Chapter 10 :
Ranbir's pov :
"kyu...kya hua.. whats so urgent" nandini spoke nd got
up from the chair nd stood beside cabir
"kuch nahi..kuch papers hai.. they need to be signed by
me.. have to rush.. bahut imp papers hai.." cabir said
grabbed his keys nd signalled dhruv to get up..
"but dhruv bhai kyun.. aap jao na.. let him stay here..
agar aap log chalae jao gae tao mai ghar kaisae jaau.."
she again spoke innocently pouting.. I just felt lke kissing
the pout then and there itself but controlled myself
reminding my stupid mind that her brothers were
standing in front of us...
"offo .. Ranbir hai na.. vo tujhae ghar chod daega... kyu
Ranbir.. tujhae kuch problem hai..nandu k ghar chod
nae mai" cabir asked me
"it would be a pleasure to do.. cabir u don't worry ill drop
her home safe and sound.. ur sister is in safe hands " I
said nd stressed the last line.. I don't know y but I
wanted him to trust me regarding her..nd more was that
ki I wanted to leave them immediately as I wanted to
spent time alone which would not b possible until they
are around..
He winked at both of us and said "haan.. pata hai.. isi
liyae tho bol raha hun.. u both share and enjoy ur
coffee" and kissed her hair assuringly.
She again blushed.. god y does she blush so much at
every small thing.. within no time they left..nd we both
again sat together
None of us was talking but the silence was speaking
volumes..breaking the silence the waiter came with our
single cold coffee
"sir.. ur cold coffee.."he said and placed the coffee on
the table and placed an empty glass beside for us to
share it ...nd I signalled him to leave
We both touched the glass same time and our fingers
touched.. I could feel her shiver.. she immediately
withdrew her hands gestured me to pour it into the other
glass... I finally accomplished the task.. and pushed the
glass to her side
After sipping it I finally spoke breaking the akward
silence prevailing
"umm.. its good.. ur taste is really gud.. I never had a
cold coffee lke this one.." I said nd expected her to reply
but she just smiled in reply.. what to do.. shez not
uttering a single word nd her silence was something
very much unbearable bye me.. so to tease her.. I said
" are u dumb ?" saying this I winked at her..
U must have seen her expression.. she was looking
really funny.. eyes so widened that they would fall of the
sockets very soon.. nd her mouth in perfect O
I was having a tough time controlling my laugh seeing
her like that
Nd finally my plan was successful and she spoke
"do I look like dumb..?? I spoke to bhai earlier didn't u
hear.. or let me guess r u deaf ??" she retorted angrily
making a cute angry pout and continued drinking her
coffee..
" I didn't mean that.. I can perfectly hear.. whn I asked
u.. u didn't rply so I thought u couldn't.." nd didn't extend
further as of now I understood that she gets angry very
easily
"nai.. aaisi koi baat nahi hai..its just that ki I was.. I
was.." she was stammering...nd she started revolving
the straw in her glass making rounds in it..
"its ok.. I understand u might b nervous right..?" I asked
sum nonsense just to get the right answer from her..
"nahi.. aaisa kuch nahi hai.." she again said a one liner
nd got busy with her coffee
"toh.. tell me about urself.. I mean we are now friends
right..? nd friens ko ek dusarae kae baarae mae janna
chahiyae.." I asked wishing her to speak up something
"mmm... im doing my MBA.. I like music.." she started
telling about herself.. her collage her friends her family..
I didn't listen much but was just looking at her
expressions which were priceless..her eyes sumtimes
big sometimes small.. nd getting no reply from me she
looked at me.. nd I was caught staring...
"tum sun bhi rahae hoy a nahi..?" she asked finding me
lost.
"aa..haan..im listening na.. continue.." I said covering up
"mainae tumsae kuch pucha tha.. uska jawab do..?" she
asked a bit annoyed this time
"kya pucha..tumnae..?" I asked completely clueless
about wht she has asked..
"to tumnae nahi suna.." she caught me..
"vo..vo.." I started stammering nd she was serious for a
moment nd burst out laughing.. she was laughing her
heart out..nd I was completely enjoying her laugh..which
seemed like the most melodious music to my ears
"u must have seen ur face" she spoke pointing her finger
towards my face controlling her laugh but again laughed
nd composed herself after sometime..
"u look beautiful while laughing.. always keep smiling " I
said and again she blushed..
"yaar,.. y do u blush soo much ?"I asked out of curiosity
She started looking her and there.. suddenly took her
glass threw away the strar nd gulped the coffee in one
go.. the lather was stuck above her lips which she didn't
bother to clean after keeping the glass down
"I think humae ghar chalna chaiyae.." she said diverting
the topic I previously asked her.. I leaned closer to her
she was stunned .. but I kept moving closer nd closer.. I
could feel her breath going uneven.. I was enjoying the
effect I had on her.. I slowly lifted my hand nd cupped
her cheek she closed her eyes tightly...
I caressed her cheek with my thumb nd put my other
hand on her other cheek.. she was now completely out
of her senses her breathing was going wilder with each
passing second.. I was trying my best not to laugh
seeing her totally red..
