said in a little louder voice looking into his eyes...And again repeated very softly " Pasand aayi...aap please mera haath chodiye koi dekh lega"
She put her gaze down getting shy.
" haan tou dekhne do main kisi se darta hoon Kya ". Manik replied in a teasing tone smiling at her.
He didn't leave her Hand and came out of the store saying bye to Zaveri. He was just pulling her close to her while he was walking to the car. The gaurds open the doors for them.. After getting settled they left from there in the car Manik was feeling very happy that he got to spend time with her more.
" looks like destiny is also playing its role to make us spend time together... Don't you think " Manik asked.
'Aiyyappa thanks for giving me the chance to talk to him ... At least I'll try' she thought
" Kahan kho gayi " he said tapping on her shoulder.
She turned to look at him and said " haan... Kahin Nahi... Woh mujhe... aapse kuch kehna hai".
" haan bolo na " Manik said. Right at that moment his phone start ringing. It was Cabir. Manik tries to ignore it... Seeing this Nandini said " aap phone receive kar lijiye "
" it's Cabir " he said " haan Cabir Bol " picking up,the phone he asked.
" yaar Manik humne Jo Zee label company se album ka contract sign kiya tha...ki hum unhe 5 songs denge... 2 months back... next week dena hai ..." Cabir said
" arey haan yaar I totally forgot"Manik said remembering.
" waise tu kal se kuch ziyada hi bhoolne laga hai nai" taking a pause " ab yeh bata ki Karna Kya hai... Teri tou shaadi ho rahi hai... Next week hum 5 songs kaise prepare karenge". Cabir said again.
"I already have 2 songs and we have to prepare 3 more so... we can do it... Don't worry...we'll manage" Manik said in a relaxing tone.
" Manik are you serious...tu shaadi ke baad apna time songs prepare Karne mein lageyega...instead of spending time with ... ". Cabir left it in the middle.
Manik turned looked at Nandini who was looking out of the window.
" haan theek hi tou keh raha hoon main... Mood agar ban Gaya tou songs bhi prepare ho jaayenge " Manik said. He wants to cut the call so he asked "acha tu Kahan hai abhi"
" main ghar Aaya abhi... Kyun " Cabir asked.
" main Nandini Ko ghar drop karke aaraha hoon...then we'll talk" Manik said
" ohhh yeh baat hai... Nandini tere saath hai... Tabhi tu apni tareef kiye jaa raha hai... Theek hai theek hai ghar aaja baat karte hain phir... Bye "
" bye " Manik cuts the phone and looked at Nandini and said " sorry sorry... It was Cabir he was reminding me of the album deal... It's due next week. ... So you wanted to say something "
Nandini got a little nervous but still started with" woh...actually... Main..." Again the phone rings and this time it was Nandini's. Nandini took out her phone... It was Navya.
" it's Navya " Nandini said
" toh pick karlo na " Manik said
" hello " Nandini said picking the phone
" nandu tumhe kitni der hai aane mein" Navya asked.
" hum log raste mein hai... Bas thodi Der mein pahunch jaayenge... Par Tum kyun Puch rahi ho Kya hua" Nandini asked.
" kuch nahi... Already 6:30 ho chuke hain aur tumko ready bhi hona hai ... So that's why I'm asking" Navya said
" Kuch Nahi sab yahan tumhe pooch rahe hain and chachi bahut nervous ho rahi hain ki tum kab aaogi ready kab Hogi an all"
" Navya Navya I'm on my way so relax " Nandini was a bit irritated now.
"Achcha ek minute ek minute " Navya was a bit loud " woh jo tumhari dress hai na aaj ke event ki you know na ki it has an open back " she was so loud that Manik also heard it
" haan Navya I know " said Nandini
" you are comfortable with it... Tum aise kapde Nahi pehenti ho na...so I was I asking "
Navya asked
" it's fine Navya We'll talk when I come ok... Rakhun ab phone... Bye..."
Manik turned to her and asked " what happened... Koi problem hai Kya "
" no nothing serious " Nandini said
" I didn't want to pry... But she was loud...so I didn't helped overhearing... She was talking about your dress right... Is something wrong". He asked in one go..
" no nothing is wrong...its just that... Ki... That dress has an open back..."
She said a little hesitantly. " I was not use to wearing these type of clothes... She was making sure if I'm ok with it or not".
"If you were not comfortable than why did you agree on it... Koi aur dress select kar Lena tha" he said concentrating on driving..
" woh aapko Pasand aayi thi na...so that's why I said ok" said with very softly with her cheeks getting red.
Manik turned suddenly and looked at her with so much of love and said
" meri pasand tumhare liye itni matter karti hai..." He asked her. She didn't say anything
"Bolo na Nandini...itni matter karti hai meri pasand ki...You can come out of your comfort zone and wearing what ever I like". Asked in a very appreciating way getting very happy to know that she considered his pasand".
"Ji...woh actually...even I like it". She said trying to avoid the topic..Manik understood that she didn't want to make him uncomfortable. Nandini's phone rang again. She looked at it... It was chachi. She picked up the call
" Nandu Kahan hai tu...woh Namratha Didi ne beautician Ko bhijwa hai tere liye.." Chachi asked
" chachi main raste mein hoon... Thodi der mein pahunch jaaungi". Nandini replied
" tou main use bitha kar rakhti hoon " chachi said.
" ok chachi ... Bye"she said.
Manik said " so here it is we reached".
"Itni jaldi..." Suddenly it came out of Nandini's mouth and she just put her tongue in between her teeth closing her eyes.
Manik stopped the car in the drive way and turned to her and gave her a mischievous smile and said " well Miss Nandini Murthy... Not bad not bad at all... So I'm not the only one who is having this feelings haan... It's on both the sides...its just a matter of few days... Than we'll get a lot of time to ourselves.."
" nai woh...actually I wanted to talk to you..." She said.
" even I want to talk to you... Want to Know more about you... But don't worry...engagement ho jaane do than we'll take out sometime for ourselves..." Manik was getting happy to know that she is getting comfortable with him. Manik took her hands in his and said
" Nandini... " she lift her gaze to look into his eyes which has so much of care in it .
" if you r not comfortable with that dress you can still change it... I won't mind". He continued..
" I will be fine " she said giving him a shy smile.
" are you sure"he make sure again.
She nodded her head in a yes with a cute smile
" well in that case than I'm eagerly waiting to see you in that dress... I want to see how you look". He started teasing her..
She pull her hands getting embarrassed. And asked " ab main jaaun "
" Mann tou Nahi kar raha tumhe chodne ka... But I have no choice... Anyways I will see You in the night." Manik said " and the talk you want to have with me... We will definitely do it once this engagement happen... Ok "
" yes " she said.. By saying that she stepped out of the car and left.
He watched her going inside the house and moved his hands through his hair and said to himself
" oh god she is such an innocent and pure soul...I think I'm falling for her... I don't believe it... I'm starting to like her". He left from that place looking all the arrangements going on around the Murthy villa. The decorations, the stage, the seating arrangement for the people and also a walk way from where the bride will come to the stage and there's a fountain in the middle of the ground.. The front of the Murthy villa was looking like a bride..
Manik left from there and went straight home and barged into the house looking for his mom
" mom..mom...where are you mom..." He was laterally shouting on top of his voice"
"In here in my room ". Nyonika answered him from her room.
Manik went into her room and said " mom I need to ask you something...come here please" he grabbed her by her shoulders and make her sit on the sofa.
"What happen itni gadbadi mein kyun ho" she asked
" mom mujhe bataiye I want to know ke Roka Kya hota hai...I mean Kya karte hain usme " he asked.
" nothing specific... When a boy and a girl is finalize for the marriage than grooms mother give a gift or shagun or a piece of cloth like chunni or duppatta to assure that she is going to be the daughter in law of her house...and same goes with the opposite family...brides father give the gift or shagun to the groom as accepting him for her daughter in marriage.." Nyonika explained him.
' so I was right it has something to do with the dupatta thing' Manik thought.
" why were you asking "...Nyonika asked him.
" just wanted to know". Manik replied " which color dupatta "
" mostly it has to be in any shade of red...but why you want to know tell me na"
Nyonika asked again... Manik thought for a little and " just curious mom nothing important " and he stood up to leave.
" achcha get ready we have to leave...it's already getting late". Nyonika said again.
Manik said ok and he left from there.
"Weird " Nyonika thought.
Murthy villa was decorated and lit up,with bright and colorful lights. As you enter the villa.. on the left it's the parking and on the right its stage and the arrangement for the function was set up. And on the further more right is the food and drinks were available. The entrance of the house is in the middle the guest has arrived and Malhotra's were also there. Mukti and Aliya came a little bit early to help Nandini and Navya in getting ready. Chachi is wearing a light green chiffon saree with golden border all over and full embroidery on the pallu and gold jewelry. Namratha is wearing a straight cut blue shirt with white duppatta and parallels with light jewelery..