"ran..ran...rannbirrr,..." She managed to speak
I just hummed
"vo.. vo..." she was stammering very badly
"vo vo kya nanduuu?? Aagae bolo na ?" I asked nd
her eyes were open wide I winked at her she looked
away shyly and again closed her eyes...
I placed both of my thumbs on her lips and cleaned the
coffee lather stuck above her lips.. she shivered at my
very touch...
"hogaya.." I said cleaning it and sat back in my chair
normally as if nothing happened.. she was totally flushed
The waiter came with a box and gave it to her
"yae kya hai..?" she asked immediately as the waiter out
the box in front of her
"aapkae bhai nae bola tha aapko danae ko.." saying this
he turned to leave
She opened the box and there were chocolate muffins..
"aww... bhai ko yaad hai.. that I love these.."she said
looking at them nd immediately took her phone nd dailed
Cabirs number
"bhai...u remember that I liked these when we visited
here last time..?" she asked as soon as cabir received
her call
"how could I forget ?" was cabirs reply
"oh.. bhai .. I love u soo soo much.."she exclaimed
"even ur bhai loves u baby doll.. chalo c u at home im
driving.."he said
"ok.. byee.. c u at home.." she said and ended the call.
I was looking at her.. the was she was talking to cabir
reminded me of someone.. but I pushed away my
thoughts and asked her
"tho..u love ur brother very much ha..?"
"haan.. I love him more than anything.. he is the first
person in my life.. no one to me is more than him...bhai
is my everything..he takes care of every single and the
smallest thing of mine.. I just love him very very much"
she said and I saw tears welling up her eyes.. ohh such
a pure soul she was..
"yeah.. I do understand.." I replied and continued "so
ghar chalein ?" I asked diverting the topic nd she
nodded cutely.
We paid and left from there.
On the way to her house she was again silent..to break
the silence I took the lead and spoke
"nandu.."I took a pause nd continued " ha.. can I call u
lke that.. I mean we r now friends right.." I was looking at
her curiously waiting her reply nd she nodded her head
as a yes smilingly.
"so nanduu.. umm.. r u free tomorrow ?"
"what..!! I mean collage jana hai.." she said
"of course collage tho jana hai.. after collage ?" I asked
"yeah.. what would I do after collage im free.."
"tho.. kal kahin bahar chalein ?" I asked.. desperately
waiting her to say yes..
"vo.. bhai ko kya bolu..?"
"bol do na ki we r going out together.." I said casually
"umm.. chachi ko..?" she again asked
"kuch bhi bol do.. yaar whats a big deal?"
"tumhae pata hai chachi kitinii questions puchithi hai ?"
she said cutely looking at me..
"tho seedhae seedhae bol do ki apnae frnd kae saath
bahar ja rahi ho.. common nandu whats a big deal in it..
say yes na..?" I asked looking at her
"hmm.. ill.. ill see.."
"so ill come and pick u up at 4.. what say ?" I asked her
"ok..mai ready ho jaungi.. but jana kahan hai..?" again a
question.. God soo many questions... ladki hai ya
question bank..
"movie dekhnae chaltae hai.." I said.. nd she just nodded
With that we reached her house.. she got ready to leave
"area number tho dekae jao.. hw will I call u ?" I asked
as my brain worked fast at the right time
Nd she gave me her number waved me bye and left
from there.. I looked at my watch and my countdown
started to meet her tomorrow...

"bhai aap kab aarahae ho ??" navya asked immediately after
Manik answered the call
"navya.. calm down..ill b back soon.. pata nahi yeh Ranabir
kahan gayab ho gaya.. warna I would have been back by now"
manik explained calmly..
"lekin bahi.. that's not fair.. u said na ull b back.." navya nagged
like a child
"haan baba.. mainae bola tha.. but kya karu.. thoda kaam
pending hai.. I cant come leaving the work in middle lke dat
right..?" said manik trying to convience her
But ..but.. navya was navya..
"main na aap sae bahut bahut narraz hun.. im not gonna talk to
u until u come back.. aap hi decide karlo.. mai yaa kaam..
bye.." saying this she without giving him a chance to speak cut
the call.
"hello..hello..navya listen..meri baat tho suna...hello.. cut kar
diya...this girl na.. she ll some day make me mad" thought
manik and he knew talking to navya this time would be waste
as she ll definitely not listen to him... suddenly an idea stuck in
his mind.. he took his phone and dialled the number of that
person
"haan.. tum jo bhi hi karo.. jaisae bhi karo I don't care.. kal thak
saari arrangements ho jani chaiyae.. it should reach home
along with the sun...I don't know tum kya karogae.. I want it
that's it.. even if u have to pay twice amount pay it.. but I want it
at any cost.. u get that..!!" manik spoke to the other person in
his bossy manner.. and cut the call..
"ab dekhtha hun.. kaisae nahi baath karthi hai mujhsae.."
thought manik smilingly nd rested on the couch watching tv..
" iss Ranbir ka kuch karna padaega.. i cant upset Navya everytime" thought manik "but..." and again got lost in his thoughts