Narendra and Mahinder were receiving guests and Rishab was looking after them. Waiters were serving drinks and appetizers to the guest. Manik and Cabir and Dhruv were in the garden talking to people. Manik was looking at the entrance of the house waiting impatiently..
Nyonika came to shanno and said," shanno ladikiyan Kahan hai I think ab Nandini Ko bula Lao let's start the ceremony..."
" main dekhti hoon " shanno said and went inside the house. She went inside Nandini's room. She came to Nandini and said" Nandu badi pyaari lag rahi ho... Kisi Ki Nazar na lage " she put the kohl dot behind her ear.
Nandini was wearing the same dress which has an open back...it's a dress without a dupatta. Aliya suggested that she should put her hair style into a bun to enhance her beauty to another level. The beautician did very light make up,as her complexion is a little peachy and milky. She is looking more elegant and more attractive with just wearing diamond hanging earrings.
Nothing else.
Shanno said " girls everybody is waiting for you all downstairs... Bahut der ho gayi hai already... Chalo sab neeche".
" haan chachiji aap chaliye hum log aate hain" Navya said.
Chachi left. Aliya looked at Nandini and said " Nandini aaj tou Manik Gaya... You are looking sexy".
" yaar Bhabs thoda to rehem kardo mere bhai par". Mukti also added.
Nandini was getting very embarrassed hearing all the comments and thinking about Manik and his reaction seeing her. Blood rushed to her cheeks making her blushed a little.
' Aiyyappa this all feels so right...it seems like nothing can be more better than this..every passing minute I'm feeling more and more comfortable with the idea of getting married' she thought.
" ok guys lets go...every body is waiting" Navya said. And they all leave the Nandini's
Room. Nandini was a little uncomfortable because of the back of the dress.
She asked Navya. "Navya how does it look from the back... Ziyada expose toh nahin ho raha naa" being very conscious.
"Arey nahin tum bahut pyaari lag rahi ho " Navya assured her.
Here Manik was thinking what's taking them so long and Nyonika came to Manik and said " Manik woh dekho Nandini aa rahi hai " pointing in the direction where she is coming from.
Manik turned around and saw the scene in front of him and he was like awestruck. Cabir who was standing near her whispered in his ears " apna muh band karle warna mosquitoes chale jaayenge. "
Hearing Cabir he got embarrassed and closed his mouth and turned his gaze.
But again he thought something and ask Nyonika
" mom...aaan...can I go and get her "
" but son "
" " trust me mom I have a reason " before Nyonika completed he added again. "
" please mom"
" ok " said Nyonika..
When Nyonika said ok he walked towards Nandini and stood in front of her. He was mesmerized by her beauty and watching her with intensity. Navya Mukti and Aliya were smiling looking at him. "Ahem ahem" they all coughed at a time.
" bhai sab dekh rahe hain" Mukti said.
" haan Manik yeh look look baad mein karlena abhi sab hai yahan par" Aliya also added teasing him
" tum log bhi na..." Navya said
" jeejaji aap Nandini Ko khud le jaana chahte hain na... Toh aaiye na" by saying that she moved from her right side.
" may I " asked Manik giving her his right hand.
Nandini got hesitant first than gave him her left hand in his. He hold her hand and she feels like it's meant to be.
All three girls moved a little away from there. Manik came on Nandini's left side and while leaving her hand putting his hand on her shoulder covering her back. Nandini tilted her head and gave her a questioning look. Manik just blinked his eyes and
" you don't have to feel uncomfortable anymore..." He whispered in her ears.
Nandini's eyes get moistened feeling his care and protectiveness for her.
" shall we" he asked. They start walking to the stage and the guests started to clap watching them going on the stage.
Watching all this Narendra and amms eyes also gets wet. Amms said to Narendra
" Nandini's future is in good hands now".. She pressed her hand on Narendra shoulder.
Nyonika make them sit on their chairs and called Narendra and vikram on the stage.
When she turned she saw that Nandini's back is bare and than it clicked in her mind the whole conversation of hers and Manik's about Roka and all... And she has a big smile on her face. She felt proud of her son. She put her hand on Manik's head and than Nandini's head. Manik looked at her like asking her what she said just shakes her head and turned.
The ceremony starts by Nyonika feeding some sweet to Nandini and Manik and after that she took out a very beautiful red dupatta full of silver embroidery on it and it has a mid night blue border. It looks like that this dupatta was matched for her dress. Nyonika spread it on Nandini's shoulder from the back which almost covered her bare back. Nandini and Manik have a reliving smiles on their faces. Nyonika also kept an envelope in Nandini's hand. After she was done Narendra moved forward and he started by feeding sweet to both Manik and Nandini. He opened a small box and took out a watch from it and put it on his wrist. And he also gave an envelope to him. And than he took Nandini's left hand and put it in Manik's right hand. He put both of his hands on both of their heads and said " God bless you both".
" now you guys can exchange the rings ". Said Nyonika turning to Mukti for the ring.
Mukti gave a maroon velvet box to her. And Nyonika took out the ring from it and gave it to Manik. Manik was already holding Nandini's hand so he held it in a way that he can easily slipped the ring in it but before that he lift up his face and look around to Narendra than Amms than chachi and than his mom and dad to take the permission for putting the ring on. All of them gave him the permission by smiling whole heartedly. Than he tilted his head a little to take a look at Nandini's face and asked in a very soft tone
"May I "
She just lift her gaze with the most beautiful smile on her face.
He put the ring on her ring finger and rubbed her hand with his thumb a little and left it in her lap.
Narendra moved forward and took out a box from his pocket and gave the ring taking it out. It was a sleek platinum engagement ring with shimmering bright diamonds studded all around it. He gave it to Nandini and put his hand on her head as if giving her the permission to go ahead. Nandini looked at Manik with a pink face blushing and getting shy all over to ask his hand...and Manik was in a mischievous mood not giving .his hand to her.
He thought ' she has to take my hand herself now'. Every body was watching. Looking at Manik's mischievousness Cabir bend down and whispered in his ears.
" yaar agar tu apna haath aage Nahi badhayega tou...Teri tou engagement aaj hone se rahi ". He said teasing him..
" aaj tou usse hi aage badhna hoga ". Manik replied back.
Navya came on Nandini's Side and sat on her knees beside her and said
" Nandini...Kya hua jeejaji ka haath pakad kar ring pehnao ".
Nandini was staring her hands looking down.
" Nandini tum mere yaar ki zidd Ko nahin jaanti ho...Dekho agar tum khud ring nahin pehnaogi tou yeh aisa hi baitha rahega."
Manik was enjoying this drama and her facial expressions which was getting red.
' Aiyyappa yeh kyun nahin samajh rahe hai ki main khud se kaise kar sakti hoon '
Nandini thought ' please give me strength please...please ' she told herself
' I can do it...common common... ' she was encouraging herself.
She lift her hand slowly... Moved towards Manik...held his left hand and put the ring on his finger...and everyone gave huge round of applause..
Nandini came back to her senses and saw what she did. She actually was still holding Manik's Hand. She lifted her gaze and looked at Manik in a panicky look...but he was smiling widely and lovingly looking at her... Blood rushed through her cheeks giving her a heating sensation. She looked down getting all shy and embarrassed.
Manik stands up and pulled Nandini's hand a little and make her stand up too.
" wah mere sher...aakhir apni manwali naa" Cabir gave a big tap on Manik's shoulder. " maan Gaye tujhe... Anyways Bahut Bahut Mubarak ho " Cabir gave Manik a bone crushing hug with lots of happiness. " congratulations bro "
Manik left Nandini's hand and hugged him back.
Dhruv also comes to him and hugged him and said " congrats bhai..." Manik gave a hearty smile and hugged him back.
Navya hugged Nandini and said " Bahut Bahut Mubarak ho Nandini "
Mukti also came and gave her a hug and said" welcome to the family Nandini... Oops bhabs "
Aliya also hugged her and said "congratulations ".
Manik was getting irked watching everyone coming and hugging Nandini and somehow peoples hands is going on her back. Nandini noticed this and she got uncomfortable.
She thought of Something and called Navya. She said " Navya can you come with me to the room... Actually my sandals are bothering me... I want to change it ".
" ya ya lets go".
Navya went with Nandini inside the house. Manik and Cabir were watching them.
" ab tu yeh mat kehna ki tujhe bhi andar jaana hai" Cabir starts teasing Manik. He said " nai woh Maine aisa tou nahi kaha " Manik said looking for a chance to go inside the house.
The elder members were busy taking care of the guests. So Cabir stealing the glances from every body sneaked in the house along with Manik. As soon as they enter... They saw Navya was coming down from the stairs.
" the coast is clear... Tu jaa jo kaam karne ke liye aaya hai woh kar le " Cabir signed Manik.
" miss sakhi- saathi ji aap yahan Kya kar rahi hain " Cabir asked Navya.
She ignored him and saw Manik's restlessness and said " jeejaji hum jaante hain Aap Nandini se milna chahte hain... Woh upar apne sandals change karne gayi hai... Aap jaa sakte hain. Manik climbed the stairs to go in Nandini's room.
Navya turned to Cabir and said
"Hamara naam Navya hai ... Aur kafi Acha naam hai to kripya aap Hume hamare naam se bulaiye ".
" wah Kya naam hai...NAVYA... Yani ki new... But new what ". He started teasing her.
" Kya matlab hai Aapka" Navya got angry

In Nandini's room Manik slowly entered and look around but Nandini was not there. He grinned a little and went outside in the balcony. She was standing there looking in the sky holding the railings.
Manik walked very quietly towards her without making any noise. He stands behind, very close to her. Nandini felt his breadth on her shoulders. She knew that he was gonna come here. She didn't move. Manik placed his hands on her shoulders. She closed her eyes feeling his hands on her shoulders.
Manik's slowly turned her around and saw her eyes closed. He smiled seeing his effect on her.
" Nandini aankhein kholo " he said in a very seductive tone.
Nandini's heart start racing. She didn't open her eyes.
" Nandini agar Tum aankhein nahi khologi tou mujhe kuch aisa karma padega ki Tum Khud hi aankhein khol dogi " she still didn't open her eyes.
" theek hai main 3 tak count karunga if you don't open your eyes than... Than I... Will kiss you... " he said in a husky tone
Nandini shot opened her eyes and she was blushing like crazy from his close proximity and what he just said...Her heart beat is running like an express train. Manik start caressing her hands and tracing it down from arms to her fingers and he lifted her hands and bring it closed to his mouth and placed his lips on it. Nandini again closed her eyes. While kissing he lifted his eyebrows and saw her reaction. He was enjoying his effect on her. Seeing her eyes closed he lift up his face and said.
" Nandini... Look at me ". She shakes her head in a no.
" please " he pleaded.
She open her eyes and looked at him and lower her gaze.
" are you happy " he asked
She said " yes"
" I need a permission from you" he asked
" kaisi permission ". She asked very softly.
He just take his hands at the back of her head and holds the hair pin.
" may I "
She nodded her head in yes
He simply opened the hair clip and let loose her hair and it falls on her back. Nandini thought 'why did I felt that he didn't like my hair tied up.'
" I don't like it when it's tied up " he said
' here he said it ' Nandini thought.
" main ek baat puchun...aapse " she asked
" haan haan pucho na main tou wait kar raha hoon ki tum mujh se Kuch poocho ya baat karo but tum bahut sharmati ho yaar ".
" woh...actually...main puchna chahti thi...ki...ki...aap khush hai..." She stammer and asked him.
"What do you think ".. He asked her instead of answering.
" meri aankhon mein dekh kar batao ".
She looked into his eyes and...She couldn't handle the intensity in his eyes and looked away.
" meri aankhon mein dekho Nandini " he said seductively leaving her hands and holding her by her shoulders again. He pulled her a little more closer that there was not much of a distance left in between them.. She starts breathing heavily. He moved his hands from his shoulders to her face without lifting and hold her face in his hands and moved very close to her...that their lips were inches apart... Nandini got tensed and closed her eyes tight and she was clenching her fist more tightly.. Manik's noticed her uncomfortableness and smiled a little and he gave a very soft kiss on her forehead.. And moved a little away leaving her.
" don't worry Nandini... I won't do anything without your willingness and consent". He assured her...woh tou tumne mujhse pucha ki if I'm happy or not ...so I was showing my happiness with action..." He stars teasing her again.
She was hiding her blush looking here and there.
" waise I'm very happy " he bend a little closer to her and whispers in her ear.
Her cheeks turned red hearing his answer.
" I...want to say something to you " she said trying to talk to him about her past.
" haan bolo na " he said.
" ahem ahem...main aajaaon " asked Navya standing in the room interrupting their conversation.
" what timing ". Manik murmurs to himself.
" I'm so so sorry to disturb you guys... But everyone is looking for you in the function and you guys are wanted there... So I'm really sorry for interrupting". Navya apologized.
" no problem Navya... Hum neeche aahi rahe thei " Manik answered.
" let's go Nandini...uncle be kaha hai ki tumhe saath le kar aaon ".
She grabbed Nandini's hand and dragged her with her.
Manik stood there smiling and than walked out of the bed room.
